Full transcript

00:00Before you found WarriorBabe, what was your health and fitness situation like then? It was tragic. WarriorBabe gives you an opportunity to accomplish all your goals without having to fit into a certain weirdo program. My weight, it went down. I've lost 14 pounds of fat and I put on a crap ton of muscle. It's an investment in your future. Hey, everyone. So today I've got another WarriorBabe here with us, WarriorBabe B.

00:31And after facing two surgeries, months of immobility and battling depression, B knew something had to change. But instead of turning to what a lot of people would end up doing, another quick fix diet, she committed to learning how to truly heal from the inside out. And with her help from the amazing coach that she has at WarriorBabe and the WarriorBabe community, she's lost body fat. She's revealed her strength. She discovered the power of regulating her nervous system.

01:02And now she's thriving and doing everything she can to live long, vibrant and empowered life. And I have her here to be able to share her story. Welcome, B. Hey, thank you, Nikki. So let the listeners know, let's dive into first. Like, how old are you? Where are you from? And what do you do for work now? Okay. Yeah, sure. I am 63. I joined WarriorBabe when I was 62. I live in a small town on Lake Guntersville, Alabama. And I actually day trade right now for a living. So I trade foreign exchange in future.

01:34So I can sit on my butt for a couple hours a day and do my work and then I can go do WarriorBabe stuff. Very cool. I didn't get that insight before catching up here, but that's super cool. Awesome. Okay, let's dive into where you were before you found WarriorBabe. Like, what was your health and fitness situation like then? It was tragic. I mean, I would say critical red flag. I had had knee surgery in January and that was from an injury I obtained when I was in my 20s. We won't go into that. And then six months later, I had back surgery because when I moved up here to semi-retire, I took up golf.

02:11My golf instructor, young whippersnapper dude guy, decided I needed to swing like Rory McIlroy when I'm a 60-year-old woman. Oh, no. And, you know, physiologically, I don't move like that. So that was the second herniated disc surgery I had in 10 years. But anyway, the bad part was until I could get back to Birmingham, so I'm in a rural location now, until I could get back to Birmingham to my surgeon, I had to go through some different rural medical providers up here to get an MRI on or a referral.

02:41And I couldn't, I was, for people that have had back injuries, they'll get this. I was confined to the couch. The bed didn't work. Standing didn't work for very long. Walking wasn't comfortable. I couldn't ride in the car. So with sitting on the couch, I was there for seven weeks. So it was a mental, it was, it was mental depression for real. But I popped Lortab and because I was depressed, I drank a lot of whiskey and I chased it with ice cream. And so when I came out of all that and after my surgery, I was, I was, for me, I had put on a lot of weight.

03:14And we went to the Solheim Cup. I'm not, I don't know if you're familiar with that. I know you golf, but it's where all the women golfers play, the U.S. golfers play, the European golfers. And I actually ended up getting on television and saw myself on the TV screen when I got home. And I was like, oh my Lord, what's happened to me? Why didn't I know I was talking to a, to a celebrity here, B? No, no, no. Yeah, no. My little stint of fame was just long enough to show that, oh my God, I look like the people that were walking around there that I didn't want to look like.

03:49And I'm like, I don't want to look like that. I don't want to be like that. And there I was looking and being just like that. So anyway, nothing wrong, nothing wrong with that. Just for me, it wasn't my, my thing. And I had studied Nikki, you know, I've heard all your other warrior babes that have gone through this. You know, they looked at keto, they looked at this, they looked at that. And none of it made sense to me. And I even, this little guy named Dr. Greger was all about everything whole food. You know, you don't need a lot of protein. It is whole food. Don't eat anything that's processed. And nothing really made sense.

04:19I thought, well, I'm going to have more protein than that. So I was flipping through Facebook, of course, like where your ads show up. But the thing that got me wasn't you. It was a bunch of these old ladies like me that were popping muscles. And I'm like, oh my gosh, there's, so my thing is if somebody else can do it, I can do it. Amen to that. Yeah. And so I went and did a little forum and I thought, okay, wait a minute, this is high ticket sales. So there's something to this because they wouldn't be doing this with high ticket sales. If it wasn't a for real program. I thought, okay, well, I'll get on the call and see what they have to say.

