Full transcript
00:00What was some early wins out of the gate after you signed up? What did you experience? My weight started like immediately. Like as soon as I started feeling properly, because I never really tracked food, that scale started going down and I was like, okay, this is going to work right away. I'm like, this is going to be more than a year for me, I think. Did you sign up for year two? Yes. Yes. And I'm going to do a third for sure. I didn't really have any structure and I was like, well, obviously I'm going to need some help here. So I might as well just bite the bullet and, you know, get the instruction I need because obviously whatever you were doing is working.
00:42What's going on, everybody? Hey, you guys. Welcome back to another WarriorBabe story that we have here today. I have Lisa with us. And Lisa is someone who has always been interested in fitness and doing what she thought was like the right things to do for her health. But despite all of like the research and the workouts and the effort that she was putting in, she felt like something was missing and she struggled with her body image. She questioned whether she was doing enough to like help herself get to where she wanted to get to.
01:15And then she wanted to get ahead of the hormonal changes that she knew was coming. And then she found WarriorBabe and then everything clicked. So today we're going to go through her story. She's here with us. Welcome, Lisa. Thank you so much. So can you share with us where, like, take us back to the version of you before WarriorBabe. What were you struggling with the most there? Oh my goodness. So, like, about a month and a half before I joined, I literally, like, my life went off the reservation because I literally got fired from my job unexpectedly.
01:51And it was all over an honest mistake. And it threw me for a loop. I knew I was, like, gaining weight as I'm in. And so while I was working in a high-stress job, I was, like, throwing everything at the wall to see what would stick to try to get ahead of it. And so I probably spent three weeks on my couch just, like, wallowing in depression. And I just, I feel like just my whole body was inflamed. I didn't feel good. And then I started seeing you online.
02:24And I was, like, I started to get really inspired. And I felt, like, kind of the last raw moment was, like, my thighs were literally rubbing together. And I could not abide that. I'm, like, I have to do something. It was, like, nerve-wracking. But I was, like, I'm just going to apply. What do I have to lose? And the transformation, like, it still blows my mind. Like, I can't believe it. We're going to get there. I can't always talk about that part. So in the midst of, like, losing your job and that being in, like, a high-stressed environment,
02:57what were things that you were trying to do for your health? But it just, like, it wasn't sticking that you felt. You felt you were doing everything right. What did that mean to you back then? I have a ton of Beachbody programs. And I actually was a coach. But I don't know that I even have enough knowledge to, like, coach another person. So, but I always did, like, the Beachbody. And so as I was getting older, you know, obviously it stopped working like it was when I was in my 30s. And so I started to, like, explore.
03:29I tried, like, V-Shred. And so they were talking about carb cycling. So I was, like, well, maybe I just need a carb cycle. But I didn't really know what I was doing. So I would, like, try not to eat carb for, like, two or three days. And then I would, like, try to eat healthy carbs for a day. And it would jumpstart my metabolism for, like, the first two weeks. So I was just trying like that. And then I was, like, I'd bounce into intermittent fasting because I was, like, I got to do something here extreme. Trying to do the workouts with the high-stress job.
03:59It was kind of a hot mess. I'm not going to lie. And your nutrition was, like, all over the place. Your workouts were all over the place. Yes. I would just pick and choose whatever if I, you know. And I didn't really have any structure. And I was, like, well, obviously I'm going to need some help here. So I might as well just bite the bullet and, you know, get the instruction I need. Because obviously whatever you were doing is working. So I was, like, I got to tap into that. You were just trying to do everything on your own. Like, you were doing the work in terms of looking for research.
04:30And, like, trying to find the best thing to do for you. But you were the one coaching yourself through it. Yes. And, like, the free stuff only takes you so far. And then you hit a wall where they want money to, like, get past that to, like. And then I bought some supplements through V-Shred. And then he started talking about macros, like, after the paywall. But he honestly was, like, he's, like, I don't really know how to do that. I just outsourced that to a chef. And I was, like, I didn't know. Now I know that's a little shocking.
