00:00My kids, they see me being strong. They see me working out all the time and trying. Just being able to have that for my daughter, to be able to be like, put her for success, right? I'm going to teach you how to do this now so you don't have to go through what I went through. What's going on, everybody? So today here, I have WarriorBabe Ashley with us.

00:34And this story that we're going to get into today isn't just about her personal transformation. It's about the fact that she gets to also now, today, inspire others to take control of their health and build strength for their life. And she is a true, like you've been in WarriorBabe for what now? Like five years? Almost five years. Five years is crazy. I'm your Warrior Ambassador. So you're like an OG OG. We even dive into that story too as well. But she's not only transformed her mindset and her physique in such incredible ways, but she's also inspired the community.

01:11She's always in sharing her transformation photos, sharing her hard work, sharing her dedication, and commenting to others that they can do it too as well. Ashley is somebody that's a very unique story because we're going to dive into a specific program she was a part of that we don't offer anymore. But what's cool is with the education she's learned, she's taken it and done it and applied it herself and had such an amazing transformation. And then just think about it. When we're talking today together, the education she learned is also something that is available to you guys if you're interested in our VIP one-on-one coaching.

01:48But anyway, Ashley, welcome. Thanks for being here. Thank you. Yeah, thanks for having me. Yeah. So just let everybody know a little bit of background in terms of where are you from, what do you do for work, and how old are you? Ooh. So I am almost 40 years old. I'll be 40 in May. And I currently live in Virginia. I'm from New Jersey. And I am married with three kids. I have an eight, seven, and five-year-old.

02:18And for work, I do hospitality recruiting and education, and then a bunch of freelance marketing and graphic design work. Awesome. Yeah. So let's get into what was life like before joining Warrior Babe? So I had just had my third baby. And I gave myself like four months, and it was like January, and I said, okay, I'm done having babies.

02:49Let's get my body back. So I played college soccer. I was an athlete my whole life. And then kind of after college, you're like, what do I do now? You have no program to follow. You have nothing to strive for, no games, no nothing. So that was kind of a lost space for me. And then I started doing all these lovely 28-day fixes. So I would do like abs. I would do glutes. I would – they clearly didn't work, and it was like constant, constant, constant.

03:20But I lost the baby weight that I needed to lose. But that really wasn't like the look that I was going for, right? So I was trying to be toned. I was trying to be strong. And then I was – started Googling, like, you know, how to gain muscle, how to do that. And a Warrior Wave video popped up, and I was like, I'm going to teach you how to eat fucking carbs. And I'm like, yes! I want to eat carbs! Because at that point, I'm eating, like, lettuce and broccoli and grilled chicken, like, super plain, super, you know, what people expect to eat plain and get results.

03:59And so I was like, yes, give me back my food and everything. So then I dove right into the blueprint that was available at that time and kind of took it from there. And I said, okay, I'm going to unfollow every single person because there's a lot of people in the fitness space. I'm going to unfollow everybody. I'm focusing on Nikki. I will do what Nikki says. Here's the game plan. I'm going to do it. I'm going to give it a year. I'll see what happens, and then I'll take it from there. So I just, like, completely cut strings with everybody and dove, like, straight into Warrior Wave.

04:32Heck yeah. I love that. And I can't wait to, like, expand upon what you did inside the blueprint and the results that you got. And you're still maintaining to this day. I mean, look at, if you guys are watching on video right now, like, can you give them a flex, Ashley? Because your shoulders are, yes. Your shoulders are just popping right now. Let me bring us back to that comment that you made in terms of the things that you were trying weren't necessarily getting to where you wanted to be. So what, like, what were you eating on a daily basis and how were you training on a daily basis back then?

05:07Um, so I was doing a lot of cardio. I was, like, walking, running, doing anything I could to lose weight. Um, lifting kind of here and there, but nothing, like, probably just body weight kind of stuff. And then I was eating lettuce and chicken and super boring, like, you know, all this stuff. They're like, if I eat this, I'm going to be super skinny and super toned. And I have learned that doesn't happen, but...

05:38Were you doing macros or calories at that point? No. Or were you just, like, trying to eat healthy? Try and eat healthy. And your healthy consisted of chicken. Lettuce. Probably little small things throughout the day, but didn't surmount to it. Because I'm, which we're going to get to, the amount of food that you were, you've been able to eat. And all, what's really cool about it, actually, she's done the cut. She's done the maintenance. She's done the build. She's then reversed. She's done it all again. She's done a multiple. How many times have you done that? Uh, twice. I went through the build, cut, maintenance phase. Nice. Cool. We're definitely going to dive into that.

06:08But, um, so before Warrior Baby, you had no idea really what macros were. No. No. And you were doing minimal strength training and just tons of cardio. Yep. When you were in that point, like, because I can resonate with so hard with you, with that, the whole, your whole story is very similar to my story, right? Like, post-college, post-sports, had no coach to keep accountable, no team to cheer you on, being stuck in the in-between, trying all these different things. Because in that moment, in terms of, like, you knew you had this vision for yourself of wanting to be where you are today with being muscular and toned and looking so great and maintaining it.

06:47What, like, what emotions did you, do you feel like you struggled with when you were, like, in that in-between? You were like, oh, I'm going to go try this. I'm going to go try that. This is telling me that it's going to get me this result. I'm going to do tons of cardio. Like, how did you feel when, like, you were putting in all of that work, but you weren't getting to where you envisioned yourself that you wanted to be? So I think that was a really hard spot because in the middle of all this, you have that huge mom guilt on you, right? So you have, I want to work out.

07:18I want to be the best I can be. But yet I have these three little kids, and that was my biggest pull, I think, is because, like, so we have a gym in my basement. But do I take time out of my day playing with my kids to go down and, like, work out for an hour and be like, oh, sorry, kids. Like, I got to be back. I'll be back in an hour. Like, that whole thing. And just that it wasn't working, right?

