In this episode of The WarriorBabe Show, Nikkiey sits down with WarriorBabe member Amy to share her powerful transformation journey.

Full transcript

00:00I had always been really thin before I had children. And then I just was mom and I didn't pay any attention to me. And at some point I got to 226 pounds and I saw a picture of myself and couldn't believe that was me. At one point I went to a doctor and they were giving me supplements and B12 shots and I was barely eating and I ended up killing my thyroid. What was the moment that you realized that, okay, something needed to change? I think I started feeling like he was going to leave me, that he couldn't possibly love this.

00:33I thought, well, maybe I need therapy because he was like, no, I love you, you know. And I was like, well, we need to go to couples therapy or I need to go to therapy so that I could love me again. What's going on, everybody? Hey, you guys, I have another WarriorBabe here with us and I'm really excited to chat with Amy. Amy's story is pretty unique. She's one that almost gave up, you know, after years of doing extreme dieting and appetite suppressants and starving herself thin.

01:08She only to then rebound, she was convinced that maybe she was just meant to be fat, but she never refused to settle. And I think that's what's really cool about her story. She's going to be here talking about it with us because she's now 30 pounds lighter. She's down 17% body fat and she's stronger and more confident than ever. So just thinking about what I just said and then hearing that transformation, we're going to get into that story. Amy, welcome. Hi. It's so good to talk to you.

01:39Likewise. Okay, so let's chat about where you were physically and mentally before you found WarriorBabe. Like, take us back to that version of you. Well, and like you said, it was a long journey of, you know, just gaining weight and losing weight. And, you know, I had always been really thin before I had children. And then I just was mom and I didn't pay any attention to me. And at some point I got to 226 pounds and I saw a picture of myself and couldn't believe that was me.

02:13You know, I just wasn't paying. I mean, I knew I was heavy. I knew I was tired, but I didn't know I was that big. And, and then it was like, I did it the wrong way. And I lost 60 pounds in one year and I looked really good, but that wasn't sustainable, you know. And then I just kept gaining it back and losing it and gaining it back. And it's just the roller coaster, you know, the, and a lot of that all or nothing that you talk about. Yes.

02:44For sure. And yeah, at one point I went to a doctor and they were giving me supplements and B12 shots and, and I was barely eating and I ended up killing my thyroid. Literally like my thyroid stopped working, which I already had Hashimoto's, but it literally killed my thyroid. And I was bruising. Like if you touched me, I would have a bruise. It was horrible. And then of course that's upsetting. So you just give up again.

03:16Like, well, then forget it. I'm just going to eat what I want and I'm going to be fat. And that's, that's going to be that, you know, which of course a few months into that, you know, that's not okay. You know, you don't feel good in your skin and you feel like your husband doesn't find you attractive, although he's super supportive and never said anything, you know. So. Yeah. Yeah. I hear you. I feel like you live both realms, right. From being thin, which a lot of people struggle to then, you know, have a body that they want.

03:50It's just like usually skinny fat at that point. But then you were on the other spectrum where you were overweight after having the kiddos and taking care of them, putting them first and not paying attention to what you, you know, your health. And then you tried to keep, you tried to get a rope on it. And it was just like misinformed information that was sent your way or the support that you needed wasn't necessarily, necessarily the knowledge and the information that you needed to help you to successfully lose the weight. And it was just this hamster wheel, which, you know, being a warrior babe now, you're not alone in that at all.

04:23Everybody goes on that hamster wheel of losing the same weight over and over and over again. I'm crazy with what doctors will prescribe and put you on in terms of let's fix the root cause, but not let's get let's fix. Let's put a mask on the solution or the symptoms and not fix the root cause, which, you know, it's just like here's the supplement. Here's that supplement. But not like I'm curious with that. Was there any like guidance on, hey, here's a nutrition recommendation or protocol that I would like suggest that you do?

04:57Or was there any like strength training exercise? Like they gave me like a map of what to eat, but it was very limited. They didn't call it keto, but it was very keto. And it was like eat this many proteins, this many vegetables. But it was probably a thousand calories total. Maybe it was like two ounces of chicken and a half a cup of blueberries. Like, you know, it was now I know definitely not enough food. And and of course, I was raised in the whole Weight Watchers fat is bad.

