In this episode
You have set the goals, made the vision board and put in the effort, and the results still don't match. In this episode Nikkiey Stott sits down with her own energy coach, Candace Tranter, an integrative energy healer and elite performance coach with over 23 years of experience. Candace shares a simple formula for manifestation and explains why you can put in 100% effort and only get a 10% result. In her view, the body's fight-flight responses work hard to keep you safe from past pain, and that protection quietly sabotages what you say you want.
They get practical about what to do when you are stressed. Candace walks through slow nose breathing, getting your feet on the ground, softening your body and asking yourself what you actually want. She also explains how to listen to what your body is telling you by giving a sensation a shape, color, taste or smell. Then she covers why you need to make room to receive what you ask for, and why being able to accept a compliment matters.
For the new year, Candace shares her daily approach: five to ten minutes each morning to notice the beliefs and words getting in your way, setting both specific and non-specific goals, and visualizing how it will feel. Nikkiey connects this to her own bodybuilding prep, where she saw herself in her stage body months before she got there, and to her belief that you can work toward a goal from a place of already being worthy instead of fixing something that is wrong.
Key takeaways
- Candace's formula says the time it takes you to manifest something equals your skill multiplied by work plus focus, so a big gap between effort and result points to something underneath holding you back.
- In Candace's view, the body's fight-flight responses try to keep you safe from past pain and can sabotage goals that feel far from your current reality.
- When you are stressed, take a few slow, deep breaths in and out through the nose, get your feet on the ground, soften your shoulders and then ask yourself what you want.
- Get present by looking at something around you, like a flower, to bring your body into the here and now before you visualize the result you want.
- To understand a sensation in your body, sit with it and ask what shape, color, smell or taste it has and what it wants, which makes it tangible so it can be released.
- Spend five to ten minutes every morning getting aware of the non-ideals: the beliefs, mindsets and words you are speaking that are in the way.
- Pair a specific goal with a non-specific one that describes how it will feel, and visualize it for 15 minutes three times a day.
- Instead of only saying you want to lose 10 pounds, think, feel and act as if you are already living in that body so your body can catch up to it.
Questions answered
Why doesn't manifestation work for me?
Candace explains that you can put in full effort and only get a fraction of the result when fight-flight responses from past pain are running underneath. The body tries to keep you safe from getting hurt again, so it sabotages the goal, and people often stop going after what they want.
How can I calm my nervous system quickly when I'm stressed?
Candace recommends slow, deep breaths in and out through the nose, getting your feet on the ground, and softening your shoulders and body. Remind yourself that in this moment you are safe, then ask yourself what you want the outcome to be.
What are signs that your nervous system is dysregulated?
According to Candace, anxiety, rising blood pressure, not sleeping and not eating are all signs the body is not regulated. She says the body communicates through discomfort when something is off.
How do I figure out what my body is trying to tell me?
Candace suggests sitting with the sensation and asking whether it has a shape, a color, a smell or a taste, and what it wants or doesn't want. Once you give it form and acknowledge it, she says it can be released and replaced with something more peaceful.
How should I set goals or intentions for the new year?
Candace starts with five to ten minutes each morning noticing the beliefs, mindsets and words in the way. She then sets a specific goal, a non-specific goal about how it will feel, and small playful manifestations, and visualizes for 15 minutes three times a day.
Full transcript
Nikkiey: Real quick, the only ask I could ever have of you guys is to help spread the word so we can help more women lose body fat, build muscle, reach their goals, and feel insanely confident. And the only way we can do that is if you rate, review, and share this podcast. So the single thing I ask for you to do is if you could leave a review. It will take you 10 seconds, and it will mean the absolute world to me and may change the world of someone else.
Candace: Every single morning, spend 5 to 10 minutes. What are the non-ideals? What are the belief systems that are in the way? What are those mindsets? What are the words that you're speaking out? Getting super aware. We have to have awareness first, right?
Nikkiey: What is going on, everybody? Welcome back to The WarriorBabe Show. And today, I am so excited to introduce you all to a very, very special guest. Just for a little bit of context and also to know who you will be listening to today: I'm so excited to share her with you all. I feel like this is just God's work right now. Over the last couple of months, I've been on a very deeply transformative journey, and not just in my personal growth, but in understanding energy and understanding emotions and how all of those shape who I am and how I live my life. And this journey wouldn't have been possible without the incredible guidance and the support of who I have here today.
She is my energy coach. This is Candace. And to give you guys a little bit of background on what she has done in her work, she's an integrative energy healer, and she's an elite performance coach with over 23 years of experience. She specializes in guiding individuals and couples through profound personal transformations using techniques like cellular alignment, advanced breath work, and customized transformation blueprints. Let me say that one more time: and customized transformation blueprints. Mouthful.
Candace is truly, I feel like, personally put on this earth to do the Lord's work. And it's such a pleasure to have you here today. Without you, this journey, I don't think I would be able to go through it alone, but working with you has been nothing short of amazing. So welcome to the show.
Candace: Wow. Thank you so much. My heart is so full, and it's such an honor to hold that space. And, you know, it is God's work. I literally am a tool that God uses through me. So I can't take all that beautiful as my own, but definitely just to hold space. And it can be a scary journey for sure, right? As soon as we start bringing all the mess up, if we don't have the right tools, it can really create chaos in our world. So I am honored and I'm excited to have this conversation today, and I just adore you. Thank you for having me.