07:49So I'm putting all this time in. I'm taking time away from my kids, and they're seeing me, like, not eat, which is a whole other thing. They're not seeing me not eat. They're seeing me, like, bust my butt on cardio. And, yeah, I got skinnier, but it wasn't the look that I was going for. And it was just frustrating because I'm like, there's got to be something that helps you, like, a plan. Something for, like, athletic-type people, ex-college athletes that can keep this up but can still have a family and have a job and, you know, keep that life going as well.

08:23Yeah, amen to that. I know there's a lot of people that struggle with, especially with families and kids, as you're mentioning. I just talked to another worry about an hour ago, and she was like, it's in the world of chaos and overwhelm and day-to-day. And the things that we are responsible for, like, you're mentioning, like, family and work and things that have to get done. It's hard to put yourself first. Right. And then also trying to figure out what is the right thing to do. It's overwhelming AF. Yeah. Go ahead.

08:54It is. And it's a lot of, like, my favorite word is pivot, right? So I have this whole plan. I plan out my weeks. I plan out my days. Like, this is when I'm going to go to the gym. This is what I'm going to do. And then five minutes into Monday, the nurse calls and is like, oh, your kids, they come pick up. And I'm like, everything just blows up, right? Like, it's just a constant pivot of everything. How did you do that? How did you successfully do that? Because there's so many of the moms listening to this right now that, like, it's like, damn, that's me.

09:26And I can't put myself first. I got to put my kids first. Monday phone call happens at 9 a.m. And now the rest of the day is ruined. Yeah. What was your, what's your, like, tip and strategy that you would tell that mom right now? So I have no problems waking up early. I can't stay up late, but I have no problems waking up early. So for the first, like, I would say year, year and a half, I would get up at 4.30, work, eat, work out, and then be, have the entire day to do what I have to do and be with my kids.

09:59So still to this day, if we have sports all day Saturday, all day Sunday, I will get up early, I will get everything done, and then be there with my kids. And so it's, it's, it's, it's struggle. Some days, some days you can't, right? Some days you can't, and you just have to be able to know, like, it's okay to not get your workout in today. Like, there's some days you just can't do it. But then that's a whole other struggle that you're like, okay, I have to stay on this path, and then I lose it in. You're like, well, I guess I'll just give up now.

10:29Like, that's a whole other, like, that determination and just keeping up with the progress. You're not going to lose the whole thing by not working out for one day. It's also, like, tapping into, like, recognizing that's an all-or-nothing mentality. Yes, yes. It's like, you know, if you have a day where you're not going to get a workout in, okay, if you're working out five days a week, you have two other days that you can navigate changing up your schedule to fit it in. Right, yeah. And it's all give and take, right? It's this constant, like, that's why I used to print out all these, like, every day I had to print out of, like, everything I'm doing every hour.

11:01And I'm like, okay, if this, and I scratch that, okay, put it here, and, like, constant juggling. I love that, though. But it's how I got done. That's how it works. And I love the give and take mentality in terms of, like, okay, I'm going to give myself the morning hours, and I'm going to take, you know, maybe if someone, I'm not saying this is you, but someone that maybe, like, lays on the couch at night and scrolls or watches Netflix or something like that. Like, they take away from that to put themselves a priority at the beginning of the day.

11:31And what would be another example that you would say give and take, like, yeah. So I think a lot, a lot of it is my family, right? So my kids are number one. And so I, we have made a progress in getting them in the gym, working out with us. And now they're in this environment of, like, oh, we work out. Oh, mommy's going to work out. I'm going to go with you. Like, it's including them and making it part of our lifestyle that I think is, it helps so much.

12:09Because they're not like, what are you doing now? Why are you doing that? They know. They know. My five-year-old says, oh, what protein are you eating today? Like, they're in it. And it is super helpful for them to be in that mindset. But also it's just like our, it's how we get through it. We just make them part of it. It somehow made it easier to navigate that. I love that. And earlier you mentioned that your kids used to watch you eat little to nothing.

12:39And you're like, that's a whole nother thing that we could kind of unpack. What do you mean by that? So I, like in high school, like if I knew what I know now in college, like, or even high school, I would have had such a different experience with food, with working out with everything. And just being able to have that for my daughter, to be able to be like, put her for success, right?

13:10I'm going to teach you how to do this now so you don't have to go through what I went through for all those years. And so them seeing me eat salad and like not eating compared to today when I'm like, alright, eggs and bacon, and who wants it, handing out everything, like packing my son's lunch with egg whites in it, like my daughter's asking for meat sticks, like it's, them seeing food as fuel has just made all the difference.

13:41And they're like, oh, mommy eats more than dad. My husband is very jacked, very large, like being jacked guy. And so combined with us, you know, they have a very good environment, but they're like, oh, mommy eats more than you do. So just seeing that interaction, I feel like we have a family, very good relationship with food. And like, this is what we do. And my boys wrestle. Well, and so food is like very important to wrestling. And sometimes they cut weight and they are very fortunate that I know how to do that, right?

14:17For the education that I have learned, I am now passing that on to my children. And I'm like, alright guys, we're not gonna have fruit snacks today. And it's not big things, but little changes in their tiny little bodies over a few days, that makes all the difference. And so them being like, okay, I'm gonna eat this. Okay, I'm gonna chug water today. And then tomorrow, we're gonna eat chicken and we're gonna have egg whites and stuff. They know what it takes. Do not complain. They do not say, oh, I don't want to do that.

