00:00I've maintained my results. I've gotten better results. And I've been in control of my body in the way it looks through sustainable, realistic, and most importantly, like happy ways, happy measures. Like I am just, I'm living my life. Like it's just a part of my life now. What's up, you guys? Welcome to The WarriorBabe Show with Nikkie Stott, co-founder and brand personality of WarriorBabe, where we talk about mindset, methodology, and tactics that will help you lose body fat, build muscle, be strong, and feel insanely confident.

00:33I'm your host, Nikkie Stott, and welcome, my friends, to episode number one, all about welcoming you guys to The WarriorBabe Show. We'll dive into who this podcast is for, who it's not for, what it's all about. I'm going to share my fitness background with you guys, the backstory of it all, the birth of WarriorBabe, and then I'll explain this podcast's release schedule and its structure. But most importantly, you guys, I am just so excited to dive into this journey with you all to share my experiences, my professional tips, all of the information that is in my brain of how to go about achieving your, you know, what you personally want to accomplish with your own body, whether it's, you know, decreasing body fat, building muscle, whatever it is, losing some weight.

01:27I am excited to just pull out all of my information, all the tips that I know will help make you successful and give it to you all. And most importantly, we're going to be able to pull out the same type of information from guests that will be on this podcast too. And we're going to just share insane value with you all in the hopes and the goal is that you will take this information and you will start applying it to your life with daily actions. That's going to then result in what you want to see, what changes in your body composition.

01:58So it's like, you know, Christmas morning over here. Like, I'm just so excited to be on this journey with you guys and to have this podcast live. Um, so let's talk about who this podcast is not for. This is not for anybody that is like a quick fix seeker. Like you want to hop into something that's going to get you results in like, you know, 30 days and like expect that those results are going to be life changing results. Like this is not for you. This podcast is not going to give you quick fixes. This podcast is also not for people who are, you know, instant gratification goers.

02:33Like, you know, I'm going to pop my body into a microwave, press 30 seconds and out comes a toned body. Like, you know, wanting results like yesterday. Like this is not for you. I am not going to speak to instant gratification tactics. Like this podcast is for those who understand or want to understand that building muscle and changing your body composition is a long term game. It is not something that happens overnight. It's like changing your body composition. Just think of that phrase right there.

03:04Changing your body composition. Like that is a lot to unpack. It is a long term game. This is like and like once you accept to I'm going off a little right here, but that your journey could take you six to eight to like 12 to like 18 months. Once you accept that you're going to just enjoy the journey so much more. But anyway, this is for those who under who want who understand or want to understand that building muscle and changing your body composition takes is a long term game. And then this is also for those who are OK with getting obsessed or like want to learn how to get obsessed with delayed gratification.

03:41And knowing that taking small strides daily will compound over time. So like what you do today, what you do tomorrow, what you do the next day, you know, you may not see the result in one week. But if you do that consistently and over time, it's all going to compound. So in six months or eight months, you're going to see the results you want. And then this is also for those who are like are just so overwhelmed on what to do and how to do it because there's so many different things out there that are telling you how to get to the same result. Like I know how overwhelming like the Internet is and all these tactics that you see online to get you to the same result that everyone says is there's 10 different ways to do it.

04:20Like if that is you and you're feeling entirely overwhelmed or any of those other things that I mentioned, like you are in the right place. This podcast is for you. For those of you who know me or who don't know me, this may be like the first time you're hearing of Nikki Stott and Warrior Babe. But, you know, for those that do know me and also the ones that will get to know me, know that I am a very straightforward and blunt person when it comes to anything fitness related. So this podcast will have a no bullshit, no nonsense approach to all things fitness. I'm going to tell you guys the truth on and like what it takes, like on how to build muscle, how to lose body fat and something some things that I share with you on this podcast may be contrary to things that you've seen or you tried from the Internet.

05:06I just want to bring you insane value. I want to serve you and I want to help you along your fitness journey, but I want to cut straight to the truth. And this is what this podcast is going to bring bring light to. In order for you to trust everything that I am saying here, in order for you to trust, you know, knowing that I am a professional in the space and be able to absorb everything that you're going to learn within this podcast. I want to share with you guys my backstory that I just feel like is going to be super relatable to you guys.