Nikkiey: Of course. All right. So can you share what first inspired you to step into this field and how your journey as an energy healer even began?
Candace: Sure. You know, I always tease my sister. When I was really young, I was terrified of the dark. And when my mom would go away, she would make me tickle her back for hours on end to be able to sleep in the bed with her. And I always say that's what made me become a massage therapist. We tease today, and she's like, oh, I'm so sorry.
But just as a very young girl, I remember probably around nine years old, even maybe younger, I just had this natural ability to lay my hands on somebody. If they had a headache, I would just massage their head. I just remember being really young, having this ability to use my touch and just give love in that way. And it wasn't until much later on in my life that I actually became a massage therapist. Actually, this is almost 24 years ago. I hung up my license last year to really spread out and do bigger work. But I got certified as a Reiki practitioner, Reiki master.
And I just got so fascinated. First of all, if someone's getting a massage and you're not dealing with the emotional, mental, physical, spiritual side of it, that physical ailment didn't seem to go away. So when I started working with energy and emotions, I saw, wow, if I go to the emotion and I just acknowledge that emotion, then that emotion can transform. So I have gone on this incredible journey.
Also, I was in a very abusive relationship at the time, a very violent relationship. And what I noticed with my own self, I could walk into that room and completely shut off what I was going through. I could be super present and I could be available for someone else. And that to me was very liberating. I had a space where I could detach from what I was going through, what I was experiencing. And that can almost become the addiction, right? I had peace there.
So it's just been this amazing journey. I studied Qigong and breath work and any way I could find to get to the energy that was holding that person back: identify it, acknowledge it, release it, let go and replace with God's love, and the body would transform. And then over time, the modalities that I've studied along the way have just got bigger, stronger, more impactful. And it just grows. It never ends. That's what I love about this journey. There's a never-ending way to access the body, mind and spirit, and we just have this much of an insight into it. So it's just amazing.
Nikkiey: Impactful was the perfect word in terms of everything that you do. And I'm also just selfishly so excited to have you here today to hear that journey that you've been through. I didn't know everything that you've encountered and done, but it makes so much more sense in terms of how you show up now in the work that you do for people.
One of the things that I realized talking to people about this, and I would love your insight on, is many people struggle with manifestation and they don't feel like it works for them. Whenever I'm like, you know, just try and envision the person you want to be, some people can't hold visions of that. Why do you think that is? And what's often missing in the approach that people take?
Candace: You know, recently, maybe in the last year, I got certified in one of my mentors' techniques, Tyler Watson's alignment technique. Anything that I really transform my own life in, I dive deep and I want it in my toolbox. He actually has a formula, and I wrote it down on a piece of paper early on just in case this came up. I know not everyone can see it, but U is unstoppable. So that's the amount of time it takes you to manifest something into your reality. Then skill. We all have to have a skill. Even if a mom is staying at home with her children, right? She has to have the skill to manage all that.
Skill, work and focus is going to give you the result of the manifestation, right? So however you are making the effort and the focus is going to create the manifestation. But what happens if you're putting 100% effort in, but only getting a 10% result? This is what happens with people when they get tripped up with manifestation. Our bodies are going to do everything in their power to make sure we're safe from getting hurt again.
So maybe someone started the manifestation. I remember when The Secret first came out: I was going to live in this multimillion-dollar home, I'm going to do this, I'm going to do that. But it's so far from the reality of where I was at that there's sabotage that happens in that process, because there are so many fight-flight responses that are not getting identified. So then the body is going to sabotage it. And then people generally will stop actually going for the thing that they love. And then it doesn't work, right?
Nikkiey: So just so everybody understands what you just shared, because a lot of people are either only listening in audio, or some are listening and watching on YouTube too, can you hold that sign up one more time for me?
Candace: Yeah. Should have tried to write it backwards.
Nikkiey: No, it's okay. It's perfect. Okay. U is...
Candace: Unstoppable.
Nikkiey: Oh, U is unstoppable.
Candace: Yeah. The amount of effort and time it takes you to get your manifestation. And that equals the skill of what is required, and in parentheses it's W plus F, which is work plus focus. So if we're putting in all this work and the focus with our skills and the result is not matching, then underneath that are going to be those allergies and addictions. And we'll go deeper into that as we have the conversation, because people are not going to understand that, right?
But those are the fight-flight responses. The body is going to keep you from getting the thing you actually desire because somewhere in your past there was pain. So the body is going to do everything possible to make sure that doesn't happen. And it could be just one gland, one organ, one belief system, one system in the body that just needs to be identified. It's like a distortion in the field: released and replaced. And then there's movement forward.
Nikkiey: That makes so much sense now. I'm tying it to my own experience. So much sense.
Candace: Exactly. I don't give you all of it. You can't retain all of it in your mind. I'm just doing things with you, supporting you in the process. But yeah, once you clear those allergies and addictions, there's no more fight-flight response to prevent you from having it.
Nikkiey: It makes 100%... The way my brain is processing it right now is like surviving or thriving.