05:30You know that everything I ate was non fat, non fat, you know, didn't eat anything that had fats in it. Now I'm like I have avocado every day. Yes. I love that. Can we talk about your transformation on the note while we're there mentally on the extreme parts, the extreme plans that you tried in the past? Like like the one being appetite suppressants and everything like that, too, as well. Like what did that do for your mindset and for your motivation to at that time and over time?

06:01Well, I mean, obviously, when you're on the appetite suppressants, you feel great as far as you're losing weight. You know, it's like, oh, it's working. I'm losing all this weight. But then you don't physically feel well. You know, like my digestion was messed up. I had dry mouth like you would not believe from these supplements. And she was like, oh, here's these dental longages. I can't say it. Longages. Longages. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I agree. Because you have dry mouth from the medication I'm giving you.

06:34Not, oh, maybe you shouldn't be taking that, you know. And my thyroid doctor at the time just kept telling me, eat less. Your thyroid's fine. You should eat less. You need to eat less. Yeah. Like he, I can't, every time I went to see him, he would tell me I should eat less. And I was like, I'm not eating. I don't understand. Appetite suppressants. Well, I'll say that 10 times fast. We know, right? Not eating at that point. And they know that. And they're telling you to eat less at that point. That's crazy. Which is only, you know, now from what you learned at Warrior Babe, it's like, that's only going

07:06to downregulate your thyroid even more and crash and burn. Now you're going to have to be on thyroid medication for the rest of your life. Gosh, that's crazy. Well, on that note too, when you mentioned that you were just like, at one point you're like, I'm just meant to be fat. Like, what was it like to carry that belief? Yeah. I just gave up. I just gave up. I just, so it wasn't, I mean, I want to say, oh, you know, it was draining, whatever, but it, it, it was a point of, I don't care.

07:38This is me, you know, but then eventually you're like, I care. I can't pretend. I don't care. You know, you can shut it off for a while, but it gets to you. And, you know, then you just start, there's like, I was trying to find pictures of myself. There are no pictures of me, just me through those time periods, because I would not allow people to take, and my husband's a photographer. Like he takes pictures like all the time, like not professionally, but, and I was just like,

08:11don't you dare take a picture of me? You know, there's pictures of me with my kids at events and stuff because, okay, Hey, it's a kid's graduation. I'm going to, you know, take that picture, but there's no pictures of me by myself because I hated the way I looked. And if people posted pictures of me on Facebook, I'd be like, please untag me. I can't, I can't see that picture. You know, what was it like to carry those types of emotions? Like in your day to day, how did that, how did that, those emotions and those feelings, how did that affect, like you mentioned earlier, like your relationship with your

08:42husband, you know, who once said he'd like loved your confidence. Like what, how can you share a little bit about like how that affected day to day for you back then? Yeah. I mean, I, I just would, would try to hide and not be that confident person that I always was that I am again, you know, like, you know, it's, you're confident. It's me. I'm here, you know, where I would just, you would just hide and just not, not want to be seen and feel like he didn't want to see me, you know?

09:16And, oh, I mean, we've been married for over 30 years now and he's my high school sweetheart. Oh, God bless you guys. That's amazing. But it was just like, and he loved me the same always. And I'm just like, I would be like, you can't possibly love this, you know? And, and of course he said he did, but I didn't feel like he could. I didn't love me. How could he love me? You know? Yeah. Oh my gosh. I can't imagine how many women are resonating with that just right there.

09:47It's not necessarily like, sure. It was the relationship that you guys, like you guys have in 30 years is incredible. Like, that's amazing. I admire that so much, but it's more so coming from your feelings and your emotions that maybe feel like the day-to-day relationship is struggling, but it's really because you internally are struggling with yourself at that point. So it's like, you know, that's, that's a, that's an awareness to have. It's more like, even though he says those things and he's supporting you, it's like, it's coming from you because you want to feel better. You want to find your confidence. You want to find the love for yourself, which I'm really excited to get to, because I know