14:49Like, their strength in that is crazy. That they are that mentally tough already. And I think that's their environment, right? That's the environment that my husband and I have laid out, that you can do hard things. And that's kind of like the greatest part about like learning everything. Getting the education behind it is passing it on to them. Amen to that. That's part of our worry-be-cree. Ladies, are you feeling frustrated with body changes you're experiencing during menopause?

And I thank you for taking the education and the knowledge that you have gained and passing it on to.

16:26You're passing on for generations. You're the start of it. You're the first. And now it's going to your daughter. It's going to your son. Like they are going to carry that because they're learning it. It's being embedded in their subconscious brain at their age. Absolutely. Yeah. Which is freaking amazing. Yeah. You mentioned obviously having a jacked household. I got to bring up the question about how much does it cost you guys for your groceries? Because I know somebody's going to be like, yo, that's got to be so expensive. Eating healthy is so expensive. Like it just like popped in my brain.

16:56I'm like, all right, here we go. Ashley lives in a very fit household. Her husband is also jacked. Y'all are eating a ton of food. What does that bill look like? Like, well, so also on top of that, I am in this phase of like, we don't eat white eggs. We don't eat bad meat. Like we are like top quality. My husband's like, we don't need to have like pasture raised eggs. I'm like, but yes, we do. Yeah. We're going to unpack that story to you guys. So you're going to dive into what Ashley's been up to in the last year.

17:28But yeah. Yeah. So we, we, um, yeah, we, we go hard. We, we probably go with all, everybody. We probably push in 60 eggs a week. On. Wait, what happened with the swine flu or whatever the heck that was? Did you guys have. Oh no, that was in Virginia. That was in Virginia. That was, it wasn't there? It didn't happen there? Bro, I went two, three weeks without eggs. You know how bad it was? And you're like, what is my egg? I was like, this is terrible.

17:59Anyways, side note. My neighbor has chickens. And so I go over with like this empty carton. I'm like, please. Damn. I didn't move to Virginia. Yeah. We're back up here. All right. So what's that bill look like? So you're pushing 60 eggs a week? Yeah. With everybody. I would say easy. 60 eggs a week. And then the meat is up to your. So how much is it? What? How much is it? How much do you guys pay for your grocery bills?

18:30I would say. We're pushing easy like 500 a week. Okay. Let's break that down really quick for all the listeners here right now. Because regardless. And you have five people. Yeah. Okay. Five heads to feed. Yeah. So 500 divided by seven days a week. That's $71 a day. Divided by, let's say like. How many of them? I mean, they don't eat that much. I would say like. Between the three of us. I would say. Give the kids like one. One meal? Or like.

19:01Wait, what do you mean? Oh. Um. Yeah. I guess. I mean. Yeah. I guess three meals. Still regardless. Yeah. Yeah. We'll do. Divided by three. Yeah. So that's $23. A day. Poor person. And you're paying top tier. Like for all the groceries that you have. Yeah. And you are eating tons of food. Your husband's eating tons of food. You got the three little kiddos. $23 a day. That's what somebody spends. Star Wars. In your meal. Yeah. Out.

19:31Yeah. So. Yeah. Which is insane. Yeah. Right. And when you break it down. And that's what. That's. It's worth it. Right. You can get high quality stuff. Yeah. And you taste the difference. Yeah. Like going to a restaurant now. I'm like. It's good. I'd rather just stay at home. Cook my own food. All right. So let's bring it to you finding Warrior Babe. You mentioned that you're like carbs. Yeah. You heard me say that. What. What. Was that initially what drew you to the program?

20:02Was that carbs and eating more food? Yes. Yes. So. Give me more food. Yes. Getting more food. And you got more food. Like. So let's talk about. Share like your first. Your experience in the first few months with Warrior Babe. So I jumped. I started in July. And I jumped straight into a build. And it was a full year build. Why? So. I think you said like. Eight to twelve months was like. For a build. To be like a complete build. That would be like your time frame.

20:32And I was like. You know what. Let me just dive in. I was going for a year anyway. Let me just go straight into a build. See what happens. And I think the more I learned about it. I just kept going. Well why did you choose a build? A lot of people go and like. They're like. I want to cut. I want to lose weight. Like. Why did you go for build? So I had those previous like six months. I had. Cut down so much. That I was just doing the cardio. I was not weight lifting. And I had lost the baby weight. That I needed to lose. And I was like. No. I just want more muscle. Like. How do I get more muscle?

21:03And reading into all of the descriptions. I was like. Clearly I need to build. And that's. Adding more weight to you. Adding. Fat. Adding stuff. And I was like. How did that make it cool? Trust the process. Trust the process. It was. It's a total. It's hard. And right. Even through summer. Because you're like. I want to get toned. I want to get big. And then you are fluffy. The whole first summer. It's. Not fun to go through. But. Yeah. It's part of the process. Right.

21:33That's. That's what you said to do. So I'm. I'm listening to Nikki. I'm following everybody. I went full force. And trust the process. Dude. What. I've talked to. Now. I've probably done. Seven or eight interviews. In the last couple of weeks. And. The ones that I've had. The reason why. The audience interviews. Have the great. Like awesome success. And that's the main thing. That they keep saying. That's the trend. That they keep saying. Is like. I was just all in. Like. I just gave it. I was 100% determined. I knew what the sales call. I was going to buy into the program.

22:04And like. I'm like. That is. Why. The mindset. That you have to have. Going into this program. Like. And it's hard. Because. So. So. So. You build. You gain all this fat. And then. I think. The most problem. Is when you start cutting. So. There's a whole program. Right. You build. Then you cut. Then you maintain. And. The cut. I feel like. Everybody's like. Oh. I'm getting too big. I'm getting too big. And they start like. Scaling down. And then. They make it to the cut. And then. It doesn't immediately. Give you this body. And they're like. I'm out.