Candace: Absolutely.
Nikkiey: So we'll dive into fight and flight, because before you, I was in, and still a little bit today, definitely a lot of fight. And now we're learning to be more flight.
Candace: And it's a process, right? And it's a gentle process. Those fight-flight responses have kept us safe our whole life. For me personally, I was born in Zimbabwe, in Harare, at the time of the Rhodesian War. We slept under our bed with my mom with a gun to keep us safe. And we were refugees. We had to leave there with our bags and nothing. And that is the world I was born into.
So fight-flight responses energetically carry through. My mom as a protection, sitting there protecting us, fearing for our lives. My dad. And we're around those environments where we're also absorbing somebody else's fight-flight response when we're very little, right? We're having those experiences and we're absorbing what our parents are going through. So unless we identify it, some of it's not even ours, right? We're living from this space.
I don't know if you ever heard that story about the meatloaf. There's a grandma, mom, and the daughter in the kitchen, and they're cutting off the edges. Every generation did it. And the grandma's like, well, no, we didn't have a pan that it fit in. So it's like, what is yours? What isn't yours? And really just getting curious with all that.

I love that. Get rid of all the generational traumas that we have. Along with fight and flight, which we'll dive into, do you think that there's a deeper energetic or emotional alignment that needs to happen for the manifestation process to truly work?
Candace: Yeah, absolutely. I see your mind still going in there. So I want you to imagine this, and I know, again, people are not always watching. You know when you see those art studios and you see a three-dimensional piece of art, and when you turn it sideways, there are all these layers of pieces that make it look physical, a three-dimensional view from the front? Have you seen those?
Nikkiey: I think so.
Candace: Okay, well, let's imagine a tapestry, right? On the back of the tapestry, it's messy, right? So, again, going back to the three-dimensional piece of art, you turn it sideways and there are all these slivers. When I'm looking in somebody's energetic field, there are all these distortions that happen, emotional trauma and experiences that create these distortions. Now, if we don't deal with these, or accept them, love them, appreciate them for what they've done and how they've supported us until this moment in time, all we're doing is having a perception of what's possible in the future from a past result.
So all we're going to do now is put these layers of frequencies and distortions into the future. We know it. It keeps us safe. For me in the past, it was easier to be hurt than loved, because I knew how to be hurt and I knew how to survive in that space. To actually be loved, supported, and held space for, no way would I allow myself to be there, because it's terrifying. Can somebody actually love me? It's terrifying. So what happens is we put all these past experiences into the future and then we live into that.
So even though our mind and our heart know we want something different, those emotional energies and frequencies that are keeping you safe are going to be something that you're living into all the time. And we're in a time right now where the frequency on the planet is so incredibly awesome to be alive, but it's also incredibly terrifying and it's a wild ride. To me, I'd rather clear out any and all karmic debt. God wants us to have heaven on earth. And to have heaven on earth, we have to come from this neutral, non-fight-flight response daily. The only way to predict your future is to create it. So how do you want that future to look? How do you want it to feel? How do you want to step into it? But if you're coming from this scary space of fear, abandonment, I'm not good enough, all these things, your future is going to look the same over and over. And it's going to be frustrating.
Nikkiey: Extremely frustrating. I love that you just said that, because I took the time about an hour ago to record a podcast around self-worth. And a very similar phrase to what you just said, I spoke to in the podcast. I said that if women are looking to achieve a goal from a mindset of lack, that they have to fix something that's wrong with their body, then they're going to burn out. They're going to get tired. They're going to lose motivation when the process gets really hard. Instead, look at it from: I'm already worthy as I am right now, and what I'm going to accomplish within this journey is just becoming a more confident version of myself or a stronger version of myself.
It's like this book that I'm reading right now called Worthy by Jamie Kern Lima. Have you heard of that book before?
Candace: Yeah.
Nikkiey: She says, which makes sense, and I see it in our work together, that through all of the things you accomplish and go through in life, you carry the same you along the way. And a lot of the things that people look to accomplish are for external validation, and they think they're going to find their worth through that, when really self-confidence and self-worth are completely different things. We're already worthy. We're already enough. We're already lovable. And we need to understand that and understand the mess that comes with it. But if we want to get to our future self, we need to be aware of the narratives that we're saying, and work with them in order to... I just lost my mind. Transform it.
Candace: Yeah, perfect. And I love all that. And we are not broken. We are made perfect, whole, complete in God. Going back to the outside need for validation or love or all those things, it all has to happen internally. It's like this little garden that you're planting internally that you can now activate.
Now, there's a dying-off process too, right? This version of you has kept you so safe, and now you're creating this future version of you. There's this in-between, gray, fuzzy, very uncomfortable, unstable space where you're dying. You're literally dying to a version of yourself. And we want to kick and scream and hold on tightly. I'm dying. And you feel like it. You literally feel like you're dying because you really are. There's a part of you that's become your identity, right? Sometimes we get addicted to being the victim. I was there. There were times where I was a victim of some seriously horrific stuff, but I got stuck in being a victim of it.
