00:00Real quick, the only ask I could ever have of you guys is to help spread the word so we can help more women lose body fat, build muscle, reach their goals, and feel insanely confident. And the only way we can do that is if you rate, review, and share this podcast. So the single thing I ask for you to do is if you could leave a review. It will take you 10 seconds, and it will mean the absolute world to me and may change the world of someone else. There's no guarantee. I mean, as healthy and young as we appear to be, there really is no guarantee we're going to wake up tomorrow.

00:32So what would be the most empowering version of Jennifer? How would I treat myself? How would I feed myself, hydrate myself? Would I move? Would I sit all day in front of my computer and not do my, you know, sacred dance practice where I'm full of energy? Like, what would that look like? And some of those questions can really help just steer you back on track. What is going on, everybody? Welcome to The WarriorBabe Show.

01:02And today I am super excited. We have Jennifer Joy Jimenez. Am I saying that last name right? You can say it with a J. It's actually from Mexico. My husband's from Mexico City. So the J in a Latin American culture is pronounced as an H officially. So Jimenez. But you could say Jimenez. You can say whatever you'd love. All right. Awesome. Well, everybody, I'm super excited to have Jennifer here with us today. She is a founder of the health and well-being division at Brave Thinking Institute.

01:35And as well, she's a highly sought after speaker. She's a consultant. She's a trainer. She's a coach. She's just like a BA woman, man. I'm excited for her to be here today. She has done transformational retreats, workshops, and cutting edge, vibrant, healthy women's program that she offers. And she's coached thousands worldwide to become more confident, healthy, joyful, abundant, and full of life so that they and everyone can feel empowered to make the difference that

02:07they have here in this world, which I love that so much about you, Jennifer. And I'm selfishly so excited to get to know you a little bit more. So welcome to the show. It is an honor. The pleasure is all mine. Thanks for having me. Yeah. So as I mentioned with your intro there, you've guided so many individuals on their journey to personal transformation and wellness. So I'd love to start by asking you what initially led you on this path of becoming a transformational coach and a wellness expert? And what continues to fuel your passion on a day-to-day basis for helping others achieve

02:40their fullest potential? Oh my gosh. I love that question. It's so juicy. Yeah. So I never thought that I would do exactly what I'm doing today. You know, I always envied people that when they were young, they knew they wanted to be like a doctor or they had that all figured out, right? Raise your hand, right? If in your mind, if you like envied those people that just felt like they had it all together and that was not me. So, but my first passion was in the wellness space and in dance.

03:11So my first dream was to be a professional dancer and I was really blessed to be raised by a thought leader mother. So the founder of the Brave Thinking Institute is my mom. She is a quintessential thought leader. She teaches transformational principles. She's been studying and teaching for over 50 years, which is super rare these days. There's very few people alive on the planet that can, that can say that. And so I was raised from a very young age to dream big and that I could be and do and

03:42have anything. And I learned a lot of these principles early on. So I went for it. Like I did not go the typical route. I fell in love with my husband while I was in high school on a vacation to Mexico, moved to Mexico to be with him and study dance and then moved to New York and study dance in New York. And we got married and moved to LA and I danced professionally for a few years. And then we started to have a family and he's in the arts as well. And I found myself losing myself, right?

04:12Oftentimes when we go through these, these beautiful opportunities to grow, it's when life occurs, right? And we get really busy. And I, I hung up my dance shoes because that bohemian, you know, kind of gypsy lifestyle did not go very well with raising babies. And I went into sales. I was always really good with people. So I went and got this like corporate sales job. And here I am, you know, under fluorescent lights in a cubicle selling all day as the primary

04:43breadwinner. But longing and knowing deep down, I was meant for more. And I meet so many people who feel this way, right? They kind of just bite the bullet. They go into a career or into work because they feel like they should, or they have to, or they're doing the responsible thing and they're bringing home the bacon. And then so many women that I know, I'm sure you meet them every day. We stop taking care of ourselves. We take care of everybody else around us, my kids, my husband, my team, like I was doing

05:15well, making good money, but I got super burned out. And I've always been the one in my family to like make sure we're eating healthy. And here, so this gives you an example of how far from my truth in my center I had drifted. I wouldn't eat all day and I would literally go into the break room and I would grab a handful of peanut M&Ms because they had, I don't know why, they had these like bowls of peanut M&Ms to keep us all sugared up in sales and a Diet Coke, right? And that was my breakfast and lunch.

05:45And then I'd get home and I'd be super fried and I wasn't sleeping. So I got to a really breaking point there and I was so unhappy with myself and with my career that I became really definitely cranky mom. You know, the mom that's just barking orders. There was no spice and juice in my marriage. We were really on the rocks. I was actually considering leaving him. And here, you know, my mother is doing all this great work in the world and I just kind of forgot what I knew.

06:17I forgot what I had been taught. I just kind of fell into the rhythm of regular life. And I went on a women's retreat with her. And it was during that retreat and some really very specific coaching questions, processes, sacred ceremony. We went to a Vortex Energy Center and all of a sudden it was like my soul came back online. The real Jennifer was available to be heard because I didn't have screaming babies around

06:49me all the time and all these responsibilities that were drowning out the true me. And I heard from my higher self that it was time to go back, quit my job, live my purpose, like follow my mission. And I didn't have like a business plan. I had no idea how to do all of this. But I listened and I did go back into my job on Monday and I quit my job and I began a transformational journey. I got back into coaching. I received support.