22:34This doesn't work. And so. I feel like. Just that like. Year of diving in. Like. I'm going to follow this thing. And it will. If it doesn't work. It doesn't work. If it does. I'm going to have. The best body ever. And so. Being fluffy. And then. Giving it like. Four months. To really kick in. And it. Works. Clearly it works. And. It's just getting over those humps. And. Like. Keep going. That's the hardest part. Amen to that. That is the hardest part. It's all about the mental. And what you're telling yourself. Yeah. Like staying. Yeah. All closed.

23:05And on the vision. That you want to have. Which is not there. In front of you. At the moment. Yeah. How much food. Did you get to eat. In that build? So. I got. To. 500 grams. Of. Of. Carbs. Which. Is. I know. I've heard this story before. But it just kills me. Every time. It's just great. It was. It's like. What. 10 bagels. A day. Literally. I didn't eat 10 bagels. But like. 10 bagels. A day. In carbs. And I was like. Bring on the food.

23:36Give. I'm like. I wasn't. I wasn't super fluffy. Yeah. I wasn't. I was just. Processing. My body clearly needed it. Yeah. What was the calorie range. That you got up to? Yeah. Your body was like. Thank you. It was. Eating me the food. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It was over. 3000. That's insane. Yeah. You were like. What? 35. 34. 35. When you joined the program? I was like. 34. I think. When I joined it. Yeah. And then. Talk to us about the training. Because. I think that played a huge role too.

24:06As well. I mean. You were. You're very much like. I mean. I don't want to say it. You say it. I know how you train. Yeah. I mean. I mean. That was the. One of the biggest things. With Warrior Babe. Is that. I. You gave us. What I needed. You laid it out. This is what you're going to do. The first week. This is what you're going to do. And. And. Just to focus on it. Like. Focus on going slow. Or focus on the pause. Or focus on adding more weight. Or. Any of those little tips. And it was. 5 a.m.

24:36And I'm trying to lift. All this heavy weight. And. So. At some point. You're like. I'm not doing. I'm not going hard enough. And I'm in my house. So there's nobody looking at me. There's nobody clapping for me. It's 5 a.m. It's silent. And I'm trying to. Put my weights down quietly. So the. Babies aren't starting screaming. Yeah. And. And. I'm just like. And I. I truly think it's. More the consistency. Of what I was doing. Than actually lifting. I wasn't lifting that heavy. I still don't lift that heavy. I. Both of us. Have messed up knees. Right. I have ACL tears.

25:07All over the place. And I went to the doctor. At 34. 33. 34. I think it was 34. And he said. Do not lift heavy ever again. And do not run ever again. Your knees are like. Bone on bone. Don't do it ever again. And. So I was like. I won't run. Because who wants to run. I won't run. But. I will like. Try to lift heavy. Yeah. And. And so I wasn't. Going crazy. I wasn't. PRing. And doing deadlifts. And like. Trying to.

25:37I feel like it was just. The consistency. Of me doing it. Every day. That really made. Such a big impact. On my body. Absolutely. 100%. I think that you. Have such a solid mentality. In terms of. Accepting that. Going into a build. First and foremost. And accepting. Okay. Like this is going to be. Uncomfortable. But like. This is what's. Told of me. Which I love that mindset. I'm just going to do it. You're a great student. You were. An impeccable student. And you just followed the plan. No questions asked. I mean.

26:07We were back in the blueprint. You were. We were able to talk. Like once a week. On the community. Or on the. Q&A calls. And you just. You were. You ask questions. And you're like. Okay. Cool. And then you just like. Go implement. Like that's. An amazing student. Quickly take us. And so like. Yeah. So your consistency. And just the effort. That you put in. And I think that's. You. You knew the goal. You were going for. And you weren't necessarily. Looking for the results. To happen. In a week. Or in two weeks. You were committed. To the long game. Which is exactly.

26:38What it is. And what's so cool. Is that the ability. That you've been able. To maintain these results. For this long. Hey. Hey. Just want to drop. A huge appreciation. To you guys. Listening to the show. It means a lot. I hope you guys. Are enjoying it. And there's so much more. To come with it. If you are enjoying it. Hit the subscribe button. I'd appreciate that. Tons. And also. It would help this podcast. Reach others. Who need to hear. These messages too. Thanks so much guys. Let's get back to the show. So quickly. Take us through. Because I want to talk about.

27:08This last year too. As well. But to quickly. Take us through. Like the build. The maintenance. Like the cut. And then. Your second go at it. What. How. When you came into the cut. What were your results. And when. What. What made you decide. To come out of it. And go into. Another. You know. Maintenance and build. Um. So the. Build. The first build. I think I gained. I only gained. Like 10 pounds. Maybe. 8 to 10 pounds. After all. Of a year. Of like all that. Um. And then I cut. For like four months.

27:39And I was like. This is great. This is working. This is what I want. But now I want more. Right. Now I know that my body can do it. I know I can do it mentally. I know what's coming. And so I was like. Let's do this again. So I. Dump. And it was like. Right. Like the timing. Now I'm like. Okay. Well let's maybe end. Like before summer. Instead of like. The eh app. At the end of summer. When I'm like. Just fluffy everywhere. And like. Escape that whole thing. So. I. I did another whole year. And then. Cut again.

28:10And then it ended like. In near the summertime. Before the summertime. Um. And then I'm like. Okay. Now I need. Maintenance. To really kick in. And figure out. How to keep this. And I think. Like one of your podcasts. We talked about. Like. How do I keep this cut. Look. In maintenance. And I. Have not been able to do it. And it's so. I feel like I. Finally have a grasp on it now. But it's. Mentally so hard. Because this is what I want to look like. I'm now.