05:37Like I have once been in your shoes. If you are somebody that, you know, I shared with you in the beginning of who this is for and who this is not for. I was one of those things along my journey. And so trust is really important to me. I want you guys to be able to trust that trust me and trust that I can help you along your own personal journey of the goals that you want to accomplish with changing your body composition. So I want to share my story with you. I'm going to try and make it as short as I possibly can. But there's a lot to unpack over what took me really, you know, after figuring out how many years I struggled and to where I finally came to like, OK, this is like how to live it sustainably.

06:16It took me upwards of like six to eight years to figure it out. So there's a lot to unpack in those six to eight years. I'm going to do it as much as I possibly can in a short amount of time. So it all started back in my like early 20s. I'm 32 now going to be 33 in March. But it all started back in my early 20s. They were literally the struggle bus of my years, like from 2010 to 2014. I always wanted to be fit and to be healthy. Like I was an athlete my entire life, but I didn't look like an athlete.

06:50So like and I had this I wanted to be healthy. I wanted to be fit. But having I had no idea where to start. Double that with like hating the way that I looked. I always covered up in baggy clothes and I never wore shorts because I hated the way that my legs looked. And so in those couple of years, I tried to get a grip on like eating right. I tried a bunch of different things and like hitting the gym, but was on and off that trend for years. I could never keep anything consistent or like give it enough time to produce results.

07:26Is any of this resonating with you guys? Like, I hope it is. I know that I have been in your shoes and I hope that my story just kind of hit some points for you that you're struggling with. And like you're like, oh, she can do it and I can do it, too, because it's so true. So that was like my early 20s. And then until like finally in 2015, I made a New Year's resolution to myself that this was the year I transformed my body and that I was going to feel more confident in my skin.

07:57I was a New Year's resolution girl that actually followed through because I was sick and tired of being sick and tired of how I felt, of how I looked, everything. And again, this may sound super familiar since New Year's was only last week. It's 2023. Maybe you have these same feelings and goals, too, as well. However, in these first three months of 2015, I still had no idea what I was doing. And I was engulfed with so many different methods from the Internet.

08:28Do this. Do that. Eat this. Different things like a hundred different things to get the same result. Right. The result was always I wanted to have this like athletic looking figure. I want it to be like toned. Like I wanted to have muscle and I wanted to be strong. And I wanted that to like I wanted the inside because I knew that I have I have a very strong personality and I have a very strong just demeanor. And I wanted that to match my outside. But with all of this, do this, do that.

08:59But you can get the same result. Like it was hella confusing. But regardless of how confused I was, I still was taking action daily in some way to support my goal, even if it didn't make sense. So for like example, I Googled foods that had protein in it because I heard protein was like important to build muscle. And so I started making dinners with more protein in them. Like I remember making stuffed peppers. And, you know, my date were my days perfect with food at that time.

09:32Absolutely not. Hell no. Like, guys, I had an obsession with sugar, like sweets. They always got the best of me. I loved candy and I was only making dinner. So the rest of my day was like one other meal with like fruit and yogurt in it. I wasn't having breakfast, you know, not knowing all I know now. Like I wasn't eating enough to support the type of goals that I had. But it was a start. Right. It was a start. So like it being the new year for you guys, just like even if it doesn't make sense, just start doing something that supports the goal. And so that was like the nutrition side.

10:03But I was also I was Pinteresting workouts to do. However, like at first, guys, I was so intimidated by the dudes in the weight room. And if like, you know, the weight exercises that I found on Pinterest, if I would be even doing them right or if I would be like if I like I was so worried about how I looked and like if I if I looked like I was doing it the right way. So instead of walking into the weight room for the first couple of months, I would just walk right up to the treadmills and I would do cardio, which in this beginning of the year, I signed up for two half marathons because, you know, for that in the like spring in the summer of that year, because I thought that was a way to get the body I wanted or that was a good way to get the body that I wanted.