07:19And pretty quickly, I mean, our souls are super resilient. Like when we make a decision to really follow a new path and we put some support structures in place, we can start feeling better very quickly. And I did. Things really turned around. And today I, you know, own a multimillion dollar business. I speak and teach and coach and travel all over the world. And I'm still married. We'll be celebrating 30 years, which is insane to say that out loud. But my daughter just turned 25 last week and just had a spa day with her actually on Sunday.

07:54It was amazing. Yeah. And so the spice is back in the marriage. We're more in love and happy. We have great sex. Even after 30 years, it's possible. I'm healthier than I've ever been. I'll be 50 this next year. And my passion is to help other women who may feel lost or like they haven't found that true them, you know, that empowered, confident, alive, vibrant, radiant version of them. That exists. It's just been suppressed with all of life's demand.

Okay, that is exactly what we'll want to pull out for the whole podcast today so women can latch on to all of the advice and insights that you have to say on that specific thing.

09:33But wow, holy cow. Okay, you go girl. That's so badass. But I also heard like my story and your story, the same thing. Like I was in nursing first. I was in the healthcare field for nine years. I was a CNA and then I transitioned to a tech, got my BSN degree. And then I was like, screw it. I don't want to do this anymore. I didn't see growth in my potential moving forward. And I knew that God had a bigger mission for me to, a bigger passion and mission for me to accomplish in life. And that's where I fell into, you know, warrior babe.

10:06So I hear you. But what you said there is basically like when your higher self comes on board, you have to listen to it because your soul has already made like a decision. And then you got to allow your body to catch up and follow you on that decision. So all that was so powerful. For your years of working as a transformational coach now, what do you think are like the most common obstacles that people face when it comes to this, you know, approaching personal growth? Yeah. Well, I would say, especially in our space, the messaging women are given, right?

10:42So for, you know, I didn't go into probably one of the most painful pieces for me to really look at face and repattern was all the messaging I was given as a young woman by culture and particularly the professional dance world. It's also pervasive in the fitness world, right? Which is you have to look a certain way. You have to have like 0% body fat. You have to be ripped from head to toe, at least in this day and age, you know, to at least this was the message I felt like I received to feel good enough, to feel beautiful, to feel

11:16fit, to feel confident. And so as I really began to re-engineer who is Jennifer as a woman, as a mother, as an entrepreneur, what does it mean to be healthy and to be successful? One of the first things I did was stare down those paradigms and stare down the messaging that was coming at me so that I could create a new, loving, accepting, confident version

11:48of me, regardless of the number on the scale, regardless of the size of my genes, and really learn how to love myself healthy in a new way. Because the patterns I had learned as a professional dancer, which was starvation, no pain, no gain, over work, under rest, which led to a lot of burnout, right? Which then I took that same paradigm and equated that into the business world. So I didn't want to live either of those results in this new version of me.

12:19So one of the things we really help clients look at is if you want a new result, if you want to feel healthier, if you want to have more money, if you want to live your dream career, if you want to manifest the love of your life, whatever the result is that you're not happy with and you want to shift it and you want to change into a new result, you can't just change the behavior, right? Because at the end of the day, what drives our behavior and our actions are our thoughts. What drives our thoughts are our beliefs.

12:51Our subconscious beliefs are everything. And so if I believe that I'm not beautiful or healthy unless I weigh X amount at X percentage body fat and then therefore every day, it's either a good or a bad day if I've gained or lost a pound, like that is jail. That is mind and soul jail. I lived it and I really didn't want to live that reality anymore. What was required was for me to go down into those dark places and ask myself, where did I pick this up?

13:23Where did I, where did I learn that I had to be a certain size to be a successful, loved, confident woman? Like, where did I learn that? And then pull that weed and begin to plant a new seed of a new belief that I'm vibrant and healthy at any size and shape, that I can love myself today through healthy food that really nurtures and nourishes my body and soul. You know, that I'm not nitpicking every tiny little, you know, calorie, right?

13:55That I can move my body in ways that lifts me up, that lights me up, that brings me longevity and aliveness and joy. One of the things I found along the journey is conscious dance, or you could call it mind, body, spirit movement. And going from professional dance where it was like choreographed movement to this new way of moving felt like I had been a caged bird that got let out for the first time and I

14:27got to fly free. And for me, this is, is it's, I mean, there's so many health benefits in dance. I mean, they're finding mental health wise, it outperforms everything, including antidepressants, weightlifting, all other forms of fitness. And I'm, I'm a big fan of all of it. Let me just say, I think there's room for all of it. I'm not saying not to do that, but dance. Like when you see the studies, it is, I mean, the, the dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, endorphins that get released when particularly us as women turn on some music and just let our soul

15:03move freely is off the chart. So that's like my secret sauce. I bring in conscious dance to everything I do, my coaching, my retreats, my training, my programs. Um, but I would say those, you know, really in inspecting where we took on these beliefs and recognizing the ones that are ours and the ones that aren't are so key. I love that so much. And I'm reading, um, Joe Dispenza's book right now, breaking the habit of being yourself. And that's so juicy. It's so good.