28:40Fluffy. And over here. And then I cut. And I look awesome. But then I go into maintenance. And I don't look like that anymore. So I'm like. How. Am I supposed to keep this look. That I want to look. But yet. Eat all the food. And keep doing everything. That I'm. So to do. Yeah. So it's like. Such a. Mind. Blowing experience. Like. Trying to keep everything. Just. I don't know. It's just hard to go through it. And. But. Like. The community is so huge. That I feel like. Everybody's gone through it. It's like.

29:10You're gonna do it. You're. Just keep going. Like two more. Give it two more months. Like keep. And it's just like a. A nice community. That everybody's going through the same thing. And. They're so supportive. And I think that's such a. Such a huge impact. Through all the cuts. And the builds. And everything that we. Have gone through. Yeah. It's. It's a pretty cool. Badass community. That we definitely do have. I think it's super dope. For everyone to be able to come. To one area. And share their experiences. And feel supportive. And also like. Not many people know.

29:41What a cut. A maintenance and a build is. Or. Even people call it a bulk. And I. Chose build. Because bulk is scary. For women. So. It's nice to have. A safe space. Where people can share their journey. Yeah. At what point. When you did the build cut. And you went back into doing. The. The maintenance. And the build again. And then you came. Did you end up coming back down. Into a cut. After that. Yeah. What point. Did you start seeing the. Like. Because you went from like. Skinny fat. No tone.

30:11Like. To arms. To like. Having the arms you have now. Like. At what point was that? So. I think. After my first build. I was. I could see. The muscle. Like. Starting. And I think at that point. I was like. All right. We. This is working. And if I. Worked. Yeah. Weird. When you eat. Your body grows. And so. I feel like. That has just. Kept going. And I was like. I need this again. Let's do this again. And. And now. I feel like.

30:41I'm at a position. Where I can. Keep it. And hold it. And. Still. Look. Slightly cut. But not. And eating a ton. And. Like. It's just. It's just. Trial and error. And like. The whole juggling thing. Of trying to. To keep it. And. You know. Still not be in a cut. Yeah. But look the way you want to look. Yeah. It takes. Honestly though. I mean. The work that you've put in. Over the last five years. It takes that time. Like. That's what. Yeah. A lot of people want.

31:11I mean. You have such a great mentality. Towards it. It's. A lot of people that come in. Wanting to have. The quick results. Or. In 90 days. Or. X, Y, and Z. In one year. It's like. In order to sustain. What you have. Actually. Like. You had to put in that work. And that effort. To be able to be where you're at now. To be like. Okay. I don't have to. I know you mentioned. When we were talking earlier. You don't have to really track anymore. Like. It's become. Probably somewhat intuitive. When you look at food. Which is super cool. And I want to dive into that story. But. Before we dive into that. What.

31:42Because like. I can resonate with you. You being five years in. Me being like. Nine. Ten years in. It's like. We just keep going. Like. It's just like a part of our identity now. What motivates you. Every single day. To keep going. Um. I would say. My kids. That. The biggest. Like. They see me. Being strong. They see me. Working out all the time. And trying. And. Wow.

32:12It's. I just want to give them. The same. Like. Upbringing. To like. See. Hard work. And. And they're doing it. Like. The fact. That. They are. Like. Very few people on their wrestling team. Can cut. They're eight and seven years old. They're not cutting you. It's not like I'm making my kids starve. But like. The fact that mentally. They can do it. Like. My husband and I say all the time. Like. That part.

32:42I don't. I don't care. What you do on the mat. I don't care if you lose every single match. You. Cut weight. You made the weight. You told your team. You were going to be. Fifty three pounds. And you were fifty three pounds. I don't care what you do. You already won. Like. That's like going through a build. That's going through a cut. That's like your. End goal. I'm. I told someone I was going to do this. And I'm going to do it. And that's like the mentally tough. That I'm like. They got it. They have it.

33:12At eight and seven years old. I'm like. Let's go boys. Let's see what we can do. Oh. Eight and seven. Man. That's huge. In terms of them having the. Like you. You should be so proud of yourself. For gaining all of that information. And knowledge. And then passing it on to them. And now. Again. They're going to be carrying it on. For the rest of their lives. And that's because of you. And your husband. You guys starting that. It's so cool. And we. So when I first started. My. Oldest. Was in preschool. Half day. And so I. And they live. They. They live. They go to school. Like a half hour from us.

33:42So I would. Drive. One to school. Drop him off. And then the other two. Was nap time. So I would do this. Like huge loop. Around the area. And drive for two hours. While they slept. And the other one. Was in school. And all I did. Was listen to all the modules. Like the entire time. And so I think this. Like ingrained in there. As they're sleeping. It's like Nikki Stott. Talking in there. You reprogrammed your mind. Like. One thousand percent.

34:13That's so cool. I didn't know that. A little bit. Yeah. That's all I listened to. So they were like. For like a solid two years. That's like the only thing that we had. Oh wow. That's so cool. So take us up to. What's been up with you for the last year. And where you been at. So I feel. Like 2024. Is kind of my reset. Yeah. I. Kind of took a step back. From that. I wasn't like. Five days a week. Let's go. I kind of was like. Three or four days a week.

34:44I'm going to lift. And see. What I can. Not that I was lazy. But I just wanted to see what my body could do. Without going so hard. And. Then I was like. Having gut issues. And skin issues. And it. Kind of just like. All culminated. And I'm like. I got to figure this out. So I feel like that's why. The lifting kind of took a back seat. And I. Went to like. Functional medicine doctors. And like. Clean it out. And figure out what's going on. And. They. This doctor. Went on my chart.