10:43So, yes, I was like a cardio bunny, too. Like I was running, I was training for it and I wasn't eating enough. So like this is fascinating. So needless to say, the first two months were rocky with my efforts. Like I did see some results, but I was looking more skinny fat, like not the not toned. So, you know, not it wasn't the type of results that were in the vision of my mind. And so this is where like the transition started to happen.

11:15Instagram got me. I saw these bodybuilding competitors with bodies that I wanted and started wondering, like, what are they doing that I'm not? And I literally you guys like I started dreaming of those bodies. I started dreaming of me having them. I started dreaming of being on stage contemplate. I contemplated competing at this time. I even told my family, I was like, guys, I want to do this. And I'll say this on the podcast. I didn't have support at the beginning, but I just I I just wanted it all so bad.

11:46Like I wanted this body so bad. I just had this insane, endless desire to have to achieve this for myself. And so one day I'm leaving the gym. This is like late, late March or beginning of April of 2015. And the general manager asks me, am I getting ready for a bikini competition? And I literally froze. I was like, holy shit, like unconsciously competent at this time. And now knowing that this was like manifestation and like true form.

12:18And if you guys believe in that, like woo stuff. But like I believe in like setting a vision for yourself and like trying to figure out what to do, all the actions to start taking, aligning yourself with that person you want to become. And so I told him that I was considering it. And so he gave me local coaches info to reach out to. And so I did like I immediately went home. I took action. I emailed this person and I scheduled a meet and greet with him within two days. And when I did meet him, I signed up with him on the spot. And within a week, he gave me a plan both for nutrition.

12:51He was so he was a professional. Like I need a professional help. I had no idea what I was doing. And I was sick and tired of not knowing what I was doing, being overwhelmed. I was like, dude, let me just like cut down the time by this person's mistakes, get his professional input and help me. And so within a week, he gave me both nutrition and workout plan to follow with the goal. Like I said, the goal to compete in my first bodybuilding competition in November 2015. Literally, you guys, the moment that I got this, I think was like a Thursday or Friday from him.

13:21I quit everything cold turkey and started the following Monday, like cold turkey. Like I mean, like my sugar addictions, like I just stopped. I started meal prepping. I meal prepped everything for myself that Sunday and I hit the ground running on Monday. Guys, hiring a coach, hiring a professional is what accelerated my results. It is what like literally like I bought. He was a professional. He knew what he was doing. He helped like probably hundreds of people for me. And so when I hired him, my results literally accelerated.

13:54So for eight months, I put in the work. I was insanely dedicated to achieve this outcome. However, a lot of it was not easy. And I'll put a plug in here. I worked out. I meal prepped. I dedicated time to this whole thing while I was finishing my nursing degree, taking care of my sick grandmother and working part time in the ER of a local hospital, in the emergency room of a local hospital. But at the same time, I'll save that and I'll share that in another podcast. So for eight months, I put in this work.

14:26Like I was insanely dedicated to this outcome. No excuses like getting it done. And so coming up to November and show day, I won. I became a pro in that same day, you guys. Now, this was a very small organization. So I got to compete with the pros that same night. And then I beat the pros that same night. And I won some money. But man, I was on fire. I was lit up. I was so excited. I was like, holy moly. Like I'm reaping my rewards right now.

14:57And so I wanted more. I was stoked. I became obsessed with understanding how all of this works, like the body, strength training, nutrition, everything, how it all tied together. Like, mind you, I was eating way more food than I ever fathomed was possible. And I was getting these insane results. Hey, hey, just want to drop a huge appreciation to you guys listening to the show. It means a lot. I hope you guys are enjoying it. And there's so much more to come with it. If you are enjoying it, hit the subscribe button.

15:28I'd appreciate that tons. And also, it would help this podcast reach others who need to hear these messages too. Thanks so much, guys. Let's get back to the show. And PS, you guys, like you don't have to compete to gain results of building muscle and decreasing body fat. Like, I've worked with a lot of women that are like, I just want to look like those people on stage. And that's totally chill and totally cool. You don't have to go through like the grueling prep and like, you know, save all that for another show. But, you know, you don't have to compete to gain these types of results that I achieved

15:59for myself. So, but let's get back to it. So, the high didn't last long. That high did not last long. And like, I was super, I was a beginner at this. I was super naive at this point. A beginner to it all. And after a goal was achieved, I had nothing really to look forward to. And so, I was like, oh, my body can stay like this forever. And wrong. I gained back 25 pounds in one month.