10:22that you're feeling way better now, but I wanted to just highlight, like talk about that beforehand. Cause I know there's going to be so many women that resonate with you. What, what was the moment that you realized that, okay, something needed to, something needed to change. I think I started feeling like he was going to leave me that he couldn't possibly love this. And, and then I was going to, I, I thought, well, maybe I need therapy. Cause he was like, no, you, I love you, you know? And I was like, well, we need to go to couples therapy or I need to go to therapy so that

10:53I could love me again. Sure. But I don't know if you ever tried to find a therapist. It's not as easy as it sounds. Rob, actually I didn't, I'm just, you know, I'm transparent. I'm in the works of doing that right now. Cause I was working with a therapist for the beginning of the year or beginning of this year. And I didn't, it wasn't working out. So I'm like, I'm in the ropes of trying to find it again. So yeah, I feel you on that. People are like, just go get therapy. And I'm like, how do you do that? Just find someone that you jive with. That's important. Yeah.

11:23So who I jived with was this Nikki person that kept popping up on my, on my Facebook and on my YouTube videos because I did work out videos on YouTube. I was, I was working on myself, but it just wasn't working, you know? And I was, I was rollercoastering. I was all or nothing. I would like work out like crazy and then forget it. I'm not going to do it. So I was on YouTube. I was on Facebook and with, you know, the, the algorithms because I was following fitness people and blah, blah, blah.

11:54You kept coming up and I don't know what it was about you, girl. I just, I loved your attitude. I liked the way you said things like how you, you always say, I'm going to say it again in a different way. However you were saying it, I was like, yes, yes. What she said, you know? Oh, I love that. Well, I'm happy that I could have been your therapist in the, in the fitness realm and the health realm. Cause that, I mean, truly, you know, by working with your coach, we joke all the time. We're like, we should just do our signatures as like a life coach or a therapy coach. We're not just fitness coaches. Right. Because we really, it's like, we meet you guys where you're at and we help you in every

12:28facet and, and fitness will just like, you know, transpire in so many aspects of your life, not just in your health. So that's cool that, you know, that kept coming up. Was there anything specifically that was like resonating with you the most that I was saying that was like, okay, I need to like check this out more. No. And that's funny because I kept like, I even asked my husband, I was like, I know she's going to ask me that. And I don't know how to answer that question because it was just your, your overall being

12:59your no BS. I'm just going to say it. And again, it's just the way you said it resonated with me and you're, you're, you know, to be strong and confident. Yes. I want to be strong and confident, you know? Yes. Yes. Quick break. If you're finding this episode helpful so far, it would mean a lot. 13:34Thank you so much for being a part of this journey with me. Did you have any fears about joining the program? Was there any like hesitations? Um, just, just the money, to be honest. Yeah. You know, it's, it's a financial commitment. It is. And, you know, but you have to make that commitment to yourself. Yeah. Did you have to, uh, conversate with the hubby about that? Um, so how that went down. Wait, I love hearing these stories. I told them I was, I was going to checking into it.

14:07I was checking into it. And then I had the call and they, you know, said it's a year commitment, which I totally get why it's a year commitment and how much it costs and everything. And, and I, I signed up and they were like, do you, can you make that decision? I'm like, yes. And then I called my husband and said, I did this. And I was crying and I was like, I just, I have to do this. It's, it has to be done, you know? Oh, and of course he was like, it's how much?

14:38Um, okay. I mean, you did it already. So. Oh, I love that though. It's more so like, you know, you needed this for yourself. He's supporting you. Even, even though it's a pricey, everybody says that it's a very pricey point. But let me ask you now, like, do you, being a part of it and being in the program, what does that price point mean to you now? I mean, it's, it's worth it. How do you put a price on, on your health and your confidence and, you know, just, it's

15:11definitely worth it. You know, it, and it, I know it's like, oh, it's, it's a lot, but it's not a lot. If you think about it, you know, and I've, I've spent a lot of money on that doctor that was giving me supplements and, and, you know, and then I spent, spent a lot of money on, um, neuromuscular stimulation. Cause that was supposed to be, you know, better than, uh, working out where they literally put things on you and basically electric shock you, you know, it's like the 10 units, 10, 10 units that they're supposed to use in like rehab for injuries.