But there's that dying-off period, and that is the messy, in-between, yucky space where you need radical trust, support, and the processes and tools to help the body. So there's that space in between: energetically visualizing, creating that future version of yourself. And in that space in between, we have to help the physical body catch up to the manifestation. So all those little tools are helpful. We want to speed through. I want to speed through. I don't want to drag on. I don't want to sit in it. Like, let's go.
Nikkiey: Seriously. That's what's amazing about your work. I've come to you saying that I feel a certain way, where I'm kind of stuck in between or I'm uncomfortable, I'm scared, I feel like I'm dying. And then I talk to you and you energetically shift me. And that's how fast it is. You're like, that's all it is, it's an energy shift. And I'm like, I feel great.
Candace: Yeah, exactly.
Nikkiey: I feel like I'm losing my mind, but I feel great.
Candace: Yeah. Absolutely.
Nikkiey: So in the process, there are a lot of subconscious patterns and a lot of past traumas that we go through and deal with. How do those patterns and traumas interfere with our ability to manifest the life that we desire?
Candace: So going back to fight-flight responses, imagine an animal in the wild. It's under threat. It dashes, the heart rate elevates, the muscles tighten, the breath quickens, and it's gone. If you look at it in 30 minutes, there's no threat. The animal goes back into this coherent state. It's eating. Its babies are around. No problem. Us as humans tend to stay in that fight-flight response.
Coherency means the brain, the heart, and the gut are all in alignment, all in sync. When we slow down the breath, we slow down the heartbeat, and we just get present, we have access to alpha brain states. When we're in that state, it's like a funnel coming down the top of our head. Information comes in, opportunities; you can see more. When we're in these fight-flight responses, it's kind of like electrical wires all spazzed out. You see someone when they're in that state; they look spazzed out. So the body and the mind can't compartmentalize the information they need when they're incoherent. It has to come from the heart, and the body has to be in alignment. So yes, we can manifest in that state, but it's going to be something that you don't want. So we want to get the body coherent, calm.
For example's sake, my son was in an incredibly terrible accident two years ago. Fifteen percent chance of survival, the worst brain injury you can imagine. And I was in the hospital working on him, and then I'd have patients to come to. They didn't know what was going on with me, but I had to be so coherent and available for the miracle that I'm performing on someone, or God is through me, right? I'm the tool. But in that prayer, I'm thanking God that he's looked after. I know and visualize him coming out of that state. And that is the coherency: being able to see past the state that you're in right now and visualize and trust and know with that feeling that it's possible to have a different result. It doesn't matter what it looks like right now. So it's extremely important.
Nikkiey: So in terms of fight or flight, in the context of stress, how can we stay aligned? How, when we're under a state of stress, can we stay aligned with the energy of what we want and what we want to accomplish for ourselves?
Candace: So for me, I've shared with you too the six fundamental practices, right? We want to make sure this container that we have is as coherent and full of Qi life-force energy as possible. So always number one is prayer and gratitude. Getting so present. Also, if you're in such a fight-flight response, slow, deep nose breathing to start to regulate the nervous system.
But you can also look around and say, I can have this. I can have this. I can have this. Get your body present to something around you. Look at a flower. Get your body here and now. Again, when I'm in that massage room and my son is in this extreme experience, all my job is to do is use my breath and become so present to my environment. And then I can soften the body. And then I can use my visualization for the result I want. I know it's not easy, and I've been there a million times over. I can promise you it will work. I've seen miracles beyond miracles beyond miracles by doing just that little bit of getting your body coherent, soft, and available for the miracle to occur.
Nikkiey: There's so much power in the breath. I'm learning that with you.
Candace: Mm-hmm.
Nikkiey: The fundamentals that you just talked about, everyone that's listening, there's going to be an area beneath this podcast in the description where you can download this PDF. And there's also a QR code on that PDF, if you're loving this conversation with Candace and you feel called to work with her more, that you can scan to see what it would be like to work with Candace. I highly recommend it. I just bought my, what, third package with you? So the manifestation practices, you can give that whole one. Is that the one you have available?
Candace: Mm-hmm.
Nikkiey: Perfect. So you talked about the breath work. Are you specifically referring to the nine breath, or anything in general?
Candace: You know, if somebody doesn't even know what the nine breath is, God gave us life through our nostrils. It's free. Literally go outside. If you're in an extreme fight-flight response, get your feet on Mother Earth. She's so good at transforming energy. Again, when we're in that state, the energy gets built up in the physical body. And when we are inside with shoes on, it's got nowhere to disperse, so it's going to extend it.
That, again, becomes an addiction over time, right? The body gets addicted to that cortisol level. So we want to get the body to understand that right now nothing's happening. In this moment, I'm safe. There's nothing happening. I'm okay. Get your feet on the ground. Breathe. Soften the shoulders. Soften the body. We tend to tense up. Relax, and then ask yourself, what do I want?
Nikkiey: Yeah.
Candace: Believe me, we all do it, right? It's human nature. It's just how we protect ourselves. We want to fight and run. So, simple. And then, of course, we have a little bit more intensive breathing. The nine breath is going to really cleanse and clear. But nose breathing is the best for me personally. There are so many techniques out there, of course. The nose breath goes through the limbic system to the parasympathetic, and a couple of deep breaths in and out through the nose are going to calm that nervous system really, really fast.