35:15And said. I did all the blood work. And all that thing. And it said. I could not. Process. Protein. I'm eating. 200 grams of protein a day. And I could. Not process protein. Wow. So I would eat. And. I would look six months pregnant. Every time. And I'm like. Something is going on. Clearly I'm not pregnant. But like. Something is going on. That. Is making me do this. So I like. Would cut out all. Like. Gluten. And then. I was like. Maybe it's all the pesticides.

35:45That they're spraying in all of our fruits. And then I'm cutting out that. I'm washing everything. I'm like. Super diving into everything. That we're eating. And making sure everything's clean. And. Until I like. Reset. I'm taking like. Super enzymes. Like. In. A month. Total 180. No way. My skin's completely clear. My body's not bloated at all. Like. Crazy. And so now I'm like. And especially. Turning 40 in May.

36:16Heading into menopause. Like. That's really. What I'm so grateful for. Is that I have this education. That. I'm like. I'm going to set myself up. So when I hit this. That all of my friends are now in. I'm going to hit this. I know what to do. And we'll. Erase years. Of trying to figure it all out. Well that gave me the chill. Yeah. You are in the prime seat. Of navigating that. That part of your life. Yeah. And that's why I'm so grateful. That I found it when I did. Because one.

36:46It took me out of this like. Mommy. Pregnancy slump. Brought me to like. My time. And then set me up. So now I'm. Successfully. Going through my 40s. And leading on. And. When my body goes into all these hormonal changes. I don't know what to do. And. Yeah. It's just like the education behind it. Is so powerful. Yeah. That's awesome. And then. And you're probably not going to go and hit. Because you're so. Healthy now. And you're so. Active.

37:17And you. You're structured. Your. Composition. Your muscle mass. Like you probably won't. You'll go into late menopause. Like in your. Yeah. Mid 50s. Probably. Yeah. And I see all these videos. Like. The one thing. That people in their 70s and 80s. Need to do. Is like lift. And I'm like. If I could just keep this. Yeah. I'll be good to that. That's why. What keeps me motivated. Because I don't have kids yet. That. That for sure. Will be my motivation. When I do. Yeah. Yeah. But. I don't want to. Look back. When I'm 80 years old. I don't. First of all. I don't want to get big. And fat. And like. Lose everything. That I just like. I feel that being.

37:47A total. Identity. Like. Christmas. Can you imagine. Like. I can't even imagine. And like. I get it. Some people go through it. But. I can't imagine. Just being like. Oh. F this. I'm. So I know. I'm just going to eat. Whatever I want. And like. It's just such a mindset thing. Now. That I'm like. There's no way. It's our identity. It's our identity. Yeah. Absolutely. You went from like. Sports. To now. I'm just going to get fit. And be this fit mom. That goes through life. Heck yeah. Heck yeah. I love that.

38:18So you. You are five years in. As we keep saying. Right. And you've gone through. All of the education. Gone through all the modules. You've learned everything. You have. Such like. A wealth of education. Like under your belt. For somebody that's listening. That thinks that they have to track macros. For the rest of their life. Or. They think like. They can't do that. Because they don't want to. And they. They. Aspire. Though they aspire to have the results. That you have.

38:48What. What would you tell that person? So. In the beginning. When I was learning about macros. And trying to figure out. It's. It's overwhelming. It's a lot. And. So the apps now. Now that we're five years in. The apps are much more intuitive. I can like. Scan and figure out. Like you can scan food now. And it tells you the macros in it. Close enough. And. So I was so on it. For. The first few. Probably three years. I was. No. Nothing.

39:19Went in my mouth. That wasn't tracked in this phone. Like. And the bites. Licks and tastes. Nothing. What about the. No BLTs. Coming off of your. Your weight. Nothing. Like. No one shares my. We have a rule in this house. Like. Nobody takes anybody's food. Oh. That's a great rule. Don't touch my food. We don't. Yeah. You know those families that like. Oh. Let's share everything. I'm like. Uh uh. This is tracked. This is portioned out. No one's touching my food. I love that. So it's. It took three years. Of like. Super strict.

39:51Macro. Counting. And then. As I slowly. Undid everything. I'm like. I can still. Hit my numbers. And. Get my goals. Without being. So. Like. I know. Eyeballing. I know how much stuff is now. Right. I know how much. Protein I need at every meal. I know the quantity of food. And. And so. Eventually. It gets a little intuitive. And you feel more comfortable with it. And. Could I track in the future? Probably.

40:21If I. You know. Fall off. And figure out like. Okay. I need to get back on this. But I think I'm eating so clean now. And so. Strict. I'm like. We don't eat out a lot. And. I'm not going in the pantry. And getting chips. Like. It's just not. In my diet. It's like whole foods. And that's it. And. So it's much easier. To just. Eat. And. Yeah. And intuitively eat. I love that. You had to put in the work. Three years. Tracking. Diligently. Right. And it. You know. To get success. You have to work hard.

40:52Yeah. That's just like. Facts. And then to that. But it pays off. And you don't have to track macros. For the rest of your life. I stopped tracking diligently. About like a year ago. And now it's just like. It just. And I. But the thing is. In order for me to stop. Like. I was on and off with it. Like. It was. It was a little bit of a battle. Mentally. I don't know if you experienced it too. It's like I had. And then at one point. I was like. Nikki. You just trust yourself. Like. You know this like. Inside and out. In the back of your hand. Yeah. And when I fully trusted. In myself. That I was like. You can do this. Now it's just more.

41:22Being consciously aware. Of the decisions I'm making. Like you're saying. Like. Whole foods. No chips. Like. And then if I want something. It's in moderation. Correct. And that is a big thing too. Right. Because you're like. You can still eat. I don't. Eat pizza or anything. But like. If you like pizza. You can still have it. Yeah. And that's like. The best part of macros. That fit it in. Right. Like that. If you want to. Do like a cheat day. Go ahead. Do a cheat meal. It doesn't have. You don't have to fall off the wagon.