04:50You're a smart cookie, V. You have a very large, you operate in a little illogical mind. That's a very smart assessment. First of all, let me backtrack a little bit there with the moments of where you found yourself with the couch. Seven weeks. Being depressed. You know, having the whiskey and tasting with the ice cream. Like, first of all, I thank you for sharing that story. Because I'm sure a lot of women have been in that position before where they felt like there was no going up. It felt like you were just stuck and you were going through, you know, a very hard period of your life.

05:22And then to see yourself, which you didn't want to see yourself the way you saw yourself. And you're like, dude, I need a change. And then you found us and Warrior Babe. And just, you know, the women that I love that mentality. If somebody else can do it, I can do it too. So, I want to talk back to like, because I'm sure a lot of women that are listening to this, maybe you're feeling like they're in the same boat. And I'd love to just connect to letting them know they're not alone. What kind of thoughts were going through your mind when you were in that really, really dark place emotionally when you're on the couch for seven weeks straight? I mean, it was horrible. The first time I got to go out in a car, I cried just, you know, down the street because I was actually getting to go out.

05:58But to be confined to a couch, it's really rough. You know, your pastor's coming over. He's praying for you. This Kapelian, he's putting a cross on your head. I thought, Lord, am I dying? I'm just trying to get to my surgery. And people are bringing things. And you feel like, oh, my God. But, yeah, I mean, it's the mentality of feeling hopeless. And I bet a lot of your warrior babes out there, if this does help somebody, you know, the hopeless feeling is where I was. And I was very depressed.

06:29And, again, when you look at all the things that are out there, everybody cites a study here, a study there. And they can bend those studies to make it be whatever they want in order to sell you whatever they want. And that's the problem. I mean, you really have to test out something for yourself. But I was extremely depressed. I mean, it was awful until I had my surgery. Of course, once I had my surgery, the bad thing of that was I'd had a previous surgery. And so the surgeon, he's a really good surgeon. He's down in Birmingham. Anyway, and he said, well, there's a good chance that you're going to have spinal fluid.

07:03You're a nurse. You know that. That's whatever fluid leak thing. And you're going to have to lay flat on your back for three more days. And, yeah, that happened. And I thought, there's no way I can lay here three more days in the hospital. But I did. And I made it out. And so then it was like, where do I go from here? And the rehab part was part of finding you guys. And so that really helped. But, yeah, that mentality of just feeling hopeless. I think a lot of people can find themselves in that spot. They've tried everything in the world. And they just feel hopeless as all get out.

07:34And they don't know who to believe. And one of the things that you like to say, I'm going back and listening to your macro hours, is, you know, believe me now. And, you know, I'll priv it to you later. And I thought, well, all right, then we'll go there and see what happens. Oh, man, I love that you quoted that. Yes. It said, trust us now, believe us later. And I am grateful that you did hearing your story here now. It's like you were in a low, low, low point. A lot of women can find themselves at a low, low point. And a lot of women can just, hey, I'm going to just. It feels so heavy in that moment when you're going through it.

08:05And as you mentioned, being hopeless and depressed. And it's like it almost feels like there's no way out. And then you found you saw a warrior. So it wasn't it was the other women. What what what was resonating with you that they were saying when you saw those videos? And that then you were able to turn it around and it be a part of your recovery journey that you found with us. But what were they saying? Like, were they doing it? It really wasn't. OK, so, you know, it wasn't what they were saying. It was what they were showing. You know, you can say one thing all day long. But when you show the before and afters and you show, you know, older women than me.