And then you can say, okay, what do I want? If I had a choice, how do I want this outcome to be? And you do have a choice. We don't think we have a choice in that moment. We believe that the worst thing in the whole world is going to happen, everything is going to fall apart, and I'm going to die. That's literally where it goes.
Nikkiey: That's exactly where it goes.
Candace: Exactly. You're not the only one. I promise.
Nikkiey: Quick break. If you're finding this episode helpful so far, it would mean a lot if you could hit pause for just a second, leave a quick rating or a review, or share it with someone who could benefit from it. Your support helps more women discover these tools to build muscle, lose fat, and feel confident. Thank you so much for being a part of this journey with me.
So you're mentioning the nervous system. Are there signs or symptoms that indicate that someone's nervous system is dysregulated and holding them back?
Candace: You know, again, you can kind of see it, right? And anxiety. Anytime the body is in discomfort, the body will communicate. If there's anxiety, the body's telling you something's off, something's not right. Our natural state is to be in a peaceful state. Obviously, I'm a believer. Anytime I'm in that state, I'm going to ask God, please come in. Allow me to receive that peace within me. But you can feel blood pressure rise, anxiety rise. You're not sleeping. You're not eating. These are all signs that the body is not regulated. And just those fundamentals of prayer, gratitude, breath work, movement, connection, nutrition, and expression are going to help the nervous system and help you sleep.
Nikkiey: So something that I've been working on with you is understanding what my body is trying to tell me, because I used to be in my head a lot of the time. I kind of have the answer, but I want to frame it up so people can resonate with what I'm saying. How can someone learn to understand what their body is telling them? I didn't know that the pit in my stomach was associated with X, Y, and Z, or the heart pounding was associated with X, Y, and Z, or other things that we feel in our body. How can we recognize what our body is trying to tell us?
Candace: Beautiful. The body is always going to communicate, right? And most of the time it's going to be with discomfort. So let's say, for example's sake, a woman is in a relationship and she has a constant right shoulder pain. The right shoulder is going to indicate that she's taking on a lot of responsibility in the masculine side of the relationship. I mentioned it the other night: You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay. The back of that book is great. It's a great start. That was one of the first books I read when I was 20, and I got super fascinated. Hello, Lily, my little healer girl. Any time I had any little boo-boo: oh, let me see what my body is saying, right?
So you're always going to get information back. The body is going to communicate. And then just sit with it. You don't have to have the Louise Hay book. You can just sit with it. Okay, I can feel it. And the tool of tapping into it and asking: Does it have a shape? What color is it? Does it have a smell? Can I taste it? What does it want? What doesn't it want? Those will help make it tangible. And once it's tangible, it can then be transformed.
So, for example, that feeling in your gut, right? You're sitting with it. That sensation is very common. I see similar things all the time. Triangle, square, rectangle, whatever the shape is. It's black. It's dark. It tastes yucky. It smells.
Nikkiey: Metallic.
Candace: Yeah. Metallic is very common, right? That's a very common energy. The lung is a metal element, and sometimes when we have grief, the taste of metal can come into your mouth. So, beautiful. You can taste it, right? The body's saying, hmm, something's off. I can taste that metallic taste. I can smell it. Not always smelling with the nose; you're smelling with the nose behind the nose. It's the imaginary. We have mental faculties to be able to identify these things.
So once you give it a form and a structure, you can then welcome it out of the body and put something more beautiful inside. I feel peace. I can release and let go of the thing that is holding me back. You don't have to know what it is. You can just give it some kind of form and acknowledgement, because that's all it wants. And listen, Google's great. Hey, my left toe hurts. I stubbed it. What does that mean? There's plenty of information out there. And once you've recognized it, you'll be surprised: the energy will go and then you have no more discomfort.
Nikkiey: And I can say that as a true testament. On day one, you asked me particular things and then I had to give it a shape. And it was in my throat. I forget what color it was, but it was metallic tasting. And after that, it gave me a lot more strength to be able to navigate. I believe it was expression.
Candace: Yeah. Speaking our truth, right? There's something holding it back. And you can be curious: okay, where did it come from? How old was I when I first couldn't speak my truth? What happened? Who was there at the time? And what's so great, going back to that three-dimensional view, is that we are multidimensional. So we can go back to that space as a three-year-old that didn't have a voice and was shut down, and give her the opportunity to now have freedom, and watch her unravel and become this version of the self now, being able to speak her truth.
So we have this ability not only to create the future, but to actually rewrite our past so it no longer holds us back. And it's so freeing. To me, it's so playful. I love it. There are so many angles you can go in and out of. As someone's speaking, you can feel the depth and the heaviness of a word that's coming up in conversation. And then it's like, okay, that's curious. Let me go there. What's there? What's under there? So it doesn't have to be so serious. Just be playful with it. Open to: okay, show me. Show me what's there.
Nikkiey: Yes. I love that. I love the work that you do, Candace. More people need your healing. It's amazing. How do practices like energy alignment, energy healing and breath work help bypass the mental blocks that keep us stuck? I think we've maybe incorporated that a little bit already, right?