05:01Yeah. Interesting. Okay. So you also mentioned, too, that you were struggling with, like, feeling like you were struggling with your body image. That stemmed from you being in ballet, right? Like a ballet background. Can you talk a little bit about that? Because you're definitely not alone when you say you struggle with your body image with that. Yeah. That's where this program shines. Well, so I started in ballet in elementary school. And then I got my toe shoes when I was in sixth grade. But it was, like, a very serious ballet company.
05:34And so he wanted everyone to weigh 90 pounds or under. And he, so he would literally, like, weigh us every week. And when I left, there was literally, like, girls in junior high getting eating disorders. It was, like, and I had to take, like, 11 classes a week. And so he didn't really like me. And he would, like, I would get called out all the time on the regular because I think he thought I wasn't very smart. But it was just because my brain just works different. I'm an analytical thinker. So I had all of that in my mind.
06:05And when you get told that over and over, you start to, like, think that it's true. So it took me until I was, like, 40 to figure out that that is just what was spoken over me. It's really not true. And I started to get really bad anxiety. Like, I wouldn't have been able to have this conversation. I couldn't talk to anyone without really bad anxiety and horrible body image issues. And literally now I feel like I'm free of all of that because of Warrior Babe. Oh, well, I can't wait. I'm excited to hear what caused you to have those big transformations inside of Warrior Babe.
06:37Yeah. So when you – how did you first come across this again? How did you first see Warrior Babe? So I started seeing you popping up. I want to say it was Facebook. And there was one – so it's been about a year. But so hopefully my memory is right. But you had a video where you said you were hanging out with, like, older women who were, like, a month out from being, like, you know, in a fitness competition and, like, learning how to do all that. And I got so inspired. I was, like, I need to know more about this.
07:08If that is true, because I've always thought you don't have to accept that you're just getting older and there's nothing you can do about it. I reject that with everything in me. So when I saw you, like, these people thriving in the 50s, 60s, I'm, like, whoa. So why can't I do that? So here I am. I took the leap. I'm, like, I don't know if I can get in, but I'm sure going to try. Do you have any fears about joining the program initially? Well, yes and no.
07:38I love that it was, like, you were very forthright. Like, even in my first interview, she's, like, well, we're just going to chat and I'm going to determine if this is right and we can actually help you or not. And then I'm going to just be frank with you. And it's terrifying, but I also really love that because it's, like, you're trying to see whether or not you can invest in a person to actually help them. And I was, like, well, that's actually a good thing because I feel like as a society, we've gotten away from merit-based. And I was, like, well, if I'm not going to make the cut, then, you know, let's not waste everyone's time here.
08:12But it was a little terrifying because I was, like, well, I don't know what I'm going to do if I don't make it, but I got to try. I love that. Okay, so with some of the things that we were pointing out, maybe even some of the things that resonated with you because you love that we're, like, fighting against some of the fitness industry stuff that's, like, that we're, that are teaching women things. What were some of those truths that really resonated with you that we were preaching against? Oh, yeah. Yeah, so, yeah, I, about 10 years ago, I started going on, I was really just sharpening my mind and coming out of things that were untrue, but I hadn't hit, like, the fitness space yet.
08:49So, what happened was when I started listening to your podcast and everything that you were saying was absolutely resonating of, like, hey, what the fitness industry is telling you, it is not working. And I'm going to tell you the hard truth. And, like, to me, I was, like, okay, this is where it's at. Like, just pushing back against that because if what you're doing isn't working, then you probably need to change it up. And just, you know, just the truthfulness of that of, like, every day, like, lay it down of, like, I'm going to tell you the hard truth because I love you guys.
09:23And I feel like that's very much my personality, too, of, like, let's push back against those mainstream things that are not even true because at the end of the day, I just want the truth. Yeah. Oh, I love that. And I love that, you know, it seems like you got some of that truth. So what were some, like, early wins when you first signed up? Because we were just talking before, everyone that's listening to this, we were just talking beforehand. And it was Lisa's one year yesterday. So she's been in the Warrior Week program, VIP coaching, for one year now.