08:40Yeah. They were like in shape. I'm like. Community that are like 77 years old. Exactly. Yeah. I mean, I'm like, OK, I got a third of my life left. I'm going to look like that. I'm going to be able to do that. You know, you always talk about, you know, your choices now. Right. Invest now or invest later. You're going to invest now on something that's going to make you healthy or you want to invest later in your medical bills. So one or the other, make your choice. Hey, man. I'm like, all right, well, I'm I'm investing now. I've got the money. Let's do it. Let's make the investment. I mean, it's just like paying health insurance for it's cheaper than the stupid weight loss,

09:12whatever. Anyway. And yeah. So, no, it was it was the pictures of the old lady. I call them old ladies. They're my age. You know, the old farts that are out there looking great. And I'm like, yeah, I want that. Oh, I love that. I love that. That's your mentality. You saw that and you're like, I can have that, too. 10:16That's warriorbabe.com forward slash apply. All right, let's get back to the show. You mentioned a bit ago that you explored the keto and intermittent fasting and even almost vegan eating, too, as well. I saw that you wrote in the bio to come on to this interview with me. What made you question those methods? Keto didn't make sense. It was too much. You know, it's too much fat. I mean, it's just too much fat. There's too much protein. There's too much fat. There wasn't enough carbs. There wasn't enough green vegetables.

10:47I mean, I know you get this because I've kind of been listening to you a lot going back to your The WarriorBabe Show. You know, we were given vegetables to eat, right? And you might not like vegetables, but that was one of our first foods is vegetables. I'm like, well, why don't we have vegetables in here? I'm learning to love vegetables again, Bea. Good for you. They're very healthy. So anyway, yeah. So, you know, that's like one of the first things we're told to eat. I said, why don't we have vegetables? I don't know how people are eating. And they're going in ketosis.

11:17That scared the crap out of me. And I thought, okay, that's not what I want to do. It doesn't make sense. You can quote studies all day long to sell your stuff, but it doesn't, you know, intuitively, you know, that Holy Spirit kind of thing said, no, that's not where it's at. The vegan thing, yeah, I got really close. And it was like, well, I need protein. I know I need protein. I'm built to eat protein. My teeth show you that we were designed to eat meat. And so that just didn't make sense either.

11:50The intermittent fasting, that kind of was okay because it said, you know, if you look at all the stuff, it said, well, it kind of cleanses your system and blah, blah, blah. But when you start working out, you're like, I need, you know, I need some stuff on board. I'm not sure that eating within a window is the right thing for me to do either. But warrior bag gives you an opportunity to accomplish all your goals without having to fit into a certain, what I like to call weirdo program. You know, you're living your life.

12:20And that was a pleasant, you know, surprise was like, oh, I can live my life and still accomplish my goals without having to do some of this crazy crap that people have out there on the internet that they're proving with one study. Yeah. That doesn't make sense. Right. And to the study point too, with intermittent fasting, majority of the studies have only been done on men. Like they haven't been tested on females. And we're so much more complex too. Like intermittent fasting can throw off so many of the hormonal profiles inside of women, but there's not many studies that show that.

12:51It's just what people decided they want to speak on or what they don't want to speak on. But like one thing with intermittent fasting can do too as well, I don't mean to like go down the spiral, but you know how I am about all these things is the thyroid profile for women. We've totally thrown off by intermittent fasting, but people want to do intermittent fasting when they wonder why they have thyroid problems. And a thyroid is like literally the gatekeeper for all of the internal systems and making it all work in our body. It's crazy. Okay. End my spiral there. Anyway, I'm curious. One thing. You're 63. You were 62 when you joined Warrior Babe.

13:22Why would you take advice from a 37 year old woman? What made it like feel like we knew what we were talking about at Warrior Babe? Okay. So here's the deal. I thought, all right, I've tried everything else, right? There's, there's old, like I said, there's old ladies that are getting results. I went on the, the, um, the intake interview and I thought, okay, they match you up with the coach. So accountability was something I thought that would be very helpful. And the whole macro thing I've never tried before. And my thing was, all right, I'll give it a year.

13:53And now I've re-up for another year. So I'll give it a year, but I want to be able to measure it. So one thing you're going to learn about me is if you can't measure it, you don't know if you're making progress. I thought, all right. I picked that up the second I started talking to you. That's how you function. Yeah, we welcome the numbers first. And then you mentioned all the other things. I'm like, okay, this makes sense. But I mean, but really, I mean, people are like, okay, stepping on scales is not measuring it, right? You know that. But even calipers isn't measuring it that great because you're so inconsistent. Taking measurements with a measuring tape, it's not that consistent either.