Candace: So once we can identify and shift that fight-flight response, it no longer has any hold or frequency. I like to dissolve energy and also remove roots. So now all of a sudden it doesn't even exist, and you're in a neutral state. There's no fight-flight response. And once we're neutral, we then have a choice. Up until that moment in time, we don't actually have a choice. The body's trying to keep you safe with its fight-flight responses. And it's been doing it so long, it feels like we don't have a choice; we actually don't. My kitty keeps trying to come get love on the table.
So getting to neutral, we can then decide: okay, it's not actually mine. It's now gone. It's complete. So now, what do I want it to look like? Then there's the aspect of attracting the manifestation of your dreams into your reality. And all of a sudden it comes so damn fast. Then it's like, oh my God, I don't deserve it. I'm terrified. I'm scared. Why is it here now? I'm not ready. So again, we've got to help the body catch up to what we just asked for. That is the process too. We ask for something, and we don't know what it looks like because we've never had it. So when it shows up, it feels a little different to what we expect, and it can be overwhelming. So then there's more processing to do.
It's opening up that receiver, right? And that's the biggest thing. Actually, that should have been number one. Our receivers are so blocked. This container that we want all these magnificent, beautiful manifestations to come into, there's literally no space. So it's opening that receiver, cleansing and opening and feeling safe. Nothing can hurt you. You're made in the image of God. You're immortal. There's nothing that can take that away.
Nikkiey: I firmly believe that now. I definitely wouldn't have said that months ago. You know me. I came from the masculine; the feminine side of me was nonexistent. It's way more out there now and playful. But that can be hard to grasp and navigate. I always thought that I had to work, work, work. And now I'm learning God has a plan, and he's working it all out for you.
Candace: And yeah, we have a plan and he laughs.
Nikkiey: Yeah, exactly. Everything you're saying is just so spot on. And when you do ask for the things that you want, be ready. What they said in church the other day, and this is a little off topic, let me find it: don't ask God for something you can't hold.
Candace: Perfect.
Nikkiey: Exactly. How would you break down or unpack that statement?
Candace: It's perfect when it comes to exactly what we're saying, right? We have this container full of all these belief systems. Imagine a house. You've got all this furniture, and you want to bring new furniture in. You've got to get the old furniture out first. There's literally no space for it. So yes, we ask God for all these things. And then someone gives us a compliment and we're like, oh, no, no, no, thanks. We want these massive manifestations, but we can't even accept a compliment.
I was really weird around getting gifts. I'm super aware of it now. I'm an excellent receiver. I love gifts. It's amazing. But I noticed that when someone would give me a gift, it was almost like it didn't exist. I would completely ignore it and just carry on talking like nothing happened. It was this bizarre experience around receiving. So we ask God, and you've got to be prepared and ready, because God's going to give it to you. You ask for it. But if you have no space for it, you're not going to be able to keep it, and you're not going to be able to fully receive it. So I love that.
Nikkiey: Yeah. I took it in because he was talking about 2025 as he was preaching his sermon. So many people come into the new year with resolutions, wanting to go after goals and the things they aspire to be or the person they want to become. But then they start asking for all of these things that they're sometimes not ready to receive or hold on to. He was talking more to the point that you've got to show God that you're ready to receive the gift too. You've got to start putting in the work, or something along those lines.
Candace: And that's 100% right. And also what happens is we get commitment checkers, and we get imposters too. Things will come into your space and you're like, oh my gosh, here it is. I've had these experiences. One of them was literally something on my vision board, and it happened. The experience happened, and then my feeling, my gut, said something was wrong and off. And then it ended up being really not good at all. But what I got in that moment, from the work that I've done, was that it was no longer a fight-flight response. It was an accurate feeling of: this is not okay. So it was such a great experience for me, because it made me super aware that I've done the work now. It's not me shutting it off. It's me being so aware that even though it looked exactly like what I wanted, I could feel it was the imposter.
And we will get these commitment checkers along the way. Are you ready for it? Okay, let me see. And once the manifestations start to come into your field, because it's all energy and it's all happening and it's all available now, you might see something come in. Don't grab it and hold on to it like that's it, because sometimes it's the stepping stone to it. Just be like, wow, I can see it's in the field. Maybe somebody else gets what you're asking for. Don't get disappointed by it. It's available and it's there. Get excited with it.
Nikkiey: Yeah. I love that. While we're on the topic of the new year, what practices or tools would you recommend to help people set aligned intentions for themselves and follow through with inspired action?
Candace: I think number one is, every single morning, spend five to ten minutes. What are the non-ideals? What are the things that show up? The belief systems that are in the way? What are those mindsets? What are the words that you're speaking out? Getting super aware. We have to have awareness first, right? And as you sit with those, again, gratitude: wow, thank you so much. There's a little girl inside there, or little boy, that made a decision at a very young age: I'm not worthy, I'm not lovable, because something happened. All these belief systems then vibrate out into the universe and attract experiences to prove you right. So this young girl becomes a teenager and then an adult who has all this evidence that she's not wanted, she's unlovable. So we need to break those down first and be super, super gentle on ourselves.