15:33So relatable in so many aspects. But one of the things I find is really hard, especially like as I'm going on my own personal healing journey is the ability to like, not judge yourself with the thoughts that you have around the beliefs or the stories or the narrative that's going on. So a lot of people will judge the way their body looks or judge what, like you said, like the scale literally dictates how their mood is, if it goes up or down. And instead getting curious with where those thoughts are coming from, but also in this fast paced, like day-to-day life that we all live, like actually bringing the curiosity

16:08and awareness to the beliefs and the narratives that we hold about ourselves can be really hard for people to do. So, and like to actually sit with them, like that's what people, like, I feel like you need to take the time out of your day to sit with understanding where these thoughts are coming from so that you can rewrite the narrative. So how would you guide people in reflecting on like a fast paced, busy day on like this, this aspect of what it needs to get, you need to get to the core of it to truly transform

16:39and understand so you can rewrite it in a different narrative. How would you guide people to do that? I would say, you know, first and foremost, I, I think the, the piece that was so helpful for me was guidance because we have a saying that when you're the one in the frame, you can't see yourself when you're the one in the frame, like you're so close to it that a lot of these thoughts are just happening on autopilot, right? So finding books, podcasts, like your podcast, coaching programs really help give you the kinds

17:09of questions. Like one of the questions we ask every client is what is your longing and discontent? We get two powerful signals from our soul and it really is the longing and discontent. And so many people aren't willing to look at that because they're taught, well, you should just be grateful for what you have. You have so much, you live in this abundant, you know, like if we're here in the U S we live in this abundant world where we have food and we have a roof over our head. So just be grateful, suck it up. Well, longing and discontent around certain behaviors really is this deep signal that some

17:39things may be slightly off, you know, like there's an opportunity to grow. And then we asked the question, if you could wave a magic wand, time or no issue, money were no issue, age were no issue, education were no issue. You had all the support in the world. Like what if you literally had a hundred million dollars in the bank, right? What would you love? Like truly, like what, if you could do anything, what would that look like? If you could change the narrative, if you could create a new relationship with yourself

18:10and particularly that inner critic, you know, one of the things we, and I'm sure you do a lot of this as well is just re, first of all, you have to notice what you're noticing. You have to first be able to even hear the voice in your head, then find that internal pause button, right? That interrupting that broken record and not talk to yourself the way you wouldn't talk to your best friend. You've got to befriend. You get to, we get to befriend ourselves and say, you know, would, would, would I allow

18:40these words out of my mouth if it was my child or my pet that I love so much or my best friend? I mean, we all have this fierce defender within ourselves, right? That person, if somebody was saying something mean to our spouse or our friend or somebody we love, we would defend them with all our might, right? So it's finding that being that we have within ourselves and then becoming that inner coach, becoming that defender, like lifting ourselves up versus cutting ourselves down so much.

19:14Love that so much. I think that's a very insightful on those words for sure. And on the follow-up to that would be, okay, let's say that we start to rewrite these narratives and we start to get more confident. We're being that, that teacher that we have to be for ourselves. How would you guide somebody that in three months, you know, the, those, those thoughts come back, those, those feelings, those narratives of stories come back. How would you guide somebody then at that point to recognize maybe this is a universe

19:47just kind of like testing you to like really like question if this is what you really want, like with the person that you're becoming, like how would you coach somebody that may get trapped in those beliefs and try to remind them of the direction that they're going? Yeah, that's such a good question. So one of the things we teach here at the Brave Thinking Institute is we live in a spiral universe. We're either moving up the spiral of our becoming or we're falling back down. There is no staying in homeostasis in one place. And we're constantly, our soul self wants to grow, right?

20:19Our soul self is seeking growth. So either if you've worked with these beliefs and they start to revisit, one of two things is happening typically. Either we've stopped doing the things that were working that helped us stay connected to a mindset of self-love, self-acceptance, um, and an expansion, right? And then drowned out because literally everywhere you turn as a woman, you go to the grocery store, every magazine is lose 10 pounds in 10 days. Like every scroll on your Instagram or on Facebook is about, you know, where they're trying to

20:55sell us some sort of diet, fad, some sort of, sort of new fitness regime to help us think that if we could have the perfect body, then we're going to feel really great about ourselves. So they're trying to, you know, the, the messaging really is about not feeling good so that we'll buy the products so that then we'll feel like we're lovable and loved and all of those things, right? So we've got to drown all of that out and put our attention on the relationship and the new conversation that we know is the empowering one. So if you've done that and you're starting to hear the old stories come back in, either

21:31we've stopped reading, journaling, receiving coaching, and now the, this, you know, just the world is starting to seep in, into that subconscious that then drives those thoughts, right? Or you are doing the thing, but you've hit what we call your upper limit. And when we hit the upper limit, right? So we all have a thermostatic setting on how happy, successful, alive, abundant, we're used to feeling, right? So if you think about my house today, I'm here in Southern California, it's been chilly,