41:52It's like. One meal. And. And if you get to a point. Like. Like. What. My husband says. My. Like. Inner determination. Is just like. I'm on another planet. Like. I'm just like. Clear. I'm not gonna eat that. Why would I ever want that? And so we like. Pass something. And he's like. Oh. I would crush that right now. And I'm like. What? Like. There's nothing. That I've been like. Oh. I want that so bad. And I can't have it. That's. If I want it. I eat it. Amen. And my. Taste buds now.

42:22Are just. Not craving. The crap. Amen. It's like. Give me a steak. Give me. Like. Fresh fruit. Like. And you just get to a point. Where that intuitively happens. And you have to put in the work. To get to that. And to that point. When you do like. Have. Something. That is a little off. You can feel the difference. In your body. So gross. So gross. Sugar. Or something like that. Like. Especially around my period. Sometimes I go for. Yep. Sour patch kids. Or something. But like. Then I'm like. I'm like. Three or four in. I'm like. You can feel it. Hit. Yeah. Immediately. Like.

42:52You're so in tune. With your body. Yeah. You've done the work. To understanding it. And you know. Feeding it the healthy food. It's like. Yeah. Your taste buds. Are drastically different. The way your body responds to. Is drastically different. Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah. So. What do you think. Are some of your top achievements. That you've accomplished. With Warrior Beam. I think definitely. Following the plan. Going through. Complete. Cycles. Of. The build. And the cut. And the maintenance. And. Really figuring out.

43:25How to do maintenance. That was my big. And like. There's no end goal. Right. There's no finish line. There's no age. Where I'm going to be like. Well. I have my body. So I guess. I'm going to stop now. It just like. Mentally getting through that. No finish line aspect. Was huge for me. Because. It's just. It's just something you have to accept. It's never going to stop. And I enjoy it. I enjoy working out every day. I enjoy eating the way I eat. And it's just the mentality of doing that. So I think going through all those phases was super hard in the beginning.

43:58It's a lot. It would be so much easier to be a mom sitting on the couch. Yes. Do I spend like. Like. Butt loads amount of hours. Like figuring out what I'm eating. And when I'm eating it. And when I'm going to work out. Yes. And it's super stressful. But the other side of that. Is not being there for my kids. And not showing my kids. What to eat. How to eat it. How to excel at sports. Like just that. Aspect of it. And all the education behind it that I've received.

44:29Is such a huge instrument to my successes. And the body you have. The muscles you have. The shoulders you have. And the mind that you have. There's some badass teams. I love all of that. How does it feel to like look back. And see how far you've come. It's crazy. Like we took. I put pictures. January 1st of like. I guess it was 2020. Like when I first started. And even like the beginning of like my build. And I would take all the pictures.

45:00And like. Send them to you to look at. I was like. I got nothing. Like. My butt was like completely flat. Yeah. You got a booty transformation. You got me. I got physique. But yeah. You got a butt in this. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I got a big butt. You're like. Yeah. It's like. Like. Hard though. It's like. Muscle. My husband's like. Jesus. Like where'd you get that from? I'm like. Do some squats. Yeah. You'll find it.

45:30Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Your estimations. I'm sure that the team will put on in edits. But your transitions are so cool. Crazy. Yeah. Even. Even just like taking cut. Like just a four month cut. Just to see. Like the water intake. When you increase that. What it does. And. This stupid scale. Is like. Just not. A good tool. And. And through all of this. I have learned not to go on the scale. And. I do it for like. Like when I was doing the build. It was like.

46:01This is for Nikki. This is numbers for Nikki. It has nothing to do with me. Let me just show her what it is. And get it out of my head. And. It's so hard to get over that. That is a huge hurdle for people. Because. You brought up being like. How much do you weigh? Oh. Why don't you lose some weight? And then you think it's not working. Because you're like. Oh. I lost one pound. Like. Right now. January 1st to right now. Yeah. I've lost three pounds. Almost three pounds. Not even three pounds. And I am like. Cut.

46:33And it's. Just. Like your muscles. Like your pictures. If you were to take side by sides. Like you can tell. Like there's still. There's a drastic change. Yes. Yeah. It's just from small changes. And. It's. The scale didn't move. And that's. Okay. Yeah. And that's super hard for people to get over. It just. It's a hard struggle. Because it's. What you were brought up with. Right? Like it's. So many people literally justify their emotions. Based off of the number on the scale. Yeah. Yes. Yes. It's like. If you step on and it's down. It's elating. And the rest of the day is awesome.

47:04If they step on it. And it's up. It's like. It's the end of the world. But they forget to look at the comparisons. And they're side to side. Because pictures tell it all. Scale. And that's the best part of the community. Is you take them side by side. And you're like. Guys. I see nothing. Like. What is going on? And they're like. Um. Hello. Look at this part. And then look at this part. And look at your cheeks. And look at your thighs. Like. There's like. Your whole face is different. And just that. Validity of like. Other people saying. Um. Yeah. Look. It's. It's. The pictures are just so much better.

47:34I'm so happy you brought that up. Because there is tons of pictures inside the community. Where people do say that. Because we're our own worst enemy. And we get in our heads. And we look at pictures. And we're like. Eh. And whatever. Some of them don't even. Like. There's warrior baby VIPs. That like. Coaches. Like. Have to send them their pictures. And be like. This is what I'm seeing. Because we don't need. Some. A lot of. And maybe this was you at the beginning. But a lot of women. Um. Take their pictures. And they don't even look at them. Right. That's what you were just saying. Like. You just went. This is for Nikki. This is for Nikki. This is for Nikki. Right. Yeah. Um. But that's. But then.