And in the trigger is the transformation. We take things personally, right? Somebody does something and they're doing it to us. Oh my gosh, I'm hurting so bad that person did that to me. No one's doing anything. Be curious. Okay, what part of me, how am I attracting that? That's when I got super aware, when The Secret came out, that I was creating this abusive relationship. Are you out of your mind? What the hell? So I'm like, okay, good. Let's look at that. How am I showing up? What part of me believes that I deserve something so horrific? And I started breaking those down and just being curious, embracing the discomfort. When those uncomfortable things come, and they will as the new reality is starting, just say: and I love it. It hurts, and I love it. Great. Let's follow that. I know it's horrible.
And then, of course, the art of receiving, right? We create a specific goal, a non-specific goal, and then we create the magical things daily. A specific goal would be: I want a house. It's on the beach. I want this furniture, I want that furniture, whatever it is. The non-specific is: oh my gosh, when I walk into the space, I feel alive. I smell the ocean. It just feels good. It makes me feel connected. Often the specific goals can actually keep us trapped, because it's this or better, right? We want to open up that space. And then that's happening anyway. But now we want to play in the magic.
There are a couple of us, my girlfriends, who do a mastermind weekly, and we create something. This week we said, okay, we're going to create a baby octopus, or an octopus, to come into our experience. My girlfriend Candice is in South Africa and owns a men's-only hair salon. She always annoys me; she gets them faster than me. But the next guy that came into her chair started telling her about this octopus that he found on the beach, and he was telling her all about how it changed shape and this and that. So, yeah, it's great. And of course we've seen octopuses all week long. But we're like, okay, let's embody it. What is the octopus's frequency? They're smart. They're curious. They can shape-shift.
So we want to have the specific, the non-specific, and then the play. We want to see something that we're manifesting come into our field. That gives us a point of reference and excitement that the other things are possible. We tend to hold on to the specific. We don't see it yet. We get doubts. We get like, oh, it's not working. It's happening. Let it go and play in these little spaces where you can see the result. So whoever's watching, I want you to think of an octopus and let us know when you find it. And you can't look for it. It's just going to come to you. It's just going to show up. You'll see an octopus.
Nikkiey: I can't wait till I see an octopus.
Candace: I know. Yeah, good. Tell me.
Nikkiey: I'm really going to text you.
Candace: Good. I want to know all about it. And then using visualization, right? Our mind is a powerful tool. Sit 15 minutes, three times a day, seeing, feeling, imagining how that experience is going to be. And every time you're at a light, do a one-minute flash meditation. Just say it out loud: Oh my God, I can't believe it. I'm in the house of my dreams. It's incredible. You must see the bedspread. It's so comfortable. All my girlfriends come around all the time and I love it. We're eating yummy food. Speak it out and play with it.
Nikkiey: That is such a powerful way of thinking about goals and what you want to go after and setting aligned intentions. People always just say, hey, I want to lose 10 pounds, 20 pounds, 50 pounds. But that's it. And then by the end of the year, they didn't accomplish it, and they get discouraged or they put themselves down. I always ask people why. And I love what you said about non-specifics. If I'm understanding it, it's: how does it make you feel? What is it like walking around in that type of body, having that type of body?
Candace: Absolutely. I feel so strong. My body just shapes and transforms so rapidly. It's so incredible. I feel more alive than I've ever felt before. I'm so hydrated. Things magnetically come to me. This body is just like, wow, 10 pounds gone in a month. It's amazing. Speak into it, feel it.
Nikkiey: Or you could achieve that feeling, from what I'm understanding, and not necessarily lose 10 pounds, but your body could still look... because weight is weight.
Candace: Well, yes and no, right? What happens with the physical body is we need to accept it exactly as it is before we can transform it into something else. So by feeling, thinking, acting, being in that physical shape, or 10 pounds lighter, as if it is now, the body will then catch up to that feeling and to declaring it is so. So you're living in that 10-pound-lighter body now, as if it has already happened.
Nikkiey: I got it. That makes sense. That brings me back to when I first started my journey. For nine months, I prepped for a bodybuilding competition. At the beginning, I didn't have the body I had when I stepped on stage nine months later, but I was already envisioning myself in that body.
Candace: And you looked great. I saw those pictures.
Nikkiey: Thank you. I was unconsciously competent at that time, is what I like to say. I had the vision. I saw the vision every day. And that's essentially what you're saying here too.
Candace: Beautiful. So it's the same, right? We're imprinting. With this future version of ourselves, there's a formless substance that is available for us to imprint. The same as we have these little layers behind us, we now have this future version that we imprint through visualization. But now with quantum physics, we can bend time and merge it into the physical body that we're in now. So it'll happen rapidly compared to before.
Nikkiey: Yes.
Candace: Yes. I love that.
Nikkiey: So powerful, because people can achieve their goals in three months, six months, nine months, nine years.
Candace: Yeah. Depending on what you want, right?
Nikkiey: Exactly. Well, as we start to wrap up, I want to talk a little bit about your journey and expertise. What has been the most rewarding aspect of your work as an energy healer?
Candace: There are so many paths to drive. Just to watch, even with you, the stepping into who you know you're meant to be. I'm actually speaking at another event tonight. I can't remember the title off the top of my head; The Impact of the Immeasurable, I think. But two weeks ago, I had a lady reach out to me. She's been following me for a while; nine years ago she came to a Qigong seminar, and she's done some of my work. And she reached out and said, Candace, I have to go into surgery in a week's time. The doctor says I need immediate surgery on my heart. It's blocked.