22:04it's been like 50 degrees, so my thermostat's going to kick in and bring me to like 69, right? But if it gets really hot, right? So I start getting more happy, more abundant. The other thing that will happen is that internal thermostatic setting will kick in to try to bring us back down. And oftentimes it'll wire and fire the thought patterns that are the old patterns that still are there, right, around not good enoughness, around needing to look a certain way to feel

22:36loved and accepted. And so again, it really is our brave thinking tool number one is notice what you're noticing. It's that metacognitive mind. We have a soul self and we have the human self. The human self has those programmings, those old, you know, records or, you know, MP3s or whatever we want to call them, you know, that run in our minds, right? So if you can just stay awake enough to hear the thought to, and for me as a, I'm more somatic

23:09in nature, right? So I'm a kinesthetic learner as a dancer. I experience a lot of things first in the body first. Now, sometimes I notice the thinking, but oftentimes it'll be like this emotion, like energy in motion, right? Any sort of an emotion is just simply energy moving through us. So I notice, how am I feeling? Am I feeling low energy? Am I feeling judged? Am I feeling triggered, right? And so I notice that and I can say, what am I really needing right now?

23:43Like, where is this coming from? What would be an empowering action step that is in alignment with the version of Jennifer I want to be? But in this moment, like we can only live in the current moment. We can't live in tomorrow. We can just show up today and say, okay, what is the version of Jennifer today that what's like an ideal day? You know, what am I doing? Because I can't, there's no guarantee. I mean, as healthy and young as we appear to be, there really is no guarantee we're going

24:16to wake up tomorrow. So what would be the most empowering version of Jennifer? How would I treat myself? How would I feed myself, hydrate myself? Would I move? Would I sit all day in front of my computer and not do my, you know, sacred dance practice where I'm full of energy? Like, what would that look like? And some of those questions can really help just steer you back on, on track. Yeah. So good. That's, I feel like I'm talking to Joe Dispenza right now. You're so good, Jennifer. I love this.

24:46And I know this is going to help the community so much because there's so many limiting beliefs that women carry on. I mean, Joe says like we live our lives, 95% of us operate from our subconscious brain on a daily basis. About halfway through our life, we've already embedded all of those, the beliefs and the things and the stories that we carry on. And 5% of us live consciously on a daily basis. So we're operating from our subconscious mind. Yeah. Yeah. So, which is crazy, right? Like, I'm, that's, that's, that's a little scary. I know when you finally hear that and you realize that it really is a, is a wake up call for

25:21sure. Yeah, totally. Quick break. If you're finding this episode helpful so far, it would mean a lot if you could hit pause for just a second, leave a quick rating or a review or share it with someone who could benefit from it. Your support helps more women discover these tools to build muscle, lose fat and feel confident. Thank you so much for being a part of this journey with me. So for women that like in the fitness space there, they've, like you mentioned, they have these thoughts and stories around the marketing strategies, or they're being yelled out on

25:55social media, or they're being told to look this way, or, you know, lose 10 pounds by doing this X, Y, Z. And so they're taking in all of this at face value. And they may not have necessarily the knowledge of what it takes to do things in like a healthy and sustainable way. Or they're just stuck in the stories that they've carried on by watching their mom grow up and being on diet after diet after diet. So they think they have to do the same. Yeah. And this has become right. So they're taking in on the knowledge aspect. Then the emotional brain, which is in the middle of the brain, they've carried those,

26:28those emotions. And so that's in the state of the being that they're in right now. So how, what would you, what were some takeaways? Cause like, I love what you're at. You're saying right now, it's like, okay, this is like your current self. You're, you're dealing with these thoughts and patterns, but there's a future you and the one, the, like the future Jennifer, like waking up on a daily basis. And like, this is how I want to show up. But let's say me without like how I would answer this, but like, like I, like there's a

26:58learning that has to take place because the future you doesn't know that yet. Right. Or the future you that wants to get there has that knowledge and understanding, but the you now doesn't. So what would you recommend people to do to get them to not only learn things, read books, listen to podcasts, but then emotionally take on the thing and then become and turn it into their identity. Almost like, what does it look like and mean to you to operate at your fullest potential? Yeah. That's like a really, really good question. That is what it wasn't going to make sense there.

27:31How does transformation occur? Quick. Wait a second. How do you change your whole life? Yeah, right. How does it become a state of being? No, I appreciate it. You know, I'm so grateful for my mentors and like the Joe Dispenza's and the Mary Morrissey's and the Wayne Dyer's and the, those that are in their seventies and, or have passed on, right. Who came before us because really, truly my generation, I think you're younger than me. Your generation, those that are coming up from us. We are standing on the shoulders of giants.

28:02It really, truly has never been more codified how you can transform from who you are today to an actualized version of yourself than, than today. And that really is. I'm so grateful to my mother because she, you know, her, her story's fascinating. I probably wouldn't be here today if she hadn't found these principles. So she got pregnant when she was a teenager, had my brother before she was 18 and then got diagnosed with fatal kidney disease because back in the sixties, they didn't have kidney

28:36transplants or dialysis or any of that. And she had a, um, and I get, I just get chills when I, when I think about this, she had a chaplain who studied universal spiritual principle, all the things that Joe Dispenza and all these teachers now have codified into books and programs. Right. And they, she basically sat with her and said, what's been going on in your life in the last few months and or years. And my mother told her the story of pregnancy and feeling shamed and like literally kicked out of her high school, kicked out of her friend group.