15:45But yeah, but they put it on your whole body. I've actually seen this as a trend on social media and I am bewildered by it, but there's that. They're like, don't do lunges and crunches. Let us electrocute you. It's fine. Ladies, are you feeling frustrated with body changes you're experiencing during menopause? It's time to take control. 16:54That's warrior babe.com forward slash apply. All right, let's get back to the show. That's crazy. It's just as mentally, we say it out loud like that. It's just crazy. I know. I know. I did it. I did it for like six months. Oh. And I have a very high pain tolerance FYI because I set records on how high they could turn that machine up. That's crazy. That's crazy, Amy.

17:24Oh, wow. Okay. So let's talk about like the first couple of weeks of you being in the program and you working with your coach. What, what were some like quick wins that maybe you experienced out of the gate and that you were realizing that, hey, like I can trust this process. Well, I was in the retrain, you know, I was eating more because I had, I had been trying to lose weight leading up to that, of course. So I was not eating and, and, and I was listening to your podcast.

17:55So I was, I was putting protein in my diet and I was trying and I was added avocado and, you know, trying to, to eat more, but I still wasn't eating enough, obviously. And I was working out. But when Sarah gave me my, my macros and was like, we're going to up, you're going to eat a little more. You're going to eat a little more. Okay. Don't hate me. You're going to eat a little more. Like in the first four weeks, it was like, eat more, eat more, eat more. But I was, the scale was going down and I was eating more and I'd eat more in the scale, go down.

18:26And she'd go, we need a little more. You need to, we literally need the scale to stop going down right now. We need to find your maintenance, you know? And yeah. And it's, it just continued on that, that trend. Let me ask you what mentally was going through your mind when you, when Sarah was increasing the food, like, yeah, you were, it was more food, more food. It's all good and dandy. It sounds amazing because you're losing the weight, but like, you know, you were hearing more food.

18:56Was there any like skepticism and like, I'm only going to gain more weight with that? Oh no. Oh no. I was, because I had been listening to your, to your The WarriorBabe Show and like, I was, and I watched the recordings and I just like, literally that first month I work from home. So I would have you on my laptop on the side, just all of your videos were running. And I was like, when I would walk, I'd have it. You were brainwashing me. Oh, I love that.

19:27You came in knowing what you were going to be doing. Yeah. I was, well, I'm, I am an all or nothing. So I was very committed sometimes to a fault, but very committed that I wanted to know everything Nikki had to say. That's hilarious. How are you doing now with that all or nothing mindset? Oh, Sarah has helped me a lot with letting go and being able to have, you know, I just had a wedding in Georgia, um, two weeks ago, two weekends ago, and I was able to go and

19:58enjoy and not feel like, Oh, I can't have that. Or, you know, you have to be able to take a break from it and know it's okay when you come back, the skill spikes, but it goes back down. It's fine. Amazing. How much food did you get up to when you were doing the retrain? Um, you know, I don't really remember in the retrain because it was two years ago, but I'm in a build right now, which is amazing, which is amazing for me to say that I am literally

20:30trying to gain weight right now. You know, looking back at that person that was like, let's just unpack that for a second, because again, people are going to be listening to this. Nobody knows what a build is like. They hear that and they're like, I don't know what that means unless they've been listening to The WarriorBabe Show and the warrior babes like stories, but you basically are eating, you're putting on weight. So like what mentally, how, how is that being processed for you right now? That is such a big mind shift for me, obviously.

21:01I mean, I just always wanted to lose, lose, lose. I can't eat. I can't eat. I need to lose. And I told my coach I wanted to build and she was like skeptical that, are you sure? Because this is what's going to happen. And are you going to be okay with that? Because I weigh myself every day, but I weigh myself every day knowing that it's going to go up and down. That's, that's what we're here for, you know? And I told him, no, I want to be stronger, strong. I don't want to be skinny. I want to be strong.

21:32Anyway, that's, that's my mind shift. And so we're in a build and it's going great. And I'm strong. And the other day I told my husband, I was doing a, um, a clean and press with 55 pounds, which doesn't sound like a lot to some people, but I used to do a military press with an empty bar and struggle. So for me, I'm like, yes, look what I look what I'm doing. You know, of course he puts more weight on, does it next to me.