14:26I mean, you got to measure it. So I thought, I can measure this and I'm going to do what they say, but I'm going to measure it. But I'm going to be consistent about what they say. Because the only way I will know if it's working is if I do exactly what I say. Exactly. Exactly. I mean, you don't know if it works unless you do exactly what they say to do. And so you matched me up with an awesome coach and we can talk about that, how she kind of worked into another, where I kind of went with this. But yeah, so I started doing what y'all said and I got what I call the fancy scale. It's a star fit scale.

14:56It measures, it measures your, I mean, it's not a hundred percent accurate, but it'll show trends, right? So it shows body fat, actually fat mass. It shows muscle mass. It shows all that. So I knew I could get a trend, even though it's not, I'm not going to get dunked in a pool of water every week to figure out what's going on. So it's something I can use that I can step on that will actually give me the real measurements that I'm looking for. Because I know you talk a lot about the scale. The scale's a liar. So you don't want to just use a scale. But this scale actually tracks the things I wanted to track, like muscle mass and body

15:26fat. So, you know, that's, that's kind of what I, I decided to go ahead and jump with Warrior Babe and believe because it's not well. What else do I have? I've tried everything else. And it, you know, if you had all these coaches, you're a high ticket sales. It's been working for years. There's got to be something to this besides this. Here's a bunch of videos, follow what we do. And then hopefully you'll, you know, you'll make it or not. That's not what we're, it wasn't what I was. Yeah. So you mentioned that it seems like you were skeptical at first, right? Cause it's like high ticket sales. Yeah. So you are, you like unpeeled the cover before even like you already knew by just the advertising

16:02and the feel of it, that that's what it was. What, and as you're alluding to some things have changed your mind, is that what changed your mind? Help you take the leap? Like we've been in for eight years. We've been, this, this seems to be working, you know, like you, you have a foundation underneath the view, you see the women getting the results. Is that what made you just finally be like, all right, I trust in this and nothing else has worked. So might as well give it my all that you took that leap. Well, absolutely. I mean, you know, for the people that are listening, look, if they're in a program that's high ticket sales and they've been helping all these women, they've been around for years, there's something

16:32to it. You can't do this at that level and be in, maintain success if you're not getting results for your clients. So that's what I believe in. Oh, wow. I love that you shared that. I think that's a very logical way of looking at it. And nobody has ever, and of all the 50, almost 50 interviews I've done with warrior babes, they, it's never been said or alluded to that way. You know, like there's, there's obviously eight years of success behind the brand. It's working for women. So, you know, I, I totally get the skepticism at first. There's been women be like, yeah, I would wait like a month and then like three months.

17:05Cause I would like felt like this was just another thing that was out there. But clearly like once you get on the inside and you see everything of what it's made and your coach, which we'll definitely talk about Claire in a second. But, you know, and then you're, you're 11 months in and you're going on to, you've bought another year, you know, there's, it's real on the backend. So you started working with Claire, coach Claire. Yep. So coach Claire, sweet. So, you know, when you ask you what kind of coach you want, I said, well, just give me anybody. I don't care. They can yell at me if they want to. I don't really care, but she doesn't do any of that.

17:36You gave me the total antithesis of what I said you could give me, but it worked out. So, you know, God was listening. So Claire got me in retrain, right. And I dropped a bunch of weight and I got down to the weight I'd been at for like a hundred years, but that's the scale weight. Okay. So I was dropping body fat and I wasn't putting muscle on yet. And we, we thought we were in maintenance. So it came around about January or something. And then what I had, what I had done was I had a Fitbit and I switched to an Apple watch. Now, this is what changed everything, honestly.