There was literally no frequency in the front of her heart. It was dense. It was dark. So I'm like, okay, let's do some energetic surgery, because that's what I'm doing. I'm working on someone's field, creating that energy frequency, clearing the distortions, energetically putting it back to the frequency of God, blending the heart. She had a treble hook in her heart; these are all energy things I see. It was released. It came from in the womb with her mom. I cleaned her up, all done, the heart looked beautiful, and I just kept saying: intend and say, I've got a beautiful, healthy heart. All is good. And I said to her, wouldn't it be amazing if they went in there and you had a healthy heart? She went in on the Friday and messaged me on Saturday. Within five minutes of the surgery, the doctor stopped and said, you have zero block and you have a healthy heart. And she's written me a testimonial.
With the work that we're doing together, I know there's this transformation, but that is an actual tangible result. God works through me every day. And I don't care how many times it happens; it's always a miracle. But that to me is like, wow.
Nikkiey: That's incredible. That's incredible. Speechless.
Candace: Me too. And I know it happens because I see it in the field. But to actually get that within a week... Actually, that's what I said to her. The healing already happened, right? The heart was already healthy. Now we've got to get the body to catch up. And those are the tools: visualization, breath work, eating healthy. But within that short space of time, she had zero block. They were going to put a stent in her heart. And he said, your heart is healthy. Those are exactly the words he used.
Nikkiey: That's the Lord's work. That's God's work. I'm reading Matthew right now. I signed up for a 70-day challenge.
Candace: Love it.
Nikkiey: I'm going to read the New Testament in 70 days.
Candace: Yay.
Nikkiey: Reading all about Jesus' sermon.
Candace: Well, as a believer, right, we get to perform miracles in his name. And I know for a fact that Jesus performs miracles for me every single day. And to see a result like that, I'm like, wow, Jesus.
Nikkiey: Wow. That's insane. And then you were... sorry, go ahead.
Candace: No, no, carry on.
Nikkiey: You even shared two stories with me last night. One, you showed me an energy field on a woman's shoulder. You share the story. I don't want to say it.
Candace: So, yeah, it's amazing that we captured that on camera. Those are two pictures I'm taking with me tonight.
Nikkiey: Yeah.
Candace: When I saw her, you could tell her coloring was off. Everything was off. And that was a projection and a curse created by her boyfriend's ex-wife. This is how powerful curses can be, right? There was this energy frequency on her shoulder. And she said, Candace, I just feel like something's sucking the life out of me. How we caught it on camera, I don't know. But you can see that entity, that thing that was right on her shoulder. When I'm doing energetic work, obviously I'm praying. I always create this golden bubble so we can bring that frequency into that space, dissolve it and scramble it so it's done and doesn't go anywhere else. And then infuse her with God's love. And look at the difference. That was 20 minutes.
Nikkiey: That's amazing. When you sent me that, my jaw dropped. So cool.
Candace: So cool. And to get evidence... Joe Dispenza is doing all the work on evidence and all the scientific research, which is amazing. Because 23 years ago when I started, I was a weirdo and everyone thought I was crazy. But now we have evidence. And this is evidence, which is great. You get to actually see God's work in action. And I'm always in awe of God using me like that. Really, it's an honor.
Nikkiey: You truly are doing God's work, and it's so incredible. Everyone listening to this episode right now, I know it's a little bit outside of what we normally bring to the podcast. But I really hope that you heard everything Candace has been sharing with you, because there's so much power in her words. Take what she's sharing with you, and also what I'm going to share in the description below this podcast, which is the PDF. It's free. You just heard Candace's words for free. This PDF is free. And what's in that PDF are the things she's taught me through our practice together that you can literally take and implement into your life. And without a doubt, there's going to be some type of change. If you are willing to put in the work and the focus to develop the skills, you will be unstoppable, right?
Candace: Yeah, exactly. Get rid of the fight-flight responses. Get super clear and curious, right? I love it.
Nikkiey: Amazing. Yeah, that's definitely where it starts: getting super curious. That's where it all started with me too.
Candace: And look where it took you.
Nikkiey: There's definitely got to be a podcast in the future where we reconnect and share more of the journey that we've been on together, because I know it will resonate so much.
Candace: I'd love it.
Nikkiey: In a particular way.
Candace: I'd also be happy to facilitate an actual session live. That would be fun.
Nikkiey: Woo. Maybe not.
Candace: I know.
Nikkiey: You know me. I'm always open. And in any way that I know could help someone, I'm so down for it.
Candace: I mean, how fun would that be?
Nikkiey: Messy.
Candace: It would be fun. You'll be hiding.
Nikkiey: I'm trying to hide all sorts of things.
Candace: You can't hide. The saddest thing, though, is that no one can hide a thing from me, and it's okay. You know, I...
If it doesn't feel good to you, they will get their own stuff exposed. And all of a sudden, you're not recognizable, and it's uncomfortable for those around you. So it's really important to have that safe container and awareness and conversations with those you love, for sure.
Nikkiey: Amen. 100%. Well, Candace, thank you so much for joining us here today, and thank you for all of the insights you've shared with us on energy healing, manifestation, and transformation.