22:05And I'm like, shut up. But you can't compare ourselves to the men, to the husband. I know. Girl, that's incredible. You should feel proud for yourself, for what you, where you are now and how far you've come and that transformation that you've made. And that's something that I want to chat through now is like, let's talk about those wins. The weight down, the percent down, the strength that you are experiencing. Let's say, what are your, what are some of your top achievements that you've, you've, uh, you've accomplished so far of being worried, babe?

22:35Well, honestly, I want to say my top achievement is, is the strength that, you know, being able to press 55 pounds over my head. Yes. You know, um, of course I went through the cut and, you know, got down, lost all that weight. The body fat percentage, I think is bigger than the pounds. Of course, you know, again, we're trying to build muscle and not be a pencil, you know? That The WarriorBabe Show really brainwashed you and I love it. Yes.

23:05It really set up your, shaped your expectations for being a warrior, babe. I mean, I've always been, I've always been a strong woman, strong and confident. And that's what my husband said, you know, I loved your, your confidence. It's I've always, I've never believed in the guys can do it, girls can't, or the different standards for women, you know, and I'm strong. And if, you know, my husband needs to, to move cement, I'm out there. I'm moving it, you know, like I can do it. I can sometimes to fault, like I would try to do stuff I shouldn't have been doing where

23:38now I'm a little stronger than I can, but I still would just be like, I got it. I got it. You know? Yes. I love that. Yeah. So the percentage down is huge though. You know, we're focusing on building muscle. I'd love that you're in a build right now. What if you had a found worry, babe, where do you think you would have, you would have been right now? You know, I probably would have just still been on that roller coaster of, you know, I was a January baby when the holidays were over. I'd be like, okay, I'm gonna do it again. This is my year, you know? And then by June, shit goes sideways and I'm gaining weight again and forget it.

24:12Forget it. So yeah, I just, it was a roller coaster for years and years and I don't think I would have gotten off of that ride if I not found a true solution. You know, you gotta get stronger. And, and I, you know, I, my fitness pal, I use that when I initially went from, when I lost my 60 pounds initially way back in 2014. Yeah. Tracking food. And that's how I did it, but I didn't eat enough. So then I gained it back, you know? So it's not, I am like, give me knowledge, give me knowledge, which is how I found you.

24:46But there's a lot of misinformation out there for sure. You know? So you gotta be careful who you're listening to. Yeah, I love that you're bringing that up. I think it's, uh, important to highlight. I have a question. Like when you came into, you obviously knew what tracking and macros were when you heard, heard about Warrior Babe, when you came into the program. Now, how do you still track every day? Are you still, like, are you able to just like go, you know, where you hear me say like Warrior Babes to come in, they're like tracking as they go throughout the day, right?

25:18Because they, they haven't learned the pre-planning or pre-logging into MyFitnessPal. Um, and so they'll go the, go the whole day logging their food. And then by the end of the day, they still have like 40 grams of carbs left, like 20 grams of protein left. And I call it like macro hoarding at the end of the day. And you've heard me say like, you know, it's, it's ideal to plan the night before. I would love to hear your, you mentioned you do two years in now in your, with Warrior Babe. Yeah. So obviously you've developed a lot of skill sets along the way to, to make yourself successful

25:51during the week and during the day. So what does that look like for you now in the way that you, uh, pre-plan your food and log your food? Well, I definitely was before Warrior Babe. I was that person that would just kind of track it and think this is what I think I should eat today. And then after dinner, I'd be like, oh, I need to eat something because I didn't eat enough or, or it became dinner time and I didn't have any calories left to eat. You know, it was like, oh, I'm going to have to go over because I have to eat, you know?

26:21And then I, I have a math brain. So I didn't take me long to figure out the macros. I didn't know about macros. It was calories before. So once I got listening to you, then it was like, okay, macros are what's important, you know, and, and changing the fitness pal to show the macros and, you know, the grams of the percentages. And so I did learn that, learn it pretty quickly. Um, I, most days hit zeros because I'm just a mathematical person.