09:55What was some early wins out of the gate after you said yes, after you signed up? What did you experience? Like, it started coming right away. And so on the initial interview, I think they said that only about 2% of women get immediate results. So I was like, well, okay. Well, I think I was in that 2% because, like, my weight started, like, immediately. Like, as soon as I started feeling properly, because I never really tracked food, that scale started going down.
10:26And I was like, okay, this is going to work. So, like, I don't know how I'm in, like, that percentile, but I don't know if I just had, like, an underlying, like, I was just healthy to begin with and just hadn't fueled properly. And then when I got in, I'd say I was in, like, a month, my, like, my I can do this. Changing, I will. This is something I will do. Like, it changed from I can to I will. And, like, after, like, the first two months when I started to really kind of, like, start to get the macro thing, that it just, like, all started coming together.
11:02So just, I feel like right out the gate, I had, like, so many wins. And my coach was awesome and so supportive. Like, I can't even say enough good about Lindsay. Like, just to have her in my corner, I'm like, I need to be in this. I already started thinking long term, like, right away. I'm like, this is going to be more than a year for me, I think. Did you sign up for year two? Yes. Yes. And I'm going to do a third for sure. And then we'll see from there. I'm going to do, I got, I was like, well, I got to go through a build. I'm just going to finish the cut now.
11:34And then she said in the fall, we'll start a build. So I was like, I got to go through all of the cycles with you at least. Oh, that's amazing. I love that, Lisa. Quick break. If you're finding this episode helpful so far, it would mean a lot if you could hit pause for just a second. Leave a quick rating or a review or share it with someone who could benefit from it. Your support helps more women discover these tools to build muscle, lose fat, and feel confident. Thank you so much for being a part of this journey with me.
12:04So you mentioned too beforehand that you weren't tracking. And then you started to track and the scale was going down. So do you remember roughly where you were starting at and what you got to eating wise, like calorie wise? But, um, so yeah, it's, it's really hard to say where I was at. Cause I never like, there would be short periods where I would get a, I had used my fitness pal before, but, um, since I didn't really know what I was doing, I was like a phase that I went through. So I'm not sure.
12:34I think the main thing that was, um, my macros are just out of balance. Cause I know that I wasn't eating enough protein. Um, so I think it was just probably heavy on, and I was eating too much processed food just to be honest. Like, and I knew it, but, um, and, and it's interesting. I, so I've done a number of different programs and every single one would put me at 1200 calories to start to be like, based on your goals, you need to be at 1200 calories. Well, now that I, cause I started out in this program at 1600.
13:08Amazing. And, but I wasn't like afraid. I was kind of like all in of like, well, okay, I'm just going to follow whatever a coach tells me and we're going to go from there. And then the results just came. So I was like, well, this is it. Where was your thoughts around? Like you mentioned that you weren't really eating that much protein and you started, were you afraid to eat more protein? Or were you just open to the idea that you understood the protein was maybe the way that you were going to get the results that you wanted? Yeah, I, I really wasn't afraid.
13:40Like I, I'm not one of those women that worry about bulking up. I actually kind of think that'd be cool. So I was like, well, um, just from listening to you, I was like, well, I, I, and seeing your results. I'm like, well, obviously the protein is a major factor, but until I actually started doing it for myself, I really had no idea how key that was to the success. And so now I, every chance I get, I, I try to tell people, I'm like, you need more protein. Like without being obnoxious about it.
14:12I'm like, because now I understand. Mm-hmm. Ladies, are you feeling frustrated with body changes you're experiencing during menopause? It's time to take control. So you mentioned that you were in a cut face?
15:24Yeah. Yep, I'm just coming out. I think I have two more weeks. Okay. And let's talk about some of those experiences that you've had since your transformation that you've had in this year physically first. We'll talk about that. What have you experienced physically with changes? Oh, my gosh. I actually, so I came in with a goal weight and I've gotten quite a bit below that. Actually, and I'm not, so, and I'm not even like tied to the scale at all. Like I could live. When I hit my maintenance, I was like, I could hang here.