29:07Like she was just in this shame, toxic energy, which created toxicity in her body. And the chaplain began to introduce her to these principles that then she ultimately healed. She had the surgery, they removed the kidney and they did, they'd given her six months to live. She began to work with her mind and her energy in a new way and healed. And then went on to have two more children, uh, three more children, um, and take the, her whole lifetime to study what had happened and all the books and all the training, and

29:40then codify it into a tested and proven transformational system. Because, you know, these topics of quantum physics and how thoughts become things. And your question, how do I become my most actualized version of me is not something that for many, many decades was very easy to train people on. So our entire Institute has dedicated decades of our life to codify these principles into coaching programs.

30:11And what we've learned is there's two ways to, we, you could almost see it as a computer, right? And when a computer is, when we first get our brand new, like I have a Mac, my brand new Mac, there's no, there's no operating system installed on it. It's just available. When we come in as human beings, like babies, whether we're born in Asia or Africa or the United States or Canada, we're this open receptacle. And then through our upbringing, we get taught a language, we get taught how to eat, we get

30:44taught things from our parents, from our society and culture, and from our education that create our sense of identity. Now the soul self is just pure light. It's pure love. It's pure energy. It's pure potentiality. And we've been given human will to, I believe we're like, it's part of this spiritual life school. Like I've come into this human birth with these preset lessons that I'm supposed to learn, right? To become actualized, to really become my highest version of me.

31:17And so I, when, when we're, when we take a look at, okay, what is my current operating system to your point, the beliefs, the habits, the, the ways of thinking, all the information that's coming at me. And I realize, oh, I can draw a line in the sand. And I don't have to keep living this way just because this was the operating system that got installed. I could choose to install a new operating system of abundance, of self-love, of confidence. I can literally rewrite who I am.

31:49I have the conscious ability through tested and proven principles to do this. And it literally is like installing a new operating system. Now, maybe in the future, there would be a way to do this in 24 hours. Like that's going to be awesome, right? Like where it's so fast. Like it's that, like you snap your fingers and it's that fast. That's not been my experience and, or the experience of clients that we work with. But the way we do it right now currently is through repetition of a new operating system,

32:23right? New thoughts and new beliefs that then generate new actions and results and immersion. Immersion is like, if you've ever, think about learning a new language, right? When you learn a new language, you can either do it through repetition of taking a once a week class in Spanish, or you do it like I did where I pulled off the bandaid. I'd moved to Mexico and I literally didn't speak English for like nine months and neither did my husband would let anybody speak to me in English. And I remember coming back from that. My parents were like, you have like an accent in English.

32:56So weird. I haven't spoken English in like, I don't even know who I have anymore. Like I literally felt, I swear to God, I felt, you know, when Joe talks about you can wire and fire new neuronal pathways, like I felt them. It was painful to unhook and then to hook in new Spanish speaking. Like it was a thing. But now for the rest of my life, I speak this new language. And this is like the language of transformation. It really is learning a new language. So we have 12 week programs, six months, 12 months.

33:29I would say on average, if somebody's really wanting to do an overhaul of their whole way of being, you know, minimum of 12 to 24 months of repetition of coaching. So they're learning new curriculum. They're taking that and operating that in their life. They're learning new beliefs. They're installing just literally a new way of thinking and being. And then immersion is my favorite because again, I love to teach and train through immersive experience. I literally just got back nine, eight days ago from my transformational retreat that I do

34:05in the Riviera Maya. And the, what can happen in seven days of transformational experiences. So we do sacred spiritual ceremony. We do guided visualization and meditation. We do mind, body movement and transcend dance, my codified process. There's just these incredible experiences that create a strong emotional impact, right? So think about the way we learn. Like that's why trauma is so hard to repattern because it is a massive, strong emotional impact

34:37that created this response in you that you, it's not a logical thing. Like every, like if you ever were in a car accident, then every time you turn a curve really fast, your whole system responds because it was a strong emotional impact. Well, you can create that in positive ways in transformation. So I have these processes and these things that we do on retreat that create this incredible, strong emotional impact where these women literally walk away from this retreat new. Like I feel like in seven days I can do what takes me 12 months through a once a week coaching

35:12experience. Like it's insane. And then the two go together within a year. My clients are there, you know, they haven't finished their transformational spiritual journey, but they are very different human beings for sure. Yes. That yes to all of that. And I want to that last bit there making the seven day experience so much different than a transformation over 12 months is probably most likely the environment, right? Yes. That one gets in. So I want to talk about that. So I'm going to pin that right there, but yes to everything that you are saying to that

35:44answer. Because like I think about it on my, like on a journey of fitness. Okay. I was consciously incompetent at the beginning of my journey where I just like immersed myself in all of the understandings. I wanted to get to said result, but I had no idea how to get there. So I just learned nutrition. I learned working out. I learned what it took to be a bodybuilder. I learned those like aspects of it. And then what I love that you said there is like, uh, or for anybody listening to as well as like, if you don't know macronutrients or you don't know working out, or you don't know how to be a confident person where you have to learn those things, you have to learn

36:18what confidence is, you have to learn what compassion is and you have to learn what macros are. And then you're able to take the action and deploy on those necessary things on a daily basis that are in alignment with the person that you want to become. And then the full on, like over and over and over again, which is the immersion of it and being it and doing it and experience it and learning and adjusting and optimizing the way that you're handling it is how you get to the transformation because then it just becomes a state of being and it becomes a part of your identity.