That's warriorbabe.com forward slash apply. All right, let's get back to the show. 25 pounds in one month. It was a very devastating point of my journey. Like I went into a show. I was heavier than when I started my journey.

17:40I struggled with this for a few months before. Like it just it sucked. Like it literally sucked. You guys, I was like the lowest I've ever been. I started my journey like 140 pounds or like 145 pounds. And I got down to 123 pounds. And like I was shredded. And then in one month, I gained 25 pounds back. So that was like what? 30, 40. That was yeah, that was above my starting weight. But I even I just looked I looked fatter. Like I was fat. And I struggled for a few months here.

18:12Before like I told my coach, I was like, I want to compete again because it was like all I knew to get in results. So I did. I went through the drooling prep for prep life for competition again. And I competed in early of 2016. This time winning pro status with a bigger federation. I took first place in that show too as well. And it's the OCB. It's a natural federation. You guys, I am 100% natural. I've been drug tested. I've been polygraphed. People tell me I'm on steroids all the time. They leave comments, nasty things on Instagram and Facebook.

18:44But like, let's just say right here, I am completely natural. And I'll say it over and over and over again. But awesome. Like I won again. Cool. Like I was happy with my body. Then I fell into the gaining weight yo-yo life again. And this time, guys, I was stuck in it for like two years. Like it seriously rocked me. And there were like, there's some stories in between. This is where I got certified as like a CPT. I graduated with my BSN.

19:14But I'll save all these like small little other stories for like podcasts to come. But I want to get on to when I competed in 2018 at a pro show. So again, I was like, I gotta get these results back. I gotta get my body back. So I competed again. But I competed as a pro at this point. And it wasn't ever really my goal to do that. But it was like, this is, I gotta get my body back in order. And this is the only way I know how to do it. So I competed at a pro show with the OCB, the biggest show in the OCB Federation.

19:46And I won again. I took first place against like eight or nine other pros I was up on stage with. And so 2018, I became the best women's physique athlete in the natural OCB Federation. And guys, I retired undefeated. Like I won all of my shows. I took first place. I never lost, which was a pretty cool thing. And this was the point, you guys, where I decided no more yo-yo afterwards. No more gaining all this way back. No more like, and I'm sure you guys can resonate. Like this is where, you know, people get a goal and then they don't have anything to look forward to.

20:20And then they yo-yo off and they gain all the way back. And then they do it repeatedly over time. Some people do it for five to ten years. But this one, I was like, no more. All the habits I learned through my years that got me my results, I started to apply in a sustainable and realistic way. Because this is where I also learned that like stage day body is not realistic to keep you around. And like, honestly, in my opinion, it's not like competitions is awesome to develop. Discipline, grit. Like the mindset shit is so there, but it's just not worth it for like 15 minutes max on stage only to be judged by judges on your body.

20:56Which is my opinion. And from so 2018 to today, 2023, I've maintained my results. I've gotten better results. And I've been in control of my body and the way it looks through sustainable, realistic, and most importantly, like happy ways, happy measures. Like I am just, I'm living my life. Like it's just a part of my life now. And I'm so happy that I've been able to use my experiences, the pain that I felt, the reflection that I gained, and then putting into a process that works for me and now works for 10,000 plus women inside of Warrior Babe.

21:30And so this is where Warrior Babe was born. There's another backstory to this. It was once called or named Alpha Female Fitness, but the trademark was taken. And so we had to cease and desist. And man, was that a time. But anyways, Warrior Babe was born because I felt if I could do this, I knew other women could. And like I've always, I went into nursing, I've always just wanted to help people. And so it was just a matter of giving women the right tools, the guidance, the accountability to do so and help them accelerate the results like I did. And I wanted women, most importantly, to know the truth instead of like all of the bullshit approaches that are online that aren't helping women, you know, who are just like you, you know, aren't helping women learn how to be in control of their body, learning how to do it, you know, sustainably and realistically for the rest of their lives.