18:06So Fitbit had been tracking my sleep and I needed something to track my Apple watch sleep. So I started Googling and it came up with Welltree. I don't know if you've ever heard of Welltree. No, I've never heard of Welltree. Oh my gosh, Nikki, you've got to, you've got to look at Welltree. So you can go welltree.com. Now what Welltree does. Okay. Welltree not only, and I think it does it off, it does it off of different things. So I think it does it off of aura rings. It does it off of all kinds of stuff. But Welltree, and it, it, what it'll do is it will pull data from MyFitnessPal, your Apple watch or ring, what have you.

18:39And it brings it all in. Now, Welltree has been used by many universities to do studies. They have 10 million users. I didn't know any of this. So what Welltree does is it tracks your heart rate variability. And HRV is a big deal. It says like NASA astronauts use it, Olympic athletes use it. And I thought, okay, well, if they're worse for them, it's worse for them. Heck yeah. Right? I'm just a real lady. Yeah, very important piece of data. Exactly. And so I started. So we started, we thought we were, we thought we were in maintenance. And then so we went to a cut.

19:10And my HRV. Plummeted? Yes. It crashed. My body said, you are not physiologically, you are physiologically stressed out. Because questions that we answer right on a weekly basis are, how's your stress? And I'm like, I'm not stressed. Right. Right. I'm just a great. No, but my body was stressed. No earthly idea. And I started looking more into it. So Welltree is attached to chat GBT. Nope. So the thing will go out and it'll pull all your data over. And you can ask it, why does my score look like it does?

19:41And it will spit out what you ate the day before, your sleep, your rest. And then it'll recommend a plan. And the plan was for me, you need to start meditating. You need to do breath work. And I'm like, what the heck is that? Well, of course, my coach, Claire, is all about that. All about that. She just breathes that. Yes. And so, I mean, it was perfect. So I thought, okay. She said, all right, let's back out of here. And she was willing to experiment with me. So I'm like a human experiment with this Welltree thing now. And that was back in January, February. So we got back and we started moving toward a different maintenance level, which is more calories than what we thought I needed.

20:20And so we finally gotten there. Now it's taken, you know, it's taken about 10 months. My weight has not, it went down, right? I've lost 14 pounds of fat and I put on a crap ton of muscle. Probably about, I'm up to about four or five pounds of muscle. My body now in this, yeah, in this maintenance thing, it's putting on muscle like crazy. It is loving it. This is music to my ears, Bea. Music to my ears. But the thing, Nikki, is like, well, if I don't get my stress under control, I'm just swimming in cortisol all day long. And if I'm swimming in cortisol all day long, I'm not going to have any gains.

20:53And then your thing's on alcohol. And then the surgeon general comes up and says, oh, we need to put a label on alcohol. And of course, I'm like, why am I drinking this stuff? Because it is, I mean, it's right up there with asbestos. It's right up there with cigarette smokes. It's a class one carcinogen. I thought it's just a liquid poison. I mean, honestly, it's a liquid. It's a poison liquid, but it's just a liquid. Why do I have to drink this? I can drink something else. So the only reason you drink alcohol is for any other issue than it tastes good. And if people tell you that it tastes good, they're really drinking it for something else. Because you can drink all kinds of things that taste good.

21:24Facts. Yeah, it's just a stick. It's not louder for the people in the back. Yeah. Yeah. I do key lime juice and Sprite now. And it is Sprite Zero. And it is awesome. Yeah. Love that. Yeah. So anyway, stress can be measured. And I'm like, okay, we can measure this now. And so let's start measuring this. And we started doing some meditation. The NSDR thing. I'm sure you're familiar with that. We've talked. It's helping. Breath work's coming down. And Claire is a master of that.

21:55And of course, I had some trauma as a child. And she's, you know, now we're dealing into somatic therapy stuff. So we're getting to a point where I'm kind of leveling out. And then I've got a cruise coming up after the cruise. And we're going to try a cut. But that's why I want to stick around for another year. Because I want to do a cut and a bill and a cut and a bill. But right now, I mean, things are kind of happening. But it never would have happened if I hadn't been able to measure stress. So, you know, the measure, measuring anything is the, you can't change it until you can really measure it, I think, and see where you're at.