36:50Exactly. Yes. Yes. Mic drop, mic drop. And to the note of quantum physics, like back to that, it's like, um, it's energy at that point. Right. So it's like, if somebody can just change their state, like the way you can do it in 24 hours and correct me if I'm wrong, is maybe just somebody literally changing the state of their, which is so hard to do, but changing the state and bringing the energy from suffering to abundance, but then acting like that all of the time.

37:20Right. Yeah. I'll give, I'll tell you a quick story. I actually have a 24 hour miracle. I have many, quite a few actually. Yes, please. Um, stories of, you know, like when I said you could, you know, if you could just like do it all at once, I think I'm referring more to like your entire like life, like everything, you know what I mean? Like you're, you go from money struggle to a millionaire, you go from like being unhealthy and addicted to food and soda to all of a sudden being a healthy person that eats really well

37:50and your body's super fit. You know what I mean? Like that would be one day. Awesome. We just go into like a hologram machine. It's like new person, you know, Jennifer. A few really incredible stories. So one of my very first, when I first started to discover conscious dance and these different modalities and learn that, Oh, this is a spiritual practice. This is a mind, body, spirit practice. This is really a practice of, you know, what Joe talks about, which is generating this high vibrational frequency state, but through music and dance, which is like, sign me up.

38:26Can I just do that all day? You know, and I began to codify my version of taking what we were teaching and transformational principles and coaching with conscious dance. And I, you know, that world has a bit of a, um, um, a, uh, uh, like a reputation of being very hippie, you know, and I'm super spiritual, but I'm not like hippie. I'm kind of like in the middle, you know what I mean? Like I'm kind of a good example of the real world meets the spiritual new agey world.

38:58But how do you bring it into like a, like, like for normal people, like in like the real world of raising a family and making a living and like paying taxes. Right. How do you do this? Right. So I began to play with it and one, and I was like, my daughter was very young, like maybe 18 months, two years. And I was the director of the mind, body, spirit workshops for the association for noble global new thought.

39:29My mother was the president of it. So I'm like 26, maybe 20, like super young. And I'm, I'm creating these workshops. And this woman comes to do one of my transcend dance workshops. And she had a locked shoulder and she walks up to me with tears in her eyes and she's crying and she really wants to take the class in the workshop, but she doesn't think she can because she can't even like literally lift her hand over her shoulder. And she says, I've been to 15 different like orthopedic doctors and chiropractors and energy healers. And I've done all the things and nothing's worked.

40:00And so I basically reminded her a couple of things. I said, you need to heal it. You need to feel it to heal it. Right. Um, our issues live in our tissues. You have an inner body wisdom. We all have, I believe, an inner physician within that is guiding us towards our most, most healthy, well person. And very few environments actually give you permission to go within and move your body from that metacognitive self, moving the human self towards healing, towards expansion, towards

40:38aliveness. I said, you may not consciously know what I'm even saying right now, because that's like really out of the box for a lot of people. But just trust as you go through these 10 stages of transcend dance, I will give you some frameworks to work with. But your body will know how to just, if there's any emotion locked in there that has to do with any of this, which they're, I mean, is it possible? And she was like, yeah, definitely possible. I said, okay, so just move your body towards pleasure. Move your body in ways that feel really good. And whatever wants to wash over, like wash through, it could be joy.

41:12It could be anger. It could be sadness. Whatever it is, just let yourself feel as you move. So we start the class. There's about 100 people in the class. So I kind of lost track of her. She comes over at the end and she's got tears streaming down her face. And I'm like, oh no, I hope she didn't like hurt herself. You know, super young to this. I'm like, I'm not sure what she's going to say to me. And as she gets closer, this huge smile comes across her face and she raises her hand over her shoulder. She says, I haven't been able to do this in over nine months. The pain is gone.

41:44I haven't been able to sleep. I haven't been able to move. Like, I don't know what just happened, but like, I really hope this sticks. And it did. Like the pain never came back. It was emotional. Now I'm not saying transcend dance can heal every illness or problem or stuck body part, but it's all interconnected. We are a mind, body, soul system. And I could tell you many, many, many stories of those kinds of things that happen because we move into a higher vibrational frequency. You know, transcend dance or conscious dance in this modality is about moving from pain

42:18to pleasure, from fear to faith, from shame and not feeling good about ourselves to self love and self acceptance through music, through breath, through movement. Another client of mine, speaking of repatterning limiting belief, she's, I want to say in her late six, it's kind of hard to tell. You know what I mean? Like she didn't tell me her age, but I want to say like mid sixties to mid seventies in that frame, right? She, to, to, um, you know, honor her. She says she has about a hundred pounds that she'd like to lose.