15:57I hit my goal weight and I was like, I could do this. But then I'm like, well, you know, I paid for the coach. Let's go through the full experience and see if I can get shredded out. So I was actually really nervous about being hangry. But my coach was like, it'll be fine. She was totally right. Like, she's like, just keep the protein high. And I got in and I was like, I was like, okay, I can, this, this isn't as bad as I thought. I could do this. Um, so I'm like, I'm in it for like everything that I can get out of this experience of like,
16:30let's just see what I can build now. Um, cause I, when I came in, I was like, I want to do a six packs and I want to do a pull up. The six packs I got pull up, still working on it, but it's coming. That will be a huge win for me. Dude, that's amazing. So you went below your goal weight, which we know where it's like, okay, but physically, you know, you got the, you got the abs. Yes. And did I hear that you were losing the weight while working towards getting to your maintenance number?
17:02I started dropping at least a pound a week from the get go, like the entire time. That is amazing. For everybody that's not watching on video, my jaw has just dropped for the last 30 seconds. So you're one of these, these are my favorite testimonies is you ate more food and you lost weight. Okay. Can we just talk about that for a second? Is that like a, a mind? Like, like, does that screw with your mind? Do you think all the years you thought you had a carb cycle and eat less and like, weren't
17:35sure like exactly what to do, but you probably never imagined that eating more was going to help you lose the weight. Yeah. I think so. I didn't actually, I did not know how strong I actually am because before I didn't really go too much above 20 pounds in my workouts. And now that's like almost the floor. Like I I'm blowing my mind with what I'm lifting. So I feel like in the combination of like the right amount of protein with the strength training. And I feel like that's probably what fired up the metabolism and the weight just started
18:09shredding off because to build muscle and lose weight at the same time, I actually didn't know that that was possible. But it is come to find out. And that was so motivational to me because, and so when I take my workouts as a personal challenge of like, oh, I did that last week. Well, let's up that. So I feel like progressive overload is something for whatever reason, like it's my wheelhouse. That's amazing. How many days a week a week are you working out now? Um, so I'm doing five, four strength trains and then like a full body cardio type, which
18:43I don't really love cardio, but it hasn't been too bad. I'm, my heart is in the lifting part of it, but turns out it was what I was built for, I guess. Yeah. How can I ask how old you are? 47. Amazing. So we're listening to this again, like, cause you said, well, I thought it was just as I got older, like you didn't, you didn't, uh, cling onto that narrative, but you were hearing that narrative. Right. Yeah. And I never accepted that.
19:14Yeah. Yeah. I love that. I love that. You came in with a good, the right mentality, but now I'm curious to hear, to know what your experience has been mentally, because you mentioned that that has been like a big shift for you too, as well. So can you talk about that? Yeah. Um, I don't quite know what the connection between like building muscle and your confidence boost is, but, and just feeling healthier. I think too, I had so much information that it was, I did not feel good at all.
19:47And I was dog tired all the time. I got to where I hated working out, but I knew that I had to. So I would like literally force myself to do insanity while I was so tired. I couldn't think straight. Cause I was like, well, this is what I got to do. The confidence, like just to even be able to sit here and talk to you with confidence is like a huge win for me. You're crushing it. Literally. I don't have body images. Cause like, I, I smile every time I look in the mirror now. Cause I'm like in one year's time, this is possible.
20:18Like, and I, I feel like I'm just at the beginning of my journey and I literally want to tell everybody like, this is where it is at. Preach it girl. Tell everybody, tell your neighbor, tell your coworkers, tell your aunt, tell your cousin. I don't want to be that obnoxious person, but like, I kind of like, you know how like people, they, they look at your progress and they kind of get down on you. And I was like, at some point I was like, that just cannot be my problem. Like I have to do this journey for me and you can get out of your own way and join me.