22:26I'm blown away by your journey. Ladies, are you feeling frustrated with body changes you're experiencing? During menopause? It's time to take control. If you're between 45 and 65 years old and tired of struggling with body fat and muscle loss, Warrior Babe is here for you. At Warrior Babe, we've helped over 18,000 women just like you lose body fat, build toned muscle, and understand their bodies better with personalized plans based on hormone and

Take charge of your health and join our community of strong, empowered women. Visit WarriorBabe.com forward slash apply today to start your transformation. That's WarriorBabe.com forward slash apply. All right, let's get back to the show. Once you started with us, you think about that when you unpack that and look at it at a high

23:34level. 11 months, you haven't done a cut. You tried to, but your body was like, whoa, I'm not ready for that yet. So you're going to go into a cut after you come back. So it'll be most likely around like your second year with us. Right. And in that first year, did you think that a fitness program would lead you to meditation and breath work? Absolutely not. But you know, my theory is, okay, I'm learning some new stuff. I've been at this 150, I'd say 153 weight. I've been on, you know, I've had several driver's license that I've had there now.

24:05I thought, what's a little longer? What does it matter? As long as I'm learning what I need to learn in order to progress in the future. So if I have to sit here another six months and learn this crap, well, not crap, stuff, good stuff. Yeah. And get it straight, you know, so I can make progression in the future. It's worth it. I mean, what's a little longer? It's not that, it's not that much longer. You've been here forever. Why not go a little bit longer and learn what you need to learn in order to make the progress you need to make in the future? Yeah. And just think after two years, you're going to have a lot of tools under your belt that

24:36you didn't have prior that you can really use and navigate because it's been set up for specifically how you needed to go onto your fitness journey and how you could get results that not only physically would give you, but also internally would calm your nervous system down and not be as stressed as you were prior. Man, that's super cool. And along the way in maintenance, you lost 14 pounds. So you were, you lost weight by eating more food, right? Absolutely. Where are your calories at now? Are you guys hanging out in maintenance right now? I'm right at about 2000.

25:07It's for those of you that aren't watching on video and just listening through it, the audio, my jaw just like dropped. Like you're, did you ever imagine that you'd be eating 2000 calories? No. And the hard part is getting all the carbs in. It's like, dang, I got more carbs I gotta eat. What the heck? Oh, what are your favorite carb sources? What do you like to eat in carbs, uh, carb wise? You know, I put a banana in my workout smoothie after I work out and potatoes, you know, the stuff that people don't want to eat potatoes, rice, all the good stuff.

25:38Yeah. That kind of stuff. Yeah. Well, so circling back to like, what were the first signs that your body, like when you were realizing that things were improving, what were the first signs that you were realizing? What were you seeing when things were finally starting to respond? Maybe when like, like, how did it feel after you've been through so much, right? Physically and emotionally. How did you know that your stress was lowering? Like obviously outside of the well tree, like what did it feel like? Actually the well tree is what I needed. Uh, it, you know, for me, psychologically, the feeling wasn't any different.

26:09You know, I'd wake up feeling great one morning, but physiologically, you know, you don't know what your body's doing physiologically. Like well tree will actually show me, it recommends if your heart rate variability is not 30%, don't work out. You need to rest that day. I mean, it'll actually tell you when you need to have a rest day or when you're good to go. And so mentally, you know, psychologically, it wasn't that big of a difference. That's why I was having such a hard time because I felt fine. I mean, I'm like, I don't have any stress, but physiologically my body was, it had a whole nother story.

26:40And until I had something to actually show me what it was doing, uh, I had no clue. So it's now that I'm improving, there is, well, the whole somatic therapy, that's a whole nother issue. But, um, I feel, I guess, lighter. I don't know how to describe it. Things are more enjoyable and I think getting, getting rid of the alcohol. So I haven't had alcohol in 103 days now. I'm using a reframe app for that. I love apps or I love technology. You love your data. I do. I love my data. My daddy, daddy.