42:51Um, and she really came in because she knew just the regular dieting and exercising path calories in calories out was just clearly not working for her. There were deeper emotional issues that she knew she really wanted to address, which is what, you know, I do in a lot of the work that I do. So we were getting ready to go on retreat. I do another retreat in Costa Rica. Now she really wanted to go on this because there's a, a mile long Superman zip line that she just knew was going to bust her fears. And she really wanted to do that zip line. And, but then as we were getting closer to the retreat, she was feeling really, really

43:24nervous and scared because she literally had this knee pain and this hip pain that was super debilitating. Like she wasn't able to go upstairs or go downstairs easily. And she wasn't sure she was going to be able to even participate on some of the excursions we had planned, which I was also going, Hmm. Yeah. I don't know. Like there's a minimum mobility requirement, you know, on a lot of these things. But I said, so here's the thing I said, you know, even if you can't do everything that we have planned, there's so much of this retreat you will be able to do that.

43:56What if we stare down the limiting beliefs and the paradigms that say you shouldn't go at all and we start where we are with what we have? Like we just lean in and do the thing that you can do. And I take clients to this incredible double labyrinth. So one of the things I love to do that I learned from my mentors was going to energy vortex centers. It just helps you connect even more, more easily to your own soul self, right? Cause the energy is so powerful. So we go to this double, it's a, it's a almost a two mile labyrinth and there's these two

44:32columns of vortex energy. There's a feminine energy column and a masculine column. And anyways, we go on this day and we'd already done some powerful work leading up to this, but she, inside of the labyrinth, her story is, um, this energy begins to move through her. She begins to have conversations with her higher self. She calls her higher self God and she hears these messages and she gets clarity about her own voice and sharing her voice. She walks out of the labyrinth and goes to walk up the stairs.

45:02There's this huge dome. So we do this beautiful sound healing bath and movement in this dome. She goes up, she goes to walk up the stairs and she can walk up the stairs with zero pain. Like pain, the hip pain, it's completely gone. And I know it's not just that, you know, thing. It's a combination of experiences that we had that led up to it. But bottom line, she came on that retreat with one set of conditions and she left the retreat

45:33and it's been seven months and that it hasn't returned. So she calls it a miracle, but it's all energy. It's all energy when we tap into this energy. Yeah, absolutely. A hundred percent it is. And I got chills with that, with both of those transformations. That's so beautiful. And I personally understand it's about moving the emotions out of the body. I'm working with an energy coach right now. And what we've done over the last seven weeks, it's incredible by just getting really like it's insane.

46:04I don't want to take up, you know, it was just wild with the experiences I've gone through, which are so freaking cool. Um, and I'm so interested more about your work and maybe just like, you know, even selfishly for me tagging this on to already my healing journey and being immersed in the experiences that you have to offer. And I'm most definitely going to be dropping that all your links and information in the description below for anybody that's also interested that's listening to this episode. Um, one little thing with the trans, trans, trans dance, trans dance, trans dance. Yeah. Yeah. And then, um, is what inspired you to create that?

46:36Yeah, honestly, it was the thing that healed my, I call it my, you know, my body abuser persona. So the, the inner critic, the constantly judging myself, the constantly not feeling enough. Um, and it was really also my fit. We don't have time to do the whole deeper story. Maybe we'll, I'll come back another time to talk about it, but with my daughter's birth, um, and pregnancy, it was the first time that I started to really take care of my body.

47:07As a professional dancer, I was abusing my body. I get pregnant. I come back online and I'm like, oh, I'm tired. I need to sleep. I need to eat. I need to rest. Like, because I was taking care of her, I could feel my body signals again. And coming from, you know, uh, my upbringing, my mother had all these midwives that gave me all these books to do natural birth. So I trained for natural birth. Like I'm training to climb Kilimanjaro. Like I needed to it, like nothing else. Visualizations, my birth plan, like ocean waves every night, like literally meditating on it.

47:41I have a 50, five, zero, five, zero, 50 hour labor in birth that ends with an epidural, which I desperately didn't want. Cause at that time I was very much attached. We have attached energy. It's a constriction energy. And I approached birth the way I had approached a lot of things, right? That was more of a controlling, judgmental, attached. That was my default mode still at that point in my twenties. And so I intuitively knew something was off and I was like, wow.

48:17Okay. So you can't mind over matter certainly did not work. And it was in my quest. I became very, very hungry and thirsty for just figuring out like what the hell just happened and how do I fix it? Cause I knew I wanted more babies and I didn't want that to happen again. So that's when I found energy medicine, mind, body connection, conscious dance. I started to study with some of the best in the field. I started to become certified in these modalities, but none of the other modalities felt like

48:49they were, they, it just like transcendence just came to me. It's like one of those things when spirit just kind of puts the pieces of the puzzle together. And it was through my own exploration of healing me that the pieces came into place. My next birth was two hours, all natural dream birth. My third baby was 90 minutes, all natural. Now I wasn't going for fast just for the record, but when your body and mind and soul are aligned and you surrender and you trust that your body knows what it's doing and you've taken good