20:50Or you can, you know, like, do you want to feel, sit there and feel bad? That's kind of on you, but it's not going to stop me from like my goals. So you just kind of have to love on those people. But at the same time, it's like, well, I'm, I'm going to do this care. And I try to be inspiring to other people and not just like, you know, like obnoxious about it and lecturing people that that doesn't work. I'm like, I'm just going to be on this journey out in the open. And if you'd like to know about it, you can come talk to me and let's, you know, let's
21:25make some changes and get healthier. I love that. Yeah. Some people, not everybody is going to be receptive to your transformation. The ones that will ask you questions and the ones that may have a negative response on it, have nothing to do with you and everything to do with them. And that's just kind of where I just decided to be. And, um, cause I can't control that. Yeah. How has your confidence, um, affected like other areas of your life, like day to day, like work or like family, like what does that look like?
21:57Oh my gosh. I, I just, I feel like a different person. So, so this is, this is one little win that happened. So like, I, I've always wanted to be like the person that like, like there's an emergency. I don't want to be the person that runs from it. I want to be like someone that jumps in and helps. And so I, that started to happen. Like I, there was like, it obviously used discretion, but there was like a girl strand on the side of the road. And, and before I feel like I would have drove by, but I was like, well, it's not a dude. You know, I don't feel like this is unsafe.
22:28I'm gonna pull over and see what she needs. And that like, that's something that I don't know if I would have, this is part of the transformation of like, I want to be that person that runs into the burning building to help. So, and so that's another reason why this whole thing is just transformational as far as that goes to have the confidence of like, yeah, I don't want to be that person that just sits on the sidelines and watches or drives by. Like, I'm not about that. So. That's so powerful, Lisa. It's because you made the decision for yourself to do something, to change where you were and
23:03you've, and you've done the work, you put in the action, you've done the workouts, you've tracked your food, you've seen the progress. All because you made a decision and a commitment. And so like that, I think it's so cool how it's trickling into other areas of your life where you're going to be, you're that person. It's like, no, I'm just going to go show up because all it is, is a decision. It's a yes, I'm going to, or no, I'm not going to. And typically majority of them can be a yes, because you can then, you know, how you're saying it, you can help others or you can tell other people about it or, and then it just circles
23:35back to like the impact that you're making. You made impact for yourself. Now you're making impact everywhere else because of your confidence. And that's where it starts. Yes. And that's what resonated about you. I feel like you're in it for the right reasons. Like, I feel like you literally want to help women. And I was like, I, I do personal care right now. And there's something so rewarding about that. And like, if I can do anything to help another person on their health journey, like, why wouldn't you do that? Of like, just being in the medical field, like so much of what you say resonates with me
24:06on like so many levels. That's another reason why I was like, I think I could find a home here at Warrior Babe. Yes. Well, you sure have. You sure have. It is. It's all about just helping people. But yeah, I'm glad that you're here. And I'm glad you're making it your home for not just one year, but for multiple years. How has working with Lindsay, like your coach, how has working with the coach impacted your experience? I don't even know if I can like say how awesome, like, so the first thing that happened, like when I came in, I was kind of worried about the cost of food because my husband and I had
24:38done like a three week cleanse, like probably 2015. But and it was like $1,000 for the groceries. So like the one of the first thing I was like, because I was like, kind of nervous because I just got fired. And I like decided I had like, I didn't have like a ton of money at that time. And I was like, like, do I need to eat like organic? And she's the first thing. She's like, no, she's like, if you want to, you can. But and like, as soon as she said that, I was like, yes, this is gonna work. She wasn't like, you know, she's like, if you want, but because where I live, people
25:11actually move away because the cost of food is so high here. So like, I was like, I was actually nervous. I'm like, I hope I don't have to eat like all kinds of weird stuff that's and she was so down to earth. And the other superpower she has is like negative self talk. She has a way of turning that around that is like brilliant of like, the minute I start down that track, track, she's like, nope. She's not like mean about it. But she's like, no, we're not doing the negative self talk here. Like, and so I was like, I don't know, I just feel like we hit it off right away.
25:46She's so positive. Every time I meet with her, I leave so feeling so positive. It is. It's awesome. That's amazing. That's good. That's a good coach in your corner right there. That's for sure. And that the depth of the knowledge I was like, I need more years just to absorb even a little bit of what you know. And then and like her mentality of like, so the goal is for you to fire me and go do this for you know, and I was like, well, first of all, I don't want to do that. But like, second of all, that says a lot about this program of like, you're not there to pick pockets.