26:53That's like one of them, Amy, the zero board. I used to have a question that did that. Perfectionist where Sarah's like, it doesn't have to be zero. So I'm like, I know, but I can do it. You know, that's incredible. So I sit the night before and I plan what I'm going to eat the next day. Um, I used to do a week, like early on in the program, I would do the whole week, but now I pretty much do tomorrow after dinner, I sit on the couch and say, what do we want to have for dinner tomorrow? Okay. If that's what we're having for dinner, then this is what I'm going to have the rest of

27:26the day. And we also eat the same thing a lot. My husband is very supportive and he's like, I don't care. You know? So, so we eat a lot of the same foods over and over again, which makes it easy to plan if you're just like, well, let's have the same thing we had last Thursday. It takes that mental thought process out of it. You know, people spend so much time thinking about what they're going to eat for dinner over. And it's sometimes good to just have the same, like, you know, top five dinners that you can go to and, and interchange them throughout the weeks.

27:59Um, and maybe you're here spontaneously, I want to do one, but I, I, I love just eating the same thing over and over and over again. You mentioned to a couple of minutes ago about the misinformation out there. I love to pick your brain on. What made worry me feel like it was different from all the other things that you've seen or heard or read about or tried? Well, honestly, you know, you have to get it from multiple sources. Honestly, you know, I was, I, a few different sources were saying kind of the same thing you were saying, but you were saying it in the way that resonated with me. You know, um, you had Abby Sharp on a while ago.

28:31I was watching her. She was saying a lot of the same things, you know, it's like, okay, this is what people are saying. This is not that people are saying the wrong thing. Multiple people say that too. You know, um, I mean, we went through years of, of keto Atkins, you know, there's a lot of misconceptions out there, you know? Yeah. Let's talk about like, what goals are you, you're in your first build right now. So like, what goals are you working towards together, uh, in this build? Well, I had set some lifting goals, some strength goals.

29:04Um, my bench press was probably my weakest that I was like, I tried to add weight too much and I was like, okay, I need to back that up. Yeah. You can't gain that, you know, you can't build it up that much every week, but, um, yeah, definitely strength goals and being stronger. I'm, I try not to set numerical goals, just more of, you know, it's more of, I want to feel good and, and be stronger. Yeah. I love it. Um, how was working with your coach? Like, what does, what does that relationship look like?

29:34Like, and how has the support that she's given you, how has that made a difference? Oh, she, she's fantastic. Yeah. And that's like the biggest thing is having a coach to tell you what to do, what not to do. And like I said, I'm all or nothing. So she's more there to say, Hey, I want you to have a weekend or, you know, in my case, it's more of a slow down, you know, like it's okay. And if I say, Oh, I messed up.

30:06Then she's like, no, your body needed that. You know, it's okay that you didn't do it today. You didn't feel like it today. It's okay. You know? Um, and I did want to say, so last year around this time, a little earlier, um, my coach also lives in Florida and, um, we were both affected by the hurricanes and, uh, she had to be off for a bit, just had to take care of her own life and coach Mo stepped in and it was a seamless, you know, we all love coach Mo and she filled in for Sarah and did a great, you know, great

30:42job. And it was kind of like, Oh, great. I'm going through something right now. And so is my coach. So I don't have a coach. Well, no, that's not true. Coach Mo stepped in and took care of us, you know, so that she could take care of herself. So that's, you know, the warrior babe community. Oh, I love that. I love that. You mentioned that. Yeah. We work together as a team on the backend. We're not going to leave you guys hanging. Right. You know, there's always somebody that's going to step up just like in your, like, you know, the community of the babes that you're working with that are with Sarah.

31:12It's like one way or another, I'm sure it's happened maybe in like your group chat or maybe, you know, on your huddles or whatever that there's always somebody stepping up to help you guys, like, you know, in, in, in whatever anybody could be struggling with or whatever anybody needs offering like help and advice. That is that community for sure. And one way or another. Yeah. Well, and, and I'm not, I'm not the kind of person that like wants to participate in the community calls. I'm just not a people person. You know, that makes me anxious, but it's a great community.

31:44And even if you don't want to be in the calls, you can watch them later. You know, you don't have to, you don't have to be that outgoing person that wants to be part of the call, you know, cause that was honestly, for me was a very like, I can't, I can't do that. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you for sharing that because there's definitely going to people that are like, I just want to be with my coach and I just want to work out and I want to know what I need to do on a daily basis. And like, I love that you guys offer their stuff, but it's not really my jam. And I think, yeah, that's totally, totally understandable.