22:21And since then, Warrior Babe has helped over 10,000 women, you know, we transformed their bodies, their lives through our methodologies, through our tactics that I'll be sharing with you in episodes of this podcast to come. Women who are just like you struggling to know what and how to do things that will get them the results to build muscle, to lose body fats and to feel confident with themselves. Women who are 40 and 50 struggling with their hormones, going through menopause and trying to, you know, figure out how they can get these results during this phase of life.

22:56You know, women who, you know, like I said, who are literally just like you. Women, we've helped all types of body types. We've helped small, athletic, overweight, people who are 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, even have an 82-year-old in our VIP program. And, you know, with our methodology, with the tactics I'm going to be sharing with you, I hope that you will be next to become a Warrior Babe. But this is, that was like the whole bulk of my, the story to the evolution of Warrior Babe, to now helping thousands of women with these, with what I struggle with, but also like turning it into making it personal to them.

23:29And like being able to not just give them like the tactics and the methodology and like why they should be doing this, but also, this is why I like to use this analogy, the iceberg, right? You guys have probably seen this online, but like a lot of things just focus, like a lot of programs, a lot of coaches, like, and nothing against it, but they just focus on like, here are the tactics that you need to do. Here's your workout program. Here's what you need to do nutritionally. You know, the tactics, the tip of the iceberg that people see like, okay, you know, this person's following this plan, this person's doing this diet, this person's training this way.

24:02But like, nobody sees the bottom of the iceberg, which is like the mindset, like the things, the discipline, the willpower, overcoming obstacles, overcoming excuses, the grit, the perseverance. So like showing up for yourself when you don't want to. And this is like, we use a lot of, we build upon those habits. We build upon the mindset things because we have to break patterns, right? That you've been stuck in or that even when I was stuck in, why I yo-yoed so many times. I went back to all my old habits.

24:33So you have to break those patterns, you have to break those habits, and then you can successfully achieve what's on the tip of the iceberg, all the tactics. So those are a couple of the things that we implement inside of Warrior Babe. But like, I'm going to be sharing them with you on this podcast too as well. And I'm sure like the other guests that I bring on to this podcast are going to be, you know, sharing enlightenment on those types of topics as well. So super excited. But again, that was a little bit of a backstory. I hope that resonates with you. I hope that you know that not only my professional in this space, but like I have endured what you are going through.

25:03I've been in your shoes and like I've overcome all of it. And that's what I'm here to share with you guys and to give you insane value on this podcast in hopes that you just take everything that I share with you and put it into action and apply it to your own journey. That's all I ask. So let's dive into the release schedule for this podcast. So to start, we're going to be releasing like two to three episodes weekly with the goal of adding more per week. Like I just want this to like just blow up. Okay. So like if you're listening to this right now, please share this. I would love to see who's listening to the first episode that we're kicking off.

25:36Share it to your Instagram. Share it somewhere that I will be able to see it. Tag me at Nikki Stott is where I live on my Instagram. Tag out warrior, babe. But anyway, we're going to be sharing two to three episodes weekly with the goal of adding more. And this podcast will also be hosted on YouTube for anyone that loves like visual watching visual and then audio together. I just waved at the camera.

26:07And then the structure of this. So like obviously I share with you in the opening where we'll be talking about mindset. Like the topics we're going to be talking about is like mindset, methodologies, and tactics that will help you guys lose body fat, build muscle, be strong, and feel insanely confident. We're going to keep it interview style at some points too as well. So we're going to be inviting guests on here. We're going to be speaking to specific topics with them so that you guys can learn from them too as well. And then I will also be opening it up and welcoming like audience participation.

26:38So I'm doing like Q&A style. So like maybe I'll drop on my Instagram and worry about Instagram and we'll be asking you guys some Q&A, like asking you guys some questions that you want answered. Maybe we'll even have like an email that you guys can email to ask some questions. But I want to welcome participation of you guys so that I can just feel like I'm talking to you guys directly. So that's the schedule. That's the structure. And that about wraps it up for today's podcast. Episode number one. You guys, again, super stoked to be here on this journey with you all.