26:16You're actually there to change lives. Yes, I love that. So what other results have you experienced that we haven't talked about yet? Oh my gosh, I literally like, it's even hard for me to like quantify like, the wins, they're just stacking. Like I, I never would have imagined like, because because when you say like, well, you need a lot for like a year. And, you know, you may or may not see changes right away. And so I was like, so I had that, you know, like, okay, this might take a while took a
26:47while to get where I'm at. So make sense. Yeah. But like, immediately, my body just started thriving, like in a way that I can't tell you. And like, I ditched so much inflammation. And the other thing was to stress management was a huge one. I think that's a key component that doesn't get talked about enough. Because like the job that I had, the stress was through them. Like I literally my nervous system was glitching out from stress. And I do think that I gained a lot of inflammation.
27:18And because I've noticed now, like the biofeedback is really important. Because like, if I have go through like, a little bit of stress, like I'm noticing it kind of tanks my hunger cues for like a day or two, and then I'll bounce back. But I'm like, hmm. Yeah, that I didn't really understand how much that affected my metabolism. And I'm just so thankful that I was able to put that stress behind me. It was traumatic getting fired. But like, I picked the least stressful jobs I could find.
27:51Because I'm like, I'm going to do the fitness thing. And I'll not worry about anything else. Like, I work kind of by alone. And I can just de-stress. And I think that was a key, honestly, to a lot of the success I had. It was just like, leaving that in the rearview mirror. Like, this is not who I am anymore. I don't need this stress. So in a sense, I kind of want to write the CEO a thank you card for firing me. Because it ended up being the best thing that ever happened to me. Yeah. Everything happens for a reason, Lisa.
28:21Everything happens for a reason. Yeah. No, I love that you make that direct correlation. Because if you're under a lot of like, more so chronic stress, you know, that chronic cortisol elevation, that's going to shut down a lot of your hormonal cues. There's one being like, leptin and growling. And like, you recognizing that you're hungry or you're full. And that's one thing that a lot of women can't, don't feel is when they are hungry. People just eat to eat. Because they're like, oh, I didn't eat anything today. Right? But they don't have that internal feeling of like, wow, I'm actually, I'm hungry.
28:52My stomach is growling. Like, that's one of the big things that we hear with Wardbeam is that a lot of people get those feelings back again. So. Yes. Yes. I had lost that. And I, so I, I did have a history, like my, in my twenties, my life was so stressful. I went, my friend bought me like a massage therapy session. Cause some things happened. My first husband got in a motorcycle accident. It was just so stressful. And she was like, you have knots in your shoulders as hard as bone. And this was in like my twenties.
29:23So I tanked my thyroid and my adrenal glands from like a long time ago. So just the fact that my body is so resilient after all of this, I can come back and thrive and be as healthy as I was then. Like when I was in ballet is like, that is, I can't even wrap my head around that of like how resilient the human body is while we put it through. And if you just take care of it, it, I feel like it will bounce back. You just need the knowledge.
29:53So for me, I was like, this is holistic. The biofeedback that you guys do, the stress management, like there's literally like, I think there's literally nothing my coach couldn't help me with. Cause I was like, I kind of got lordosis of the lower spine. She's like, I can help you with that. I was like, oh really? Okay. My posture was all crazy like this in my first pictures. Like, wow. Like muscle imbalances. Like I've, I just tell her and she's like, all right, let's make a plan.
30:24So would you say that warrior babe is far more than just getting your macros and your workouts? It's a whole community of like, like-minded women, like feel like on the same journey and it's, I feel like I'm a lifer. I love that, Lisa. I love that. Good. Be a lifer. Stay with us until you feel like you're fully like, feel like you're fully confident and you know the things that you can take on. But that's, I mean, that's the goal. And I love that Lindsay said that like, you know, you're in the fire of me.