48:04And it's like. Then. Where you. Don't. Don't rely on the scale. Look at that picture. As uncomfortable as it is. It'll give you more motivation to keep going. Yeah. Absolutely. And you see the difference. And you're like. Oh. It is. It is doing something. Yeah. Even if the scale's not moving. I have another measure of success. And so slowly. You start like. Getting rid of that scale. And. Doing it less and less and less. And then you just. Go by feel. Totally. What. What would you feel like. Because we're going to wrap this up.

48:35In a couple more questions. Is there anything. That I didn't ask you. Here today. That you would want the listeners. To know. Um. I think a big. Aspect to this. Is the nutrition side. And. It's a lot. For me. It was a lot. Of trial and error. So some things. Didn't work for my body. Some things did. And the things that worked at 34. Are not working at 39.

49:05And so. Yes. You're going through all these changes. And working out. And doing everything correctly. But maybe the foods. That you're eating. Are not in tune. With your specific body. And so. Just that trial and error. Of. Everything. Like it just has to be. A continual. Thing. Because now you're going to get older. And now you're going to hit. Different hormonal stages. And. What sweet potatoes did to me. Two years ago. Is not what sweet potatoes do to me now. And it's just. Like being aware of that.

49:36And being. Knowledgeable enough. To be able to go through. Those changes. Is. And. And just bring it to your attention. Right. You're like. Oh. Why am. Why does my body feel weird now. And then. To be able to look back. And be like. Okay. This is what I'm eating. This is why I feel weird. And just. Keeping that as a forefront. Of your nutrition. Of making sure you're hitting everything. But also the quality of the food. That you're eating. Might change. So just. Like. Keeping that open. And flowing. Is. Has really helped me a lot. Totally. Well that's such great advice. Thank you for sharing that.

50:08Yeah. What would you say to somebody. That is watching this right now. And they're unsure about taking. The next step. Like maybe they saw. There's a couple of. Worry Babes that like. I talked to you. And they were like. I saw your ad. But then like. I put it on my revisit page. And I didn't come back to it. For a year and a half. Or like. I saw. Yeah. That was one of them the other day. And then. There was another one that said. That they sat on it for a month. And so it's like. What would you tell someone. That's like. Unsure about taking that next step. Like. What would you say. In terms of how Worry Babes can impact them. And.

50:38The impact that it can have on their life. I would. One. Do it. But two. Like. You need to align. Your values. What your goals are. And just your family value. Like. Make sure you're all in a line. And. It works itself out. So. So my biggest thing was like. How is this going to fit in. And. Just jumping into me. Jumping into it immediately.

51:08Immediately going into a build. I was just. All in. And I was like. This is. She said exactly what I want. I want more food. I want less cardio. And it. Works. You have to follow the game plan. Follow exactly what it is. And you guys have a coach. Who is leading you. Which is like. A whole nother Nikki. Which. I can't even imagine. Having like. They're better. Nikki next to me. Thank you Ashley. They're better though. They're way better. Like. It's. It's just such.

51:39A. Empowering. Environment. That. It's like. Anything that I have ever. Tried. Or experienced. And. And like. The community. Like I. I have like. Christmas card friends. In the community. I. Have. Women. Like. At my gym. That we talk to. There's one that. Lives in my kids. School. So we like. Catch up for coffee. Every like. Few months. Like. There's people who. We have. I went to Hawaii. To visit my brother. And I called one. I was like. Hey. I'm gonna be here. You wanna work out? We worked out together. It's gonna make me cry.

52:10It's just. It's just hard to find. Such a like. Unique. Community. Of women. Who like. Get it. Who work hard. And get it. I love that. That is. That is. There's tears in my eyes. Cause that's literally everything. Everything from the point that. You. As a human. Dove into the program. Took it. Seriously. And just listen to. We're the best student. Down to the impact.

52:40That it's made for you. To reach out. And make friends. And. Create like an ecosystem. Of a support system. Of people that. Get the lifestyle. That you live. And embody. And then all the way. To the. To the. You're cementing the foundations. Of lasting health. For your family. And for your kids. Absolutely. And like. You're. You embody. What a warrior babe is. Oh. Thank you. You're welcome. And I thank you. For showing up. For being consistent. For.

53:10Leading by example. Like. As. That is exactly. What you're doing. And. I can't thank you enough. And I can't thank you enough. For sharing your story here. On this platform. Cause it's going to. Help somebody. Understand that. They can do this too. And they can develop. Their confidence. They can develop. Self-belief. They can develop. An understanding. And education. Around nutrition. And exercise. And have. You know. You're. You're different. Than all the interviews. That I've had. Because you've been on it. For five years. So you're on the other end. Of like. You're intuitively eating now. You've done the macro game. For a while. You understand the education.

53:41You've. Lived the lifestyle. Now. It's literally. Just a part of who you are. Yeah. Absolutely. And that is. Incredible. So. Thank you. For sharing your story. And for being here. And hanging out. Yeah. Thank you so much. For having me. I appreciate it. And thank you. For building this amazing community. And. And just watching. The company. Like evolve. And. Change. You know. The target market. And change. Like what you're doing. Day to day. It's super impactful. And it's amazing. To just kind of sit back. And watch. And see everybody come in. And. It's really exciting.

54:12I'm really happy for you. And excited for the future. For where you're being. Thank you. Ashley. That means so much. I appreciate you. Real quick. If this episode. Resonated with you. Or gave you the push. That you needed. I'd love for you. To pay it forward. Drop a quick rating. And review. Share the podcast. With someone. Who might need it. And help me. Keep spreading. The word. Your feedback. Not only helps. The show grow. But it might just be. The nudge. Someone else needs. To kickstart. Their transformation. Thank you. So so so much.