49:20care of yourself. Um, in my experience it, I was in flow energy. When you're in flow, trust, body wisdom, energy, things just like, there is no time and space. Like it just opens. And I wanted to learn how to harness that, not just for birth, cause I wasn't going to have more babies, but for dream building for any kind of result I wanted to create in life. I wanted to learn cause I didn't, you know, I don't have that traditional entrepreneurial background. I dropped out of college to be a professional dancer and I wanted to go from money struggle

49:53to someday maybe owning my own multimillion dollar business. And that meant really installing new operating systems in my mind and in my heart. So conscious dance and transcendence in particular is like that center point. It's where everything meets. So it's kind of like Joe dispenses meditation, but for me, um, because I'm a mover, because I'm a kinesthetic learner. Um, yes, I sit in meditate, but it's a moving meditation is a transcendental meditative practice

50:28with music and movement that just supercharges whatever you're wanting to do, heal your body, manifest next level experiences because we are walking magnets. So for me, it's a tuning place. It's a place like, this is my studio, by the way, this, this space, I manifested this home. It's a big, beautiful studio so that I can do my transcendence. I can lead clients through my transcendence. I lead transcendence facilitator trainings. Um, but it's, it's so powerful.

51:00So that's, that's how I got inspired. That's beautiful. That's so beautiful. And thank you for being inspired to make it. And then to share this, your, your whole message today has been one very resonating, but for me, but also I know it's going to resonate so much with the audience to know that they, to become more aware and self-aware and curious with their thoughts and also be, you know, open to learning new ways of breaking those, those patterns. And then maybe incorporating transcendence or any type of your learnings or your education

51:32that you have to offer into their life. Because if this resonate with any one of you guys, I would highly recommend to check out Jennifer's work. I want to link it in the description below. Um, but this work is, it truly, and I can speak to a hundred percent is so transformative to, uh, really get to the, not only to understand like your higher self, but also to follow with your higher self so that you can live in purpose. Now, I know that we are coming up on time and I'm going to be respectful of your time. There's some things that I want to pin, like getting to environment and then

52:04confidence, I think was a huge thing that I wanted to get through. So you're definitely going to have to come back to it. I'm just saying that right now, but as we do wrap up today and I loved everything that you've shared. Thank you so much for being here and your wisdom and your insights. And again, like your passion for just helping others unlock their own potential and to live authentically is so truly inspiring. And there's, thank you for doing your work. There's more people that need to do this work. And I believe this is the future of where we're going to as well. So as we wrap up, I would love to ask what is like one piece of advice or a key takeaway

52:38that you hope our listeners will carry with them as they work toward embodying their confident, fulfilled selves? Yeah. I think what I wanted to hear, you know, and I just, I feel some emotion rise up and that is that you are perfect and whole just as you are. Not when you lose the 20, 50 or a hundred or whatever number of pounds, like you are capable, you are powerful, you are amazing, you are gifted, you have gifts and talents within you.

53:10And so when you can hear that message and then begin to rise above the part of you that wants to tear yourself down for not being enough or not doing all the things that you think you should be doing and begin to be your own friend and celebrate the times when you do choose something healthier over something unhealthy, that part of you has led you to this podcast. That part of you is the part of you that's leading you to grow, to find solutions like

53:41Transcend Dance, which by the way, I'm going to give you tons of free gifts and free Transcend Dance classes for your whole community. I would love for you to come and dance with us anytime. It's live, it's virtual, it's on Zoom. You can do it in a chair. You can do it in bed. I mean, of course you can do it standing and moving, but it's for all mobility levels. But bottom line is, you know, if we can start right where we are and just feel whole and

54:11feel like we're enough as we are, that part of us is truly what leads us towards healing, transformation, and ultimate wholeness. Like that part of us knows how to help us create homeostasis, happiness, and that is the truth of our being. That is where confidence really lives. Confidence isn't when we hit some dollar amount, weight number, you know, like, I don't know, just the outside measurements of what we think we need to have to feel successful or confident.

54:44Confidence is a cultivated energy that starts loving ourselves right where we are currently now. Yeah. Oh, that's incredible. I love that. Thank you for sharing that. Where can everybody find you? I'm also going to link in the description, but I love having everybody say it because maybe some people will just remember it and go find you that way too. And then do you have free, where can we get the free stuff? Yeah. So, I mean, the overarching Institute is brave with B-R-A-V-E, bravethinkinginstitute.com.

55:17There's actually five divisions. The health and well-being division, of course, is the purple B. You'll see there all of my resources. There's free gifts there. But to get a free transcendence class, you just go to B-T-I. So, like Brave Thinking Institute, the acronym, B-T-I.com forward slash dance. And then if you just type in the coupon code, free class, all lowercase, when you get to the checkout page, it'll zero out the price and you can come transcendence.

55:48So, I teach two Saturdays a month, 10 a.m. Pacific time. There's a couple coming up on the next couple of weeks. So, that coupon will not expire. So, whenever you feel ready to come and move, let's do it. I think it would be great. Amazing. Well, thank you for that. And again, everything will be in the description below, guys. Jennifer, thank you so much for being here. I appreciate your time. My pleasure. It was so great to talk. Thanks again. Yeah. Great. Bye, everyone. Hey, really quick.