32:18Make it work for you. And you know, as you were mentioning, it's like, you watch the recordings. You watched it, you know, you don't miss out on it. You like to watch it at a later date. I love that because there's other people that are totally, totally there with you on that. Okay. I have one more question. And that is if there's anybody watching this and hearing your story and they're maybe feeling like they're stuck or they're inconsistent or they're on that hamster wheel losing and gaining and losing and gaining the same weight.

32:50What would you want them to know? Oh, that's a really hard question. I mean, uh, you have to commit for yourself and don't give up. Don't give up on yourself and think that, Oh, it's, this is just how life is. Like I had done. Um, you know, there's people out there, warrior babes there that can support you and, and help you through it. You know, and I always thought, well, I have my husband, he's supportive, but he didn't, he was supportive in whatever I was doing. As soon as I said, screw it, I won't do it anymore.

33:22He was like, okay, you know, let's go get cake, you know, cause he just thought he was being supportive of whatever I wanted. You need somebody who's going to give you a little push, you know, a tough love girl. That's right. Gotta have some tough love. Gotta have some, well, why did we do that? How do we feel about that? Yeah. Yeah. And I love that. Don't give up, you know, like there's somebody out there that's willing to support you and help you along the way. That could be worried for you guys. If you're listening to this and you're resonating with Amy's story, cause I'll say this as we

33:55close it off. It's your story. What I'm hearing is, you know, it's living proof. There's been tons of warrior babes and, or not yet warrior babes. I've gone through, um, the hamster wheel or the starving yourself or avoiding carbs or fats or chasing perfection or have the all or nothing mindset. And I think it's really cool to hear your transformation because you're not just down the weight. You're not just down the body fat percentage, but what I can hear is like, you're free from the frustration or free from the shame. You're free from the doubt that used to like hold you back. And you're really in that you again, being strong and being confident and being, you know,

34:30having this, like, I can rest, but I can also perform. And you're doing it with intention rather than trying to strive to get to this end goal, which I think is really cool from what I'm hearing from your story. So you should be really proud of your journey. It's cool to, to know where you were before and where you are now. How many more years are you with Warby for another year? How many more years have you signed up for? I, it ends in February and I haven't like, I haven't come to terms with that yet.

35:01Yeah. Yeah. That's a very hard. So last year I was like, oh, I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it one year. I'm going to do it one year. And then this, around this time, I was like, I don't know what I'm going to do when I don't have Sarah anymore. Although I was confident and like, I knew stuff, you know, but I just didn't think I was ready to step away. So then I was like, oh, I'll do six more months. Okay. Well, actually I'll do a whole year. And then once we got into the year, we talked about my goals and I was like, well, I would really like to do a build with you.

35:32Like I want, I want to build, which again was a huge mind shift for me to want to, want to build. I'm like, cause I need to have her with me to do that. Now I'm going to build and I'm like, okay, but after the build, I, I got to do a cut again. And then I really got to get to maintenance before I can stop having you hold my hand. Yeah. Maybe February will turn into another, another year. We'll see.

36:03I know. It's really, you know, that coach, it's a great relationship, you know? Right. I mean, it's, it's more so than just like, okay, I have the confidence to do things. It's like the accountability and the support that you get from the coach that helps you along the way. I mean, I'm sure, you know, Cheryl B story, who was with me for five years and we went through multiple builds and cuts until she finally was like, all right, I got this and I can do it. But it's, it's, that's so true. I mean, you got, it's, it's at your comfortability level of where you feel like you've, you graduated

36:33and can, you know, and you can do it yourself. So. Right. I mean, I'm here. I've got the resources. She's definitely given me the resources and I, I have the knowledge and I have, I have all these workout plans that I could just keep doing over and over again, you know, do this eight weeks, then do this eight weeks. But it just, yeah, the, the accountability is, is really, you know. Yeah. Girl, I hear you. I hear you. I hear you. So many worry of you have said that exact same thing. So maybe one year in February, we'll turn into another. We'll see.