30:57It's like, we don't want you to, I mean, people will stay for five years, right? That's awesome. Five, six years. And then you feel like you have the good tools that you have that you need to be able to take it long-term and you trust yourself. Like there gets to a point, at least when I was working with clients, there gets to a point where you're like, okay, cool. So you tell me what you think. Like if I was working with you and you're like, you're five, I'd be like, Lisa, what do you think? And I'd be starting to help you like develop trust with your decisions so that you know the steps to take.
31:27Because ultimately by that time you, you'll, you'll, you'll get to that point where you're going to know it. You're going to be able to work collaboratively with Lindsay like that. So that's super exciting. That is incredible to me. Of just that knowledge base that you guys teach that. I'm like, who, who else does that? I don't, I don't know. That's why we're trying to stand out as often as possible. You definitely do. This is unlike anything. I mean, I've explored a lot of things just because I was on a journey of like, you know,
32:00let's just figure this out. And then when I feel like when I found Warrior Babe, that's when all the pieces came together for me. That's amazing. That's amazing. It makes my heart happy. If somebody is watching this right now, maybe they're feeling stuck or they're feeling like they're overworking or they feel like they're not seeing the results with all the effort that they're putting in. What would you want them to know? I think it's really important. What I did is the very beginning of my journey. I had my coach send me a sample meal plan and I still use it to this day as like the structure
32:32for how, cause I, I didn't really know. And it's just like a lot of whole foods. And the best thing in the world is really not a lot of cooking involved. If you don't want there to be like, it's just chopping vegetables, maybe cooking some chicken. Like it's a lot easier than I actually thought it would be. But I, I think that there's something to that of like in the beginning, maybe if you don't have any experience with how to track macros, ask for like, um, she gave me like a two week meal plan that, you know, and I kind of, and I'll build around.
33:05I don't like do it a hundred percent every day, but it gives me like, it gave me the structure until I, you know, with the training wheels on to be like, okay, this is how you do it. And I just hit repeat every day of like, cause I don't like to eat the same thing every single day, but if I have two weeks, I can cycle through and it keeps me from getting bored. But until, you know, it gets more easy to understand how the macros work, that was probably one of the most valuable things that she gave me just right out the gate. Cause it was overwhelming at first, but you just got to do it.
33:38And yeah, jump in there. Yes. I think that's great advice. And I think I love the honesty of that. It, it, it is overwhelming. I mean, you're learning like a new skillset. It's just like riding your bike for the first time. Um, you're, you're doing something you've never done before and you got to allow and give yourself that grace and that space to be able to, to learn it. But I love that you mentioned the tools, like your coach will give you tools to help you be successful. It's not just like, okay, you sign up and here's your plan. It's like, let's take this step by step so that you can implement it along your journey.
34:12Yes. And that honestly priceless. Like you cannot put a price on that tailored, like custom plan. Yeah. That's what I would say is like, don't let that, the price tag, like scare you. Cause the value of it is more than you can even imagine. If you just, if you just commit and follow the advice of the coach and you know, if you, I'm sure that if you hit the wall and it's, it's not working, the coach would know enough to change it up. Like they're not going to just be like, well, let's leave you there. Like I didn't really have that. I feel like we hit the ground running for whatever reason.
34:44She put my macros and it stuck. And I didn't, I mean, I, I don't know how long I went before she even upped it, but it was a while. So I feel like right out the gate, she just nailed it. So I was like, she knows what she's doing. Obviously. It's like, she's, she wants us to, this is her profession or something like that, you know? Like, like just from the get go, she just sticks the landing and like, then, you know, you just, you just repeat every day until it gets easier and easier.
35:14Yep. Love that. Well, Hey, Lisa, thank you for being here and thank you for sharing your story. I think this is, this is a really cool conversation and getting to meet you and getting to chat with you about it. And everyone that's listening to this, like, I want you to just be a reminder that, you know, Lisa's transformation wasn't about doing more. It was sometimes just learning about what actually worked and by understanding how to feel her body, to challenge old beliefs, to trust the process. And she gained far more than just the physical results.
35:45I mean, she gained confidence, clarity. She gained a sustainable way forward in life. So if you've ever been feeling like you're stuck despite your best efforts and what you're trying, just let this story be proof that the right guidance, having a coach in your quarter can literally change everything.