27:13Oh, I love that. I'm definitely going to check out this well tree. I'm intrigued by what you're saying and how it's helped you. Um, man, no alcohol. That's crazy. That's huge. A lot of people giving up that. Um, we talked about a lot so far. What would you say have been like your most favorable top of achievements that you've accomplished in the last 11 months? I think the main thing is, is coming to the realization that there's more to this than just, uh, macros and workouts. You know, you guys are preaching. You preach it. Y'all preach it all the time, but people don't believe it. Sleep, hydration, stress, all that stuff.

27:45Metidemic. Reason to the fact that people don't lose the fat. I'm going to say weight. They don't lose the fat. They think they're going to lose because they're not paying attention to the holistic approach. That warrior bag gives you a holistic approach. I mean, you come in here, you're going, I'm going to lose weight. Right. Or I'm going to lose fat. And then you end up learning. If you stick to it and you listen and you plug in, you learn that there's way more to this than just, and that's why I sat at 153 for a hundred years. Uh, 133 with 99 pounds of muscle.

28:17And now I'm at 153 with 104 point something pounds of muscle. It's a whole different story. Wow. More food. So, uh, there's more to, there's more to it than, than, you know, I mean, people, you know why people join in, but if, if they can at least be exposed to, um, the other things there's, there's more to this journey than just the macros. And so, yeah, all in all, I'm getting better sleep, hydrated, all those good things that you guys teach. What's your HRV now? I just told, and by the way, anybody that when she says a number, it's totally like there's age ranges for HRV.

28:51Um, but it's, it's still a very individualized number based off of the stress and lifestyle that one leads. Um, I'm curious, where is your, what's your HRV? It varies day to day. So I measure it every morning. You're supposed to take a morning measurement and that way you can gain what happened yesterday and that kind of thing. But the morning before last was my lowest. My HRV was actually a hundred. My stress on the weltery thing. When you look at weltery, you'll see this, this little liquid score. It was down to 14. Yeah. My parasympathetic was way over my sympathetic. And it used to be my, my HRV used to be like 14, 15.

29:22It was, the base was in the toilet. Well, I was, I'm curious. Remember what your HRV was around when you were drinking alcohol? What that looked like? Well, back when, yeah, back when, yeah, I was on like 14 when I first discovered that, you know, when we came out, I was still drinking alcohol when I was trying to do that cut. Yeah, that wasn't good. I can't imagine. I can't imagine. Yeah. I mean, I wasn't drinking a lot. I'd have like a glass of wine, but I mean, still. It's still a glass can totally impale.

29:52Your heart rate increases, your HRV plummets. I mean, just for having a glass. Nobody, see, that's what the data will tell you. And that's why it's cool that you have a data driven mind. And then you love that because it will really let you in on the, you being objective to, to what you're reading and not being subjective to really like, it can, it's, it's just, that is so important. You know, it's really important. And this conversation is really alluding to that. Cause like, you think about it, like you're really understanding at a core level, how your nervous system has changed.

30:24Uh, and how, like now you're approaching that differently with the way you continue on with your fitness journey. Absolutely. Easy. How would you describe your relationship with your body now compared to what you have? What a question. I think I'm more kind to my body. I consider what it needs more. I don't push through things. I try to do an NS, a non-sleep deep rest meditation from Insight Timer. If people never heard of Insight, Claire turned me on the Insight Timer. Well, three did too. I'm writing all these down. Oh yeah. This is awesome.

30:56Insight Timer. Claire been using Insight Timer for a year and the Well3 chatbot, you know, it's chat GVT and that thing is awesome for your health. But anyway, it said, you know, you might want to try some Insight Timer. And so a non-sleep deep rest is supposed to be almost as good as sleep if you've never done it in NSDR. And so I do a short one after lunch every day. I make myself do it and it rejuvenates my body. I don't, I used to push through everything. I don't push through things now. Take things slower. I was always really fast at everything. So less is more? Less is more for real.

31:27Yeah. So the things that we say at Warrior Babe and the videos you've watched, would you say it's pretty accurate? Absolutely. Yeah. 100%. So is there anything that I didn't ask you today that you would want the listeners to know about your journey with us? I think the main thing is, is you can measure everything that Warrior Babe is telling you. You just not need to go, you know, to find out where you measure. And if you're a babe in the community already, you need to measure your stress because that could be killing your results.

31:57And you don't even know it. Yeah. You mentioned like a cortisol bath. Yeah. Yeah. We're living in a cortisol bath. That can really hinder your progress. And as you know. Yeah, it did. Yeah. It does. Yeah. How does it feel? Like you've got, it sounds like you've got a really good control on your health again. Like, how does that feel? That feels great. I mean, the one thing I think that all this has done for me is hope. And it's built, I'm building a foundation. So when you're building a, and you talk about that a lot in your The WarriorBabe Show things, you build a foundation. And that takes time.

32:28This isn't a microwave program. This is building a foundation. But if I, I wish I'd have found this when I was 35, you know, I'm 62. But my, I got 30 more years plus, hopefully, of some golf. And I plan to play. I know, we have to come down to Alabama and do some golfing with you. Absolutely. You play golf. Come on, girl. Yeah. You know, I'm pretty good, too. I mean, for a girl, I'm pretty good. Good. You can play in the senior scramble. Let's go. I call it the old fart scramble. You'll be my guest.

33:00Oh, we're going to have a good time. But yeah, you got many years ahead of you left, Bea. Many years ahead of you. And I'm just grateful that you found us and that you, you saw that it was possible for you since other women were achieving the results that you wanted to achieve. And what I think is really cool is you went in just trusting us now and believing us later. Like you went in saying, hey, I got to do what they're saying if I want to get the measurable data of the outcome and make it be as true as possible. And it's really cool to see that what you've accomplished in 11 months.

33:32And I mean, now you have a whole nother year to go down, which is even cooler. Because think about everything you've accomplished now. What more you can accomplish in a year? If somebody is on the fence right now thinking about Warrior Bay, what would you tell them? What would you tell somebody that just is like, for example, skeptical? They're seeing these ads. They're seeing everything, right? What would you? Skepticism is totally normal. But knowing the life-changing experience you've had on the inside, what would you tell someone that's maybe on the fence? I would say this. The reason they're probably on the fence is because of the investment. And my theory is, again, like I said before, you can invest now or you're going to invest later.

34:07You know, the choice is yours. You're going to invest with doctor visits. You're going to invest with your cholesterol out of whack. You're going to invest, like you like to say, on a walker. So I would rather invest now while I'm still employed and can do things and learn a skill, like you say, learn a skill set that will last me the rest of my life. Now you might stay in Warrior Bay forever. Stay and learn the skill set. But it's an investment in your future. And so, you know, if you have the means to do it, by all means, do it. I didn't mean to come out that way, but that's kind of cool.

34:39That is pretty cool. I've never heard it that way. I love that. You don't have the means to do it, by all means, do it. I love that. But now I think, you know, that's spot on. I think you're going to invest in it some way or another. You know, might as well invest in a way that's going to be able to help you rather than invest in a way that's going to be like going up an uphill battle. You know, seen it one too many times in nursing and in that world. And I think that you hit it nail on the head, you know, instead of investing in a walker, invest in yourself right now to get the answers that you need.

35:11B, it's been a pleasure. You're such a cool person. What I also noticed is that your energy, your vibe is very calm. So you can tell the work that you've put in for yourself over the last year, knowing and understanding where you came from. And anyway, that's listening, you know, your B's transformation isn't just about changing your body. It's about reclaiming your life. And she learned that stress isn't always loud, that stress is that could be always loud. But when left on check, it can hold you back from becoming the person that you that you're

35:41meant to be. And your story is super powerful. So I hope that a lot of women have taken away some things from you. And if not taking away some of these cool apps, I'm definitely going to go check out. But B, thank you for being here. And thank you for sharing your story. I appreciate your time. Yes, ma'am. Thank you. Hey, really quick before you go, I have one small favor to ask. If this episode brought you value or sparked something in you, take just a moment to hit that review button.
